I've been a loyal customer of Leo & Lucky's for over six years. I originally brought my four Maltese there regularly until they sadly passed, and for the past two years I've continued bringing my two new Maltese, who have been groomed there since puppyhood. Until recently, I had always been satisfied with the grooming quality. However, during our most recent visit, one of my dogs came home extremely skittish and frightened. She would not come near me for over two days, which was completely out of character. I was so concerned that I took her to the veterinarian to make sure nothing was physically wrong. Thankfully, she was fine. I later called the salon simply to ask whether anything unusual may have happened during her grooming appointment and was told no. When I called again to schedule a holiday appointment, I requested our usual groomer and politely asked that they be extra gentle with my female Maltese, explaining that she had seemed unusually traumatized after her last visit. After being put on hold, the manager came on the phone and abruptly told me they would no longer groom my dogs. I was shocked. I had never made any accusations--only expressed concern for my dog's wellbeing and asked for extra care. The explanation given was that they felt there had been "accusations," which I strongly disagree with. After six years of loyalty, I found this response extremely defensive, dismissive, and concerning. Being unwilling to even discuss a client's concern or reassure a long-term customer raises serious red flags for me. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this salon based on this experience. read more

My dog had an appt. No one ever told me I had to go to the back of the store so she missed it by 2 minutes. They said "we can fit her in if we have time but it probably won't be until 3 if that's ok. You can just leave her here." Um without food and being walked? She said yeah... needless to say I didn't leave her, I just rescheduled. When I tried to take my dog back, she ran away once she saw their half door to the groomer. My dog has never ran away from people or a certain place, she cried and tried running away. Horrible grooming service. First time scissor cut all uneven. Said she was an easy groom but didn't want to overdo it. Look at photo #1 how long and uneven AFTER grooming. Second time they canceled at arrival, due to being short staffed and running behind...used excuse that she had been spayed 8 weeks prior even though my Vet cleared her for grooming the day before! Look at photo of her belly the day she was refused. Third time razor cut, head, ears, tail untouched, leg fur all uneven. Small dog grooming not Amber's forte! This is the best place to go to get your pets shots. They have periodic shot clinics and the pricing is fair.The Mobile Pet Hospital comes through here, check the schedule. The team that works with your pets are very friendly and helpful, and I got all my dogs shots, heartworm test and tags and it only took about 30 minutes. ( a longer line than normal) You can even buy your dogs heartworm and flea medicine. I have been taking my dogs to the groomer at Leo and Lucky's for years. Yesterday when I dropped them off at noon I asked what time to pick up the three dogs (a female pug, male pug, and American bulldog mix male) and was told no later than 7 pm. I rushed back to work. Normally my mom picks them up when ready, but she's been sick so I knew I'd have to leave them a bit longer. Approximately 3 hours later I received a phone message the girls (I gave two boys and a girl) were ready for pick up. I got to Leo and Lucky's about 5:15 pm, paid, tipped, and got my dogs in the car. When I got home and was getting my dogs out of the car I noticed a hole in my American bulldog's leg that was bleeding. The entire injury is about the size of a quarter with a longer laceration and a smaller, deeper hole the size of a black-eyed pea. I called Leo and Lucky's to notify them and they acted surprised. I took my dog to the Urgent Vet and $300.00 later he has three prescriptions, is wearing a cone, is on strict restricted activity for a week, and his wound has been cleaned and skin glued back together. I went to talk to the grooming staff and they told me the front desk was supposed to notify me. They then said my dog came in that way and they noticed the hole when they were drying him. Two things: 1. If my dog came in that way, they would have noticed an injury of that size that was bleeding and had puss when they washed him, not only when they sent to dry him. 2. If my dog came in that way, why would they wash an open wound?!?! I then asked why they didn't call me when they noticed he had an injury and was told that's not their policy. So, I believe I was lied to and they tried to cover up what happened. I told them we are severing our relationship. I cannot trust them and what happens if something happens in the future?!?! They also chastised me for waiting two hours after they told me the dogs were ready to pick them up. Had I known one of my dogs needed medical attention, I would have left work early and been there immediately to take my dog to the vet. I highly recommend you take your pets somewhere else where you can trust the grooming staff. read more

I've been going to this place over 2 yrs when in town. I use to look forward to getting my dogs nails done here. Kristen? The new manager is very pleasant but unfortunately for me the day I came in I was told she wasn't their. I made an appointment for my dog to get nails & a bath. It was the Holidays & wanted her looking & feeling her best. Well I got their & she came out looking like a scared rabbit, I just thought maybe because she was their over an hour? I got home & she smelled & felt still not bathed! I usually bathe her myself . Whom ever claimed they bathed her & charged me for a wipe down needs to be fired! Along with that Laziness my dog now seems to fear her bath at home! I will never step foot in their again. As not only was I ripped off but my dog was also! You need to watch who you hire! I love the self serve dog wash and it is so reasonable and they are so accommodating. We brought our 9 month old pup in for nail trimming and since our pup is a rescue He is very shy and gets scared easily with new people. The girls in the grooming were so gentle with my scared pup and did an amazing job on His nails. We use the self serve wash for Him and although our pup doesn't care for a bath He knows after He gets to pick out a new toy. We brought our basset hound here for the self dog wash. It was a great experience. First we got a coupon for a free one for signing up for their email list. Then we got a tutorial for using the dog wash. It was very easy to use and all supplies were included, including a huge choice of shampoos. Plentiful towels since Trudy does not care for the drier. They have countless fish varieties available here - from inexpensive gold fish and neons to more exotic tiger fish and puffers. Called before the Christmas Holiday to see about having my dogs nails trimmed. I was told they were short staffed and to busy. I was told you can come in without an appointment and have them trimmed. It's the new year now, so I figured I would stopped by to get my dogs nails trimmed, but was told the were still short staffed and they only performed this service at specified times. I hate to do a negative review but we have a Labradoodle who is 13. She has been being groomed at Leo & Lucky's for a few years. Unfortunately the lady who always took care of Molly left so we have had someone new doing her. Molly had a sore on her ear so the groomer wanted a note from the vet that it was ok to groom her. We took her to the vet and got a note. Dropped her off for her appointment and when we picked her up the groomer told us Molly was to old now for them to groom. He last grooming was horrible. The lady called and said her tail was matted so they had to shave it. The lady never did her ears, ( Doodles need the hair in their ears removed) She did not do all her nails. One nail actually became infected another trip to the vet. I just don't get how a place that does grooming can do a poor job on the dog and then tell you she is to old. Collarless Jack jumped out and ran right in where a young Woman cleaning the front door glass. She showed me some $25 harnesses I didn't want to spend that much and found Christmas Design harness were 50% off so I bought a high quality made in America harness because all of the young Woman at Pets Plus are professional helpful and smart. In ten minutes Pets Plus sold me a harness and put it on Jack. You get what you pay for here if it's price is high the quality is highest. I have been a customer of Pet's Plus for years. I purchased a fish tank from them a year or so ago and it was a unusual tank. The led lights went out which is a one piece "unit" for the lights, filter and small circular water reservoir. I contacted them in at the beginning of July to see how I could get a replacement. They told me that they would need to contact a representative from the manufacture and would get in touch with me. They were great on communication and told me they were at the mercy of the rep to get back with them as the "unit" had to be purchased direct from them it could not be found online. I received a call mid August 5 weeks after this process began to let me know that the "unit" was at the store for pick up. I was a little surprised when they told me it was at the store for pickup as I had asked for a price prior to ordering it. After I expressed that, I was told very politely that there was no charge. Shocked I asked no charge may I ask why? She proceeded to tell me that I had waited for so long that they decided to comp me for the unit. When I went to pick it up the owner herself came over to me and thanked me for being so patient and they appreciate my long standing business with them.
