I would advise that adoptors tell the ARF organization to order pain meds for spay and neuter…read moreaftercare. Pay for them in addition to the adoption fee. Our little dog didn't receive any pain medication after her spay and we were not aware until we read her medical record. Nor were we offered the option. She is well, and adjusting to life after the puppy mill, slowly. These adult dogs have to be led along with baby steps. Join a puppy mill survivors group. The dogs lives are worth it.

THIS PLACE IS A PUPPY MILL! ARF purchases puppies illegally. They purchase from puppy mills all…read moreover the US including Michigan, Ohio, and Kentucky. in 2017 they spent over $30,000 on puppies alone. COUNTLESS people have come forward proving, with vet records, that ARF sold them a sick animal, refused to help with the bills, and denied any wrongdoing. ARF does not vaccinate their animals properly, or regularly. The animals do NOT see a vet upon their arrival. Sick animals are NOT quarantined. Cats are put in wire bottom cages that are incredibly dangerous and uncomfortable for the cats. Puppies are put in filthy plexiglass boxes, even when they are too tall. On many occasions I have seen the dogs head scraping the top of the plexiglass container. The adult dogs are in indoor/outdoor kennels (in a shed) 24/7 without temperature control. In the winter, they freeze, and in the summer, it is so hot and humid that they are not allowed to go on walks (the owners believe the dogs will faint.) They feed the animals table syrup to mask the symptoms of kennel cough. Many animals have been at the shelter for more than 4 years. The adult dogs at the shelter are part of their puppy-selling-business, they are simply the "last puppy that never got adopted." After being at the shelter for so long, many dogs now have aggression, anxiety, and are unsocialized. These animals are being neglected, ANYONE can see that. The funds from both adoptions AND their bingo operation are not properly filtered back into their rescue.

The staff at ATFPC is always very welcoming, and helpful, and my dog is always excited to be there. For anyone considering doggy daycare, my dog ALWAYS comes home from ARFPC exhausted since he's been playing all day long (they play from the time your dog arrives until 4pm) and I know they take the necessary steps to ensure all of the dog's safety. Go check out ATFPC, I promise you won't be disappointed and your pet will thank you!!

There is ample parking out front or on the side of the building. They are currently offering curbside if you'd like to stay in your car. I'm not sure anyone here would know what I'm talking about, but walking in instantly reminded me of the Agway stores in the Northeast. There is so much here. Having frequented many pet stores over the years, if this was closer to my house it would be a go -to. The inside isn't fancy, its no frills, but the staff is so nice and knowledgeable, the selection is great, and the prices are good too! Right when you walk in there is an aisle full of pet lover stuff for the owners, including shirts, posters and keychains. They have a huge selection of high quality dog foods, and even bigger selection of dog treats, tons of toys (including some unique that I've never seen), beds, leashes and more. They offer boarding, daycare, and training classes in an area behind the retail store. While I was there several people were picking up their pets. There is even some farm type items like local honey and jams. Support local and check this place out!

Completely disappointed and angry with how they have changed their Baker's Dozen Rewards Program…read more Instead of rewarding you your "free" bag of pet food immediately, you now have to wait a month or more for it to show up in the mail, on a flyer, so anyone can steal it. When I spoke with someone at the store, they said that once a month, corporate mails out all the rewards they have for that month. Really? Then, you get an email that says "Your free bag is on the way"! (Well, not really on the way because you're given a window of 30 days for it to arrive) 30 days for something to be mailed by a company with 32 locations in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana? When we contacted "corporate" to let them know we hadn't received our certificate, they said they'd send out another free certificate right away. One week later, when we called to find out why we still hadn't received our certificate, we were told they can't just send out another one, as the company they are using can't print out just one certificate at a time, we'd have to wait another month for the next batch of certificates to be printed and mailed. Our expected delivery date: April 13th. Logged onto the system last night and now it's April 24th for the dog food, May 2nd for the cat food. To make it even more confusing, if you buy a large bag for a the price of a small bag, you get credited only for the small bag in your Baker's Dozen Account. So after a while you'll have credit for some small bags, some large bags, and you're that much further away from getting to your 13th free bag. So even though I bought large bags of cat food at a discounted price, I'm only going to be credited for 1 small free bag of cat food. I've talked with other friends who shop there and are having the same exact problem. Sorry Jack's...whoever sold you on the idea of making your customers wait more than a month to receive something "free" based on being diligent, dedicated customers, probably has cost you those same diligent, dedicated customers. Can't you just email a certificate?
