I'm meet with a group of classmates very other month at the Trackside. We graduated from Waverly High School in 1969 long before there was a restaurant in Waverly. We enjoy our every month luncheons and the Trackside accommodates our big group very well. The food is good and reasonably priced. I think we'll continue going there until none of us are left. Most of us are 75! We're sure not spring chickens. I especially love the Trackside's chicken pot pie. The top crust is yummy!! read more

Only on Thursdays can you not pay for a salad bar to go. 1 lady that is absolutely rude as Hell will lie and say they have never done that. Well only when she works they don't. Horrible service and horrible food. The waitresses working didn't care to serve us had to get our own menus and ask the bartender to take our order. Twenty minutes after we ordered and 45 minutes of being there the waitress finally decided to take our order. Everyone's food came but mine and had to ask where my food was 20min after everyone else's food arrived. When she brought my pizza out you could tell it had been sitting there for awhile ice cold and soggy. We will never eat at trackside again! Every staff member was sitting there doing absolutely nothing. They must have been offended by me taking action when are getting no service. Do better Trackside!! read more

Stopped in for breakfast, was not busy at all. 3 servers and it took 15 minutes to be acknowledged, another 15 minutes for menus... didn't bother asking us for drink order or even bring water. Said she would be right back. It was another 20 minutes to come back and take our drink and food order. It was another ten minutes before SOME of the drinks arrived. Food came out right away within minutes of our drinks. Food was excellent- 4 stars. 0 for service. Didn't even bring butter, syrup, jelly after asking multiple times and had to and go to an empty table and take it ourselves. Jelly little was empty, said she'd bring another. Never did. Had to go and ask for our tickets so we could leave. That took another 20 minutes. Do not go here unless you have hours to wait. Wait staff did NOT care and were completely incompetent. read more

We stop Saturday afternoon to check out the new menu items and have the say they are really good! I got the trackside burger with American cheese, pickles, tomato and fries and Kim got the Cajun burger with chipotle mayo and jalapeño peppers plus the fries. The food was okay...nothing special, but the service was terrible. The waitress was combative with us when we asked were our salad dressing was or the dinks we ordered. At the end of the experience, she started yelling at us and telling us "just leave" and "bye". We were not being rude at all with her either. It was unprovoked. She had an attitude over very simple questions. We were not being difficult, just asked simple questions of "can you bring us ranch, please?" and "I'll take another beer please". Hard to believe that someone like this is in the service industry. Also, the salad bar was bare and didn't even have lettuce in it. We waited 30 minutes at least for them to bring lettuce out and by that time, everyone in our group was finished eating. I will never come back here. read more

The Keno writer is completely rude. She needs to find another line of work. Waverly Keno cannot compete with Big Red Keno and they should be happy to make it a much more pleasant experience and attract more players than this employee does. Big Red Keno doesn't require players to write out a ticket and their keno writers aren't rude when you try to verbally tell them your numbers, as this rude woman does. Skip this place then drink, eat, and play at any of the many more pleasant places that feature Big Red Keno. read more

We tried this out today, after seeing it recommended in other place. My French dip sandwich and onion chips were great (I'd give them 5 stars)! The salad bar was good, but the lettuce was starting to look a bit aged. My husband had the Sunday fried chicken special. It was burnt. The green beans were tough. We complained about the burnt chicken, and the kitchen responded there was nothing wrong with it, that was just how it was supposed to be. The meat was tender and flavorful, but the coating left a bad aftertaste, making it a 0 stars item. The service was good, even if it was a bit slow (understaffed). The waitress seemed apologetic, but nothing was done. We likely won't be back. read more

My birthday was this Friday. To celebrate, my family and I decided to go out for lunch Saturday. The restaurant we first wanted to go to was closed, so we decided to try out another recommended restaurant. We were very impressed by the high-quality food and the efficient, friendly, and welcoming service by Corie. The cost for everything was reasonable as well. Our waitress, Corie, was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. All of the food was fresh and tasty. The hamburger was juicy and tender, and tasted like it had come straight from the grill. The hamburger buns were soft. The garlic parmesan wings were a large portion, and the garlic parmesan rub was very flavorful. Our experience trying Trackside Bar and Grill for the first time was outstanding. We highly recommend others to try this amazing restaurant. read more

For the past three years the Trackside Bar (TB) has become a staging area for a 3/7 WPNS CO. DRAGONS PLT reunion. Weary Marines traveling by plane, motorcycle and other means come here to collect their bearings after many miles traveled. Waverly.....Nebraska....since we first met, I look forward to my annual visit. TB, you are representation of the casual vibe I have come to enjoy when visiting the Cornhusker state. The beer is cold. The service is friendly. The food is tasty. The keno is.....challenging. Takes a long time to find someone to take your order. My husband is severely handicapped and yall do not have handicapped parking stalls close by. The food here is really good, that is if you can get the waitress that is running around like a crazy woman on crack (Laurie) to pay any attention to you. When my friend and I finally got a menu, we were only given 1. It then took her forever to take our drink order, then about the same amount of time to get our drinks. You would think she would have taken our order, but no, just plopped them down rudely and ran away. When she FINALLY took our order she complained extensively about another table before she asked what we wanted. The food took at least half an hour to get to the table, so my friend needed a refil of water. She had to ask 3 times to get anything, and finally got the bus boy (who was very sweet and helpful) to get it for her. About 10 minutes later the waitress slammed a glass of water on the table and ran away. My friend ordered a burger, and when it came out, it was still pink in the middle. I ordered all you can eat fish. It was like pulling teeth to get more, but the table next to us, who knew her, got a refill without even asking. She was overly rude to any table she wasn't friends with. I understand fish night during lent is super busy, but there is no excuse for this treatment! read more

It's a Keno Bar where you seat yourself so don't go in expecting a fine dining experience. That being said, they do have a pretty good menu and I've never been disappointed with their food or service. Plus, they're smoke free now so you can enjoy your dinner and play some keno without worrying about that pesky second-hand smoke! We went last Friday and I had their grilled chicken sandwich with some fries and an iced tea. The chicken was seasoned and grilled perfectly and the fries were just like I like them (crinkle-cuts!) and my iced tea was refilled before I was finished with the first glass! All in all, it was a good dining experience and now that they're smoke free, we'll be back more often! read more

Service went down the drain. Walked in, sat down and waited, and waited, and waited yet some more. Decided to play three games of keno while we waited. Not once did anybody come to our table to get us drinks or menu's or appetizers. We were looked at by several people of the wait staff but would not stop, they just walked on by like we weren't there. After 20 minutes of patiently waiting, waitress FINALLY came to our table to get us drinks. I informed her that we were leaving right after the last game of keno, which the numbers were being called at the time, so not to bother. She responded that I didn't have to be so rude about it. WOW WTF! I thought wait staff was to 'wait' on customers, NOT ignore them. Great place to stop just north of Lincoln off of I-80. Great service for a group of 8. The prime rib special on Saturday night was good. The TJ Hell burger was good and spicy. Great crispy fries. The chicken wrap and Philly cheesesteak hit the spot. Try the Chicken Fried Steak. It was great. If there was a negative star, I would pick that... I work for a major employer in the Waverly area. I ordered 215.00 of pizza 2 days ago, for pick up today. Placed my order with Tammy. :30 prior to pick up time, with 30 people waiting, on the clock, they called to verify it for tomorrow! Um...no, today. The bar maid who called told me how wrong I was and completely spoke over me when I asked to speak with a manager. No manager was on duty. I believe her name was Jessica. I left to pick up my order as they now had to 'bust their asses' for me. Did not offer a discount, so I asked if they would. Nope, nothing they can do. That will be the last time this major Waverly employer will drop $ in this local bar. 215.00 of pizza, and no offer to make it right. Shame on you Trackside Lounge... read more
