Our very hyper active Wheaten Terrier puppy, Monte, has not had the best of luck with getting groomed in the past. In fact, one of the groomers in our town (will not mention any names), refused working with him because he was "difficult." Saying he was biting the bather, although he has never exhibited anger towards anyone in the past, and being "impossible to groom." They were not even nice to my husband and I telling us we aren't doing enough to correct his behavior. Nervous to try another groomer due to our unpleasant experiences elsewhere, we began searching for another place to bring him. I called Pampered Pets fall of this year, explaining to them that we have a Wheaten who has been kicked out of our former groomer, hates the bath and we don't know what to do. They reassured us that they have a lot of experience working with this breed and it's not just him, but most Wheatens are a touch more sensitive to getting groomed; they are not always the biggest fans, but need someone who is going to be patient with them and give them the time to open up to it. We brought him in, had another conversation with the staff letting them know our previous experiences, stayed in the area in case they could not handle him and so on. We were so nervous they were going to call us within a 1/2 hour telling us to come pick him up! They told us that they would call us if they needed extra time, or had any troubles, but reassured us that they would take the time Monte needed to get a good grooming. They called, needed extra time.. which is okay! We appreciated that...Take all the time you need! Picked him up about 2.5hrs after drop off and he looked the best he EVER looked. They gave us a great progress report, no he was not biting, yes he hates the bath and being restrained, which we knew.. but otherwise, he is a kind, lovable pup! Told us a few things we could do to help his insecurities, which we have been working on... but to not worry, he is not UNgroomable! Also, important to note, Monte's demeanor after his first time at Pampered Pets was WAY different than when we used to pick him up from the groomer in town. He was our tail waggin', happy puppy versus having blood shot eyes, anxious and scared like he was after his other grooming sessions. We took him back on 12/23 to get his Christmas haircut and let me just tell you... he was in and out within 2 hours, a record breaking appointment! They said he did great, he's getting used to it more. He was giving kisses! He was calmER!! Still have to work on a few things, but he was a good dog!!!! It made our WEEK! And he looked AMAZING!!!!!! Monte will never go to another groomer so long as Pampered Pets is around! They are wonderful. Positive, kind, patient, helpful, easy to talk to.. just what you want out of your groomer AND MORE. We feel confident in leaving Monte there, knowing he is in good hands. So, thank you Pampered Pets! You guys rock! Highly recommend them for all your grooming needs.

When we planned our vacation, we set up a trial day to see how our baby would act staying there, and after hearing she did well, we booked her stay. Bailey was there for 5 days, and each day we received a photo or video of her with an update on how she was doing. If anything had happened we were contacted immediately (though nothing went wrong). In every photo Bailey looked very happy and we will definitely will be using their service again!

Thank you thank you thank you…read more For the last 8 years whenever I took Gracie to the groomer she would come back a complete mess, to the point where she wouldn't sleep or eat for days, we went several times to the vet after having her groomed and it ended up costing us a lot of money it got to the point where we would look for any excuse not to take her to the groomer until it got to the point where she absolutely was in pain from all her hair matting A few days ago we got to that point where we decided she needs to go to the groomer and we reached out on Facebook asking people for a recommendation for a good groomer, close to 90% recommended that we take them to the downtown dog, we where nervous, we knew we are opening a can of warms, we know that we have 2 weeks of broken sleep and hours at the vet ahead of us but we had no choice We dropped off the dogs Monday morning, we where a wreck, we looked for any excuse to call them and see how she is doing (we had both dogs there, but Addison was never a problem) every time we where assured that she is doing fine which was a huge relief. We picked up the dogs expecting to see Gracie shiver and stand at the corner but instead we got a happy dog with its tail wagging excited to see us, at home Gracie right away went to her dish and ate all her pebbles, she fell asleep on her mommy and slept until we got up, she eats she sleeps she is not shivering she is happy and looks so cute with her new haircut. She smelled like a dirty moldy crate as soon as I got in the car and the smell is still lingering! I really regret ever bringing my dog here. I don't think she was even bathed! Her nails were barely cut or trimmed. They also charged way more than other places. Stay away from this creepy filthy place! They didn't even have a business sign up. The whole place was a turn off. Not only did the salon do a great job with bathing, cutting nails, etc., they brushed and de-shed the dogs beautifully. Just recently, one of the dogs had some hot spots. My vet tried to shave the spots, but wasn't successful. I called Gentle Touch and they were able to squeeze him in before the holiday. They shaved the spots successfully in just a few minutes. All the staff have been very friendly and show great care to the animals. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!
