Thought I needed a new tire because I had one going flat rather quickly after airing up. Spoke with the owner and even agreed to buy 2 tires if needed. They looked at all my tires and told me the tread and rubber looked solid on all of them and patched up my tire that had 2 screws in it and insisted on not charging me! These guys are always my first choice for tires and I can't say enough nice things about them. Great people. read more

Traction Plus Discount Tires - New tires. Long over due. - Tires Near Me - Ronkonkoma, New York

I have nothing but good things to say about this business. They have been around forever and it's obviously because they know what they're doing and have great customer service skills (which goes a long way in today's society). Jonathan is kind on the phone and in his office. He is knowledgeable and was patient with my questions about needing new tires. The guys plugging tires in the back are gentle with your car and quick! I've had to use them for this many times and each time a different gentleman plugged the tire and they are still holding. Then they fill the rest of your tires to the appropriate matching pressure. $15 for a plug and I tip the guy who helps me. The only negative thing I'd mention is the driveway getting into the back of the building. It is only wide enough for one car so be careful going in and coming out, as the traffic goes both ways. Not a reflection on the business, just a mention. Thank you guys for the smiles and customer service...It's MATTERS! read more

Always great service if I'm getting new tires or fixing a flat they are always fast and friendly

Was visiting family on Long Island from the other side of the country and was dealing with a tire leaking air. After inspection, I noticed that the problem was not the tire, but a crack in the rim. On a Google search, I contacted Traction Plus as one of the closest shops that could handle the problem. After calling, they said that if I could get the tire to them by noon, they would have it repaired by the end of the day as they would have to send it out. Not only did they have the time back by the end of the day, they had the tire remounted, balanced, aired up and waiting. In the time it took me to pay the bill (a couple of minutes), they took my spare off, mounted the repaired tire, and secured the spare back underneath the car in its usual position. The repair was a very fair price (less than I had expected prior to calling). The crew working there was professional and friendly. I will absolutely go there again if I have any other issues when I am on the Island. Thanks a ton guys! read more

Friendly, professional, very reasonably priced, and quick. I went in to have a flat plugged & changed on a weekday morning, and it was done within 30 minutes. Definitely recommend! read more

Best service I have received in a long while. I used to work in vehicle service and I truly felt take care for. I called in for snow tires and the team provided me recommendations to stay within my budget. I planned to toss all four tires and the tech proactively recommended to keep the 1 tire that was still in good shape. Will absolutely be back for my all seasons. read more

Excuse me for not writing this review until now. My family and friends ( recommended many) have been going to Traction Plus Discount Tires for years. 5 stars plus all the way! Bob, his family and staff are not only knowledgeable, professional and accommodating but they are also some of the nicest people we know. They go above and beyond to help their customers. On several occasions we have needed a quick tire repair or an emergency tire replacement and have never been disappointed. Everyone is honest and sincerely cares about your safety. Impeccable trustworthy customer service. I can go on and on but just trust me you will be 100 % satisfied. Pricing is resonable and they will never sell you something you do not need. They are conveniently located in the heart of town surrounded by coffee and sandwich and fast food shops if there is a wait. Chances are there will be a reasonable wait due to there popularity. Highly recommend and will continue to return for many years to come!!! read more

Excellent service at reasonable price. Had tires installed at traction plus and had a tire pressure sensor replaced at same time. These guys know what they are doing. They work like a machine with two guys removing tires, one guy balancing and two more guys reinstalling the tires. After the new tires were put back in the car, they checked that the air pressure was set properly and also torqued the wheels with a torque wrench. I was very happy with their work and highly recommend this business read more

The highest levels of customer service I have experienced in a very long time. Such a nice surprise for a change! Bob was very helpful and answered all my questions concerning my new tires. This place is awesome, great customer service and they really know their stuff. The attention to details was impressive, highly recommended! Thank you so much! read more

Fast service. Great prices. Hidden Gem (literally!) I went to them for a complete set of Cooper tires. The price was cheaper than Mavis, Walmart or Costco! And flipppty, falppity floop I was on my way! read more

I've been going to Traction Plus for years as have so many other people I know and the reason is the owner Bob and his wife and all the employees. Everyone there is so kind and helpful. I took my car there today thinking there was an issue with my tires. Bob test drove my car with me and reassured me that tires and rims were safe and not in need of repair or replacement. Not easy to find an honest business like Traction Plus! read more

What a great family run shop. Extremely helpful both husband and wife. My tires were thoroughly checked and the man was very honest which is the first thing I look for when I get anything done that has to do with my car. I knew the answers before I asked them to make sure I wasn't getting swindled and he passed with flying colors. I got a great deal on the most highly rated tires for my car. They even have a book where you can look at the ratings for most tires they carry. I was very happy to finally graduate from cheap Chinese tires to American made greatness. Thank you guys for all the help at FANTASTIC prices. Will return for all my family's vehicles. read more

I just came back from Traction Plus and I have always had an amazing experience including today!! Today is Black Friday and I expected them to be closed. They weren't!! They took my car right away, courteous and professional.. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Just bought brand new tires for my car and I kept hearing a thumping noise. After visiting the location that installed those tires three times and kept getting turned away over and over again with them saying "it's normal", I decided to get a second opinion. Went to Traction Plus and Jonathan was amazing. He test drove my car and then figured out the issue within 10 minutes of looking at my tires. 3 out of 4 brand new tires had a bald spot which caused a dip in the middle of my tire, that's what was making the noise as I drove. The original shop couldn't figure that out in the 3+ hours I spent there asking them to look at it again but Jonathan figured it out in 10 minutes. This will be my new tire shop location!! Cannot recommend this place enough, thank you Jonathan! read more

Super happy I went here. Called ahead of time asked for an approximation to have a tire replaced. They didn't mind or give me a hard time that I got there within closing. When I paid they remembered me from my call which was first thing in the morning. They were very personable quick and inexpensive. The lobby is also family oriented despite being smaller. There was a minions coloring book for kids and tons of magazines. The inside office was a lot of blown up family pictures. This was a very nice business. read more

Great local tire business! Like others I've bought my tires online and had them shipped here for installation. They might charge a little bit more than the big chain stores but I decided to go with them because of the glowing reviews and didn't want to risk anything when it comes to the tires. Came here on a Tuesday morning and was in and out in about 30-35 minutes. Very through and meticulous work done by John and his crew. John was very friendly and courteous definitely the model definition of a great local business. Waiting area is a bit sparse but plenty of coffee shops and fast food areas nearby for you to wait while they work on the car. Definitely a great location and highly recommended for your tire needs read more

5 stars across the board!! Who says good customer service doesn't exist anymore? The experience I had definitely had me inclined to write a review to boost this place. So for the automotive-lexic people out there like me Traction Plus will fill you in on any and everything that you'll need to know to equip your ride. They are super knowledgeable about every single detail and just the vibe from the very first phone call made me feel at ease and definitely weren't trying to take me for a ride (excuse the corny pun) My rear tires on my early model Benz was completely shot, bald, and needed to be fixed ASAP. I was desperately searching for a tire place on yelp and happened to find them. As soon as I called I spoke to Karen; super sweet lady btw (I'm assuming one of the owners) explained the situation and she provided with the many different makes and brands that they were able to put on my whip with all the different prices from lowest to highest with their ratings to boot. Her giving me options and not spewing out the most expensive brand to put on it, I could tell this was and honest place and have respect for their customers. She put in an order for my tires and when they came I was in and out of Traction Plus tires in under an hour, turns out as I'm writing this one of the guys called me over and let me know I had a dent in one of my rims and showed me. He was just letting me know and said "you may not need it fixed" but wanted to inform me. Yea I just wrote a college essay for a tire place lol that should speak for itself read more

I can't say enough about these guys. I needed four new tires put on and could only get to the shop after closing hours. Not only we're they accommodating for the time, they gave me a great price and also had one of my wheels repaired at a discounted rate. I don't even live near them, but they're the only people I'll go to for tires. read more

Excellent help from owner Karen and daughter Taylor. Karen went above and beyond to help when I had gotten a flat tire at Kohl's. To make a long story short, I was unable to have them do the actual work because the car had to be towed to the Alfa Romero dealership in Patchogue. BUT she was willinging to quote the price of her tire and the dealership matched the price. I will be changing the other 3 tires in the fall and I will absolutely give her the business. Thank you Karen read more

Driving down New York roads I hit a pothole. Of course it's 4 o'clock and almost every place is closed. I called four places , checked around prices and brand of tires. Traction plus were the cheapest tires, and the fact they got me in 30 minutes before they closed I couldn't be more appreciative! They definitely care about their customers, and will get you in! read more

I went to the shop yesterday and met with Tommy I let him know the tires I was interested in. He took the time to research the best price with me, and he needed to order them and told me they would be in the next day. Great staff - knowledgeable, professional and cautious with the Fuchs aluminum alloys on my vintage '86 Carerra. TireRack shipped in one day and they installed the next. They noted the minor scratches on the wheels before starting - even torqued the lug nuts to Porsche specs - seamless installation with Hunter Road Force balancing - in a little over an hour. I would recommend to anyone looking for quality installation - these guys care. read more

My family has been going to Traction Plus since the 90's for all of out tire needs. From plugs, to used tires, to new tires, they've taken care of us. Their prices can't be beat and the service is top notch. You see the same guys working there year after year, not some fly by night ghetto greasemonkies. read more

To put it simply, fantastic service and great prices. I recently bought down my 1997 Mustang to get brand new tires. They were able to get a full set the next day. They got me in and out within 40 minutes. I could not be happier. I highly highly recommend this business. read more

What an awesome place to deal with. These guys are honest and so friendly and the prices are very fair. I came here with my 35" tires and 17" wheels for them to mount. They were super careful with my brand new wheels and tires and mounted them beautifully for me. They had to do a bunch of extra work by switching out my TPMS sensors from my old wheels to my new ones and they still kept the price super fair. They were really helpful loading all my tires back in my truck since they were way too heavy for me to even think about picking up. I will continue to use this place for all my future tire needs! It's also right down the block from me so the convenience is awesome as well! read more
