I just love the breed, I suspect the eyebrows or the bear appearance really find the breed the best. Under the Covid 19 proceedures is an utter mess for shelters and adopters. The adoption process was strange for me but 100% no contact to me or the volunteers and staff. I got my BIG guy and his papers and drove two hours home with him. I am not sure about the negative reviews but I had a positive experience and I am still getting to know my very wiggly and happy guy, LUGAR. One note I was not aware that dog food, cat food, and supplies are on a donation basis. I was floored when the young lady told me on the phone when I called for the brand Lugar was being fed. I sent a donation through Chewy on behalf of LUGAR. This is a valuable community resource for rescues and potential adopters.

I answered calm so they turned me away telling me that kittens are not calm. No duh! Do they expect people to trade in their pets when they start to calm down. I know from experience that kittens can be calmed after years of ownership and I didn't want to adopt an adult cat only to lose it to death in a few years. Shame on them.
