It was suggested we try horse bedding pellets in lieu of clay cat litter so after a little research, I found that TSC carries 40lb bags for only $8! Jamul seems far but it was actually only a 20 minute drive from Lemon Grove. I initially did a curbside order and everything went smoothly but since we were already out there we decided to go inside and check out the store. All the employees greeted us and asked if they could help us find anything. As the name suggests, they carry tractors but also grills and smokers, all types of pet/livestock feed and supplies, tools, clothing, lawn care items and more. They even had the most adorable chicks for sale at $5 a piece (have to buy four or more). We had a great experience. read more

I recently adopted an adorable bunny and have been researching supplies. Pelletized pine beddings were suggested and at $7.99 for 40 lbs at TSC, highly economical. While my husband and I aren't always in the Jamul area, the 20-30 minute drive from Chula Vista isn't too bad and I appreciate that they have a decent-sized parking lot. Usually, the pelletized pine beddings are outside and typically, readily available. However, if this is an item you mainly go to TSC for, it doesn't hurt to check if it's in stock on their website. There was one occasion that my husband and I dropped by and they happened to be out of stock. However, the staff here was very helpful and assisted us with finding a suitable replacement until we could come back for the pelletized pine. It's also fun to go inside and see the cute seasonal decorations. Not going to lie, I was tempted to get one of their Silkie Chicken Christmas decorations. Other reviewers have also mentioned that there'll be baby chicks for sale, which I hope to see the next time I drop by. Overall, happy that there's a TSC relatively close by and has this great item along with other great items/supplies/equipment. Will be a repeat customer for the pelletized pine but most likely going to get some cute Christmas decor for the holiday season. read more

I love this store. We have been going here for years and everyone has always been wonderful! All of the staff that I encountered today was really friendly and helpful! It wasn't until I asked to talk to the manager about an issue I've had a couple of times with the dog wash. I started off each time with I'm not trying to complain but this def sounds like I am. Just a suggestion to help others who use their dog wash. It is a simple 10 second lift something up and dump out the hair. Duh! I know!! I did decided I would tell them because it's such an easy fix. The first young man said yeah we try our best several times so I asked to speak another manager because there is also a hose with old tape that allow you to shower along with your dog! Her response to issue 1 was was "I feel like most people would figure that out". Ok so I know to clean it myself everytime but I will also clean it when I leave to allow the next person who doesn't investigate how their plumbing works can have an easier experience especially when you're washing a large pet! Her response to the hose issue was they are short staffed. I get that because no matter where you go we are short staffed. If you can't maintain it put a simple sign up to help those of us that don't know. As far as the hose I will carry tape to wrap it when I go. The experience that I had today was 1 star but every other time I have been, it has been 10 stars!! read more

The manager is very confused and unprofessional. I came to wash my 2 dogs, the dog wash was disgusting. In the process of rinsing my dog the water started rising up on my dog so I had to take him out and finish rinsing him on the dirty floor. Apon leaving I spoke to the manager about the situation. He tells me I should of alerted an employee before I washed my dogs. Only thing is I don't work there, it's not my job. Why doesn't he check on the condition of his dog wash. All he was doing was leaning on a BBQ yacking with an employee about stuff that had nothing to do with their jobs there. I was doing my job, I came there paid for the use of their dog wash. Usually when I pay for the wash I get a free one about once a month but the cashier on this day didn't ask me my phone number so there was no chance I'd get a free wash on that day. I already bring my own towels my own soaps cause they don't ALLWAYS supply them and their soaps dry out my dog's skin. And my dogs have hair and not fur so they don't shed. There a easy wash. But on that day they went home with more grime then they came in with because of all the dog fur from the backed up drain. In my 63 years of going to complain to a manager I have never been treated as badly as the manager was on that day in tractor supply co. Why do they have such a creepy man there when he doesn't even do his job. And expects the customers should be in charge of informing them when to clean, unclog, supply towels or fill up the soap containers. They weren't even busy that day, like I said before all he'd been doing is leaning on a BBQ talking about himself with an employee. I live in jamul but I'm willing to drive far just so I don't have to deal with someone like him again. He brings a ghetto like atmosphere to a store I used to love coming to very much. Okay all, I don't normally do this but I am frustrated, overwhelmed and had the worst experience with Tractor Supply Jamul Tractor Supply Co. this morning (9.15.22). So I wanted to share so no one makes the same mistake as I did. Long story short, i live in the Jamul area (deerhorn to be specific) as as many of you know that live up this way, the last few weeks between the fires and the high winds and the rain have been a bit challenging! With that being said, I bought a horse/car shelter (that states it can withhold through strong winds and is whether proof) on 8.14.22 for a pair of horses we were gifted. I didn't get it put up until 8.21 (I remember because it's my hubbys bday and I made him do it since he was off). On Friday 9.9.22, the wind in upper deerhorn were so strong that it ripped the back part of the tarp and literally lifted it out of the ground (we used the stakes provided) and broke. I finally had time to de-assemble it yesterday evening (9.14.22 @ 3pm - finished at 7pm). Got it loaded into my truck to return this morning (9.15.22) because I didn't want to make the drive down late at night. I got to the store this morning, unloaded it with no help and brought it into the store. They said I was past the return period. I asked to speak to a manager for an exception as I was 1 day past and it's not like I was returning it because I didn't like it, it was because it was broken and a piece of . I spoke with JOEY ANDRES and at first it was like let me see. He went to the back and then called up to the cashier for him to tell me they won't take it back. I was like "are you kidding me?!? I'm about to flip out. Can you call him back up here?!?" JOEY ANDRES came back up and when I said are you serious, you can't make an exception, it's one day past the return timeframe (yes I was yelling at this point), he was like no, it's our policy (his attitude was like too bad so sad, no compassion, no understanding, no empathy what so ever). I asked for the corporate office number (which they were amazing and are trying to help me through it) and filed a complaint! I left the merchandise there because I couldn't do anything with it and decided to right this review so people like me that think it's just a day or two, won't have to go through the same thing. If you need to return something, make sure it's within the time frame even if it's out of your control or you'll probably end up like me...that is if JOEY ANDRES is the manager on duty!!! Let me also say that until today I have had no bad experience shopping there within the last two month, however based on today's total disregard, I will NEVER shop at this tractor supply again! read more

Paid $10 for basically a hose and water. The only scented shampoo was empty as were the other containers, no towels but a massive bin full of dirty and no brushes ect. It was like the absolute bare bones of a situation. Next time, I'll stay home and use my hose in the sun. This was pathetic!! I'm active military so I move a lot and every tractor supply dog wash I've been too was amazing. This sucked. F- read more

Went to Dixie line in Rancho San Diego to pick up a mechanical water timer. They had one for $17. Way too expensive so I decided to try tractor supply. Found one for $12. 40% savings. Should've went there first. Plus the employees there are always very helpful. read more

Nicole was very rude. The minute we walk through the door informs I can't have my diaper bag and to leave at the register all while smiling/laughing with another employee. Obviously a new employee, as I've never seen her before. I have a baby, we're not thieves. A whole nicer way of doing it instead of announcing it in front of customers the minute we stepped foot in. Came here because we are local to Jamul and needed a small propane tank finned . It's sprinkling today lightly at the moment and was told by two female employees that they can't fill propane in the rain! Let me add their propane area is covered and water proof. I went next door to the Gas station and they filled it with no hesitation and their propane area is not covered. I googled to see if there is some la against filling propane while it's sprinkling and there is not! They had only one customer in the whole store and many employees both male and female and not one person could do their job. read more

TSC is a clean and well organized store. I always enjoy their clothing department and find great deals in their clearance rack. Shopping for pet supplies and livestock needs are easy and convenient. Sometimes prices are higher that what Incan find elsewhere (disposable gloves) but other items are fairly priced and competitive with other stores in the area (chicken feed, pine shavings, clothing, house goods) read more

Really glad this place opened up. I have been coming about every two weeks for the dog wash. It's a great deal. I grab some items for my dog as well such as collar and leash and treats. They also have some great basic t shirts for men and women. I have always been greeted when entering. I have not had one negative experience with an employee. They are all super friendly and helpful. The only question I ask myself is what took me so long to finally visit the TSC!?!?? I can't stop raving about this place and have told all my close grit and family about the incredible deals, tools, and positive things about the Jamul, CA store! Since my first visit about 10 ago I've already returned TWICE! A friendly greeting is always there to greet me and everyone who enters and the level of splendid customer service and teamwork within the store is phenomenal! Great customer service hasn't died! It still exists in TSC!!! Georgina assisted me at checkout on two of those occasions and Ashley for the visit in the middle of the the three. They were so knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, and attentive from beginning to the end of each visit they had me shopping w a happy go lucky feeling the entire time! Thanks Ashley and kudos Georgina I appreciate you! Prior to my latest visit I dropped into an auto parts store and two hardware stores that were all closer to my home but I never found the item in needed. SMH. But I sure indeed found what I needed during yesterday's stop-in, which were 12" & 15" 1AWG negative battery cables! And then I still managed to buy stuff I wanted but heck ain't nothing like living a little bit =) I was asked if I needed any assistance from just about every employee with a genuine disposition and they answered any questions I had to the best of their ability. Thoroughly impressed! Ashley was bubbly and super accurate, plus my little bud TJ the teacup terrier bonded w her instantaneously. And, Georgina was quite impressive because she even brought up part of the conversation from a lil over a week prior! I almost forgot I mentioned it. Remarkable. I've used this store's curbside pickup a few times, and although it can be a little slow, today was something else. (It was especially important that I get curbside help today because ì have a bad cold and didn't want to expose the whole store.) I notified the store (via the app) that I was on my way and again when I arrived. The app said my order would be right out. It was not. I waited for 15 minutes and then called their number. I was put on hold for ten and hung up. Meanwhile, employees occasionally walked past me, carefully avoiding eye contact. After waiting over 30 minutes, I was finally able to get someone on the phone. She brought my order right out but didn't even apologize for or explain the oversight. This is incredibly poor service, especially given that the area has two other, locally owned, feed stores. For my purposes, curbside was the key advantage to using TSC. No more. read more
