Until recently, I had always been satisfied with the grooming quality. However, during our most recent visit, one of my dogs came home extremely skittish and frightened. She would not come near me for over two days, which was completely out of character. I was so concerned that I took her to the veterinarian to make sure nothing was physically wrong. Thankfully, she was fine. I later called the salon simply to ask whether anything unusual may have happened during her grooming appointment and was told no. When I called again to schedule a holiday appointment, I requested our usual groomer and politely asked that they be extra gentle with my female Maltese, explaining that she had seemed unusually traumatized after her last visit. After being put on hold, the manager came on the phone and abruptly told me they would no longer groom my dogs. I was shocked. I had never made any accusations--only expressed concern for my dog's wellbeing and asked for extra care. The explanation given was that they felt there had been "accusations," which I strongly disagree with. After six years of loyalty, I found this response extremely defensive, dismissive, and concerning. Being unwilling to even discuss a client's concern or reassure a long-term customer raises serious red flags for me. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this salon based on this experience.

However feeling adventurous I stopped in. This place smells like the home of someone who owns too many dogs but I guess that is because of the grooming. Checking out can be a pill as often advertised sales don't ring up. However there's a good selection of toys and treats and you could even adopt a kitty cat. The staff is helpful and they seem daily attentive to when they need to open another register. It just seems to be a slow moving place, and I spend the most time waiting to check out/checking out than anything else. BTW it's the end of August and the Halloween toys are out so pick them up before it's too late. Good selection.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Mark. He took in Kailey, a dog who had been considered…read morealmost impossible to handle. At the shelter she came from, only one person was able to walk her, and without Mark stepping up, she likely would have been euthanized. The moment Kailey arrived from Connecticut, Mark didn't hesitate. He immediately started working with her, patiently earning her trust and learning her quirks, her fears, and the situations that stressed her. What seemed like overwhelming challenges to others never became obstacles for him. Kailey had endured terrible abuse as a puppy, including being thrown down a flight of stairs, leaving her with deep trust issues. Thanks to Mark's patience, compassion, and understanding, she has completely transformed. Today she is living her best life and is now permanently boarding with him, where she is happy, safe, and loved. Mark doesn't just train dogs--he gives them a second chance. Kailey's story is proof of the incredible difference he makes. I would recommend him without hesitation.

We had difficulty getting updates other from Mark other than very brief videos of our dog lying down at the end of a leash, and she was just as reactive towards dogs and people as she was when we first adopted her. Upon requesting we meet at a dog park so he could demonstrate what he had taught her while in his custody, he immediately resigned as our trainer instead. Others have reported similar issues with Mark and On Command K9 Academy on his Facebook and multiple Google website pages. I would not trust Mark at all ever again. Dog lovers beware, and good luck finding a great trainer. Mark isn't one of them, and we are having to rehome our beloved dog now. An incredibly sad experience.

Overall, Ellenton premium outlets is a nice place to shop and has good prices definitely a better deal than your average mall.
