Pros: Pleasant staff and well stocked. Cons: Constantly had to ask for help because of items not having prices on them. Spent a lot less today because of frustration. read more

I go to Tractor Supply a couple times a month to buy dog food and toys. Their prices and selection rival other big box stores in town. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The store is organized so locating product is a snap. Checkout can be slow since they usually only have one register open, but there are interesting things to look at while waiting in line, so it's not too bad. And I am always asked if I need help loading my giant bags of dog food - I think that's sweet of them to offer to help a lady. read more

I purchased a 4 cycle gas engine weed eater for our church a year ago. The Weedeater has a three year warranty. After one year I was told by employees at the store that I needed to take it to an authorized service center to have it serviced but they did not know who they were. I called the company and took Weedeater to the service center in Amarillo. After two months I received a call from the service center stating because the filter housing was broken and dust entered the engine, The warranty is voided and I would have to pay to get it fixed. I have purchased numerous weed eaters from Sears and they always honour their warranty. I will never buy a weed eater from this place again. read more

I'm the type that likes to walk around the store and look at everything before I start asking questions so they were nice enough to ask me a couple times if I needed any help but never with any pressure so that I was able to relax and walk around. Sometimes I find things that I never would have seen if I had had a clerk lead me to directly to the item I started out looking for. Like today, I happened to see the white china pencils and remembered that I had wanted to buy one of those. They're only a dollar fifty but I just never happened on to one before and it wasn't a big enough deal to go looking for it. On the way out one of the clerks showed me a black marking pen that was better than a Sharpie for about the same price and he said it writes on anything even if it's wet or oily. That sounded great so I bought one. Maybe I'll even try it for my rock painting that I've just gotten into recently for filling in details. I don't know the price of a lot of things but on the things that I do know the price of I felt like their prices were a little higher than I might pay at other stores but that's usually to be expected from a smaller business versus the box stores. You also can't find a clerk to help you in a big box store like you can in this store. When I finally was ready to get help the young man took me straight to the section where the product would be. I wasn't quite ready to buy yet but I appreciated knowing that they had it and where to find it. I have shopped at Ace Hardware stores in other towns and found good service there too. This one ranks right up with the best of them. And they didn't make me feel like I was a waste of their time just because I was only buying a little bit. You never know when that person that only spends $3 might come back and spend $100 at another time when they need something and remember the good service.

A manager saw me and found one for me to use, even talked to my daughter getting her to smile as she helped me find the rest of what i needed. These guys are great. I have been in A LOT lately with all the spring projects going on, and my wife trying to get me to start a business that requires a lot of tools, and these folks are always helpful and going above and beyond. My Dad and I even got my brother convinced on their tools when he wouldn't buy anything but the biggest name brands. That's fine, and they may last a little while longer, but why when they are 3-4 times the price? Now, i haven't had a Harbor Freight tool go down on me but once, and they stood behind it and replaced it no questions and no charge! (Torque wrench). They had their Tent Sale a few weeks ago, and open box items were HEAVILY discounted, and only had a 5 day return policy, i haven't needed it. Those tools were just as good as brand new. I've actually built a shoe rack in my master closet and i am over halfway done with an 8' farmhouse dining room table and no issues. They have seen fairly heavy use over that time and I've had no issues whatsoever. But, if i ever do, i could buy 3 or 4 at the cost of the bigger guys! I can't say enough good things about this store, or Harbor Freight tools. They just are the best.

Darn it! And the price was good too. This means I have to go elsewhere since I need this product tonight. A quick browse as I exit from the Garden Center. They had a nice variety of plants, houseplants and the garden variety. Also a well displayed assortment of fences that I've not seen at any other Home Depot caught my eye. Had to take a pic so I could have something for reference when I consider ordering from one of my stores in AZ.

I was shocked when I stepped foot in this place. It's out in the countryside south of Amarillo, not…read moreon a major road or visible from the highway, yet it was huge and gorgeous inside! We were first attracted to the glazed pots outside because they had such a nice collection of colors. Then we walked into the greenhouse and were greeted with the heavenly fragrance of petunias from the many hanging baskets above the rows of plants. It's one of those nurseries where you can find just about any kind of plant you've been looking for. All of the plants are beautiful specimens in tip-top condition. The greenhouse adjoins another greenhouse that is decked out with very luxurious patio furniture and decor and is followed by more rows of plants to the right and the main store entrance to the left. It's absolutely gorgeous in there! We sort of explored this business in a round about way, but eventually made it to the front section of the store which is a large room nicely decorated with antiques, collectibles, and melamine dishes... all for sale! This place is pricey, I would say twice the price of what you'd pay for a comparable product elsewhere, but it was such an unexpected gem we ran across while cruising the countryside that I think it's something everyone should explore when in the area. You will be delighted.

It seemed like the inside was her realm while the husband told us that the rock gardens surrounding the business were all his. The selection is truly amazing and I found both cacti specimens that I had been searching for (and then some). This will be a stop for us whenever we are in these here parts again. I found succulents here that I've never seen anywhere, including at nurseries in southern California that I visit twice yearly. One in particular, Chinese dunce cap, I've been hunting for for two years during my travels and have finally found it here, in Amarillo, Texas of all places! I have had the opportunity to buy it online, but I prefer to buy in person from quality nurseries. They have helpful photos with descriptions and directions for care posted above most of the plants. As we walked through the succulent greenhouse Tracy walked along with us offering helpful advice and taking our picks to the counter so we didn't have to carry them around. Afterward we went to the outdoor/perennial area where we were met by Val and she graciously offered us a guided tour through their lovely rock/cactus garden pointing out plants that are hardy for our growing zone. We had a wonderful time and will definitely go back every time we visit Amarillo!
