Their burgers and Philly steak sandwiches are outright some of the best I have had. The burger was double patty and it wasn't a thin lifeless burger patty but a thick, juicy and well spiced burger. It was topped with melted cheese and jalapeños... delicious. The Philly steak sandwich was perfectly spiced, tangy and gooey cheese and steak. Wow. The kids enjoyed their chicken fingers and kids burgers, as well as the fries. These folks know how to cook. Definitely worth bringing to your next party.

But the stellar online…read morereviews drew me far outside my Nashville bubble to this little food truck behind a tiny house with a covered dining area. The charm was immediately evident. And kudos to Juanita's for serving very fresh food, having quite an extensive menu, and keeping long hours while most restaurants out in the country close early. The tortillas must be homemade, because they are a thing of beauty! The pollo and asada tacos are okay, not great. But the carnitas tacos are astoundingly good! Pulled pork and little bits of tasty pork fat emerge amidst the fresh cilantro and onions! Juanita's is a worthy pilgrimage and a stunning hidden gem! They even have an outdoor sink to wash your hands after chowing down on their delicious food! That might have been my favorite surprise!

The gentleman serving was very kind and friendly. My dinner was pretty much on his hands since I asked for his recommendations. I got myself a meal of fried catfish, a must try item, and 6-pc fried shrimp. The meal came with seasoned rice, coleslaw, and a side which I chose to be hush puppies. The wait for all these couldn't be more than 15 minutes, since it takes 9.5 min to fry the catfish. The catfish was so soft and melted in your mouth, the shrimps were plump and juicy. I was given spicy coleslaw which is interesting and delicious. All that with the seasoned rice, chefs kiss! For dessert, I highly highly highly recommend the keylime pie. As an avid tart lover, this pie hits home. I'd come back just for this pie. Oh and a piece of the catfish is enough for one person, it's a decent size, tho they do offer a meal of 1-3 pieces, so order accordingly :)

The offerings indicated someone who cooked using a bit of flair and looked like they knew how to enhance a dish with sauces. I selected the Rosemary Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. Now these are not like any quesadilla I've had as a "appetizer" at many restaurants, this was a creative melding of intricate flavors into a quasi-soft shell taco/quesadilla. The grilled chicken had great flavor and the bacon and ranch really complemented the quesadilla. The tortilla was perfect, slightly crisp, and held the entire quesadilla together and didn't fall apart after the first bite. To top it all off...I got to meet the owners/operators Frankie and Tony Wong. This couple works hard, serve up great food, and are really fun to talk to. The TRIPLE LAYER TOMATO AND BASIL GRILLED CHEESE ON SOURDOUGH was delish! Soft, with a crunchy outside and surprisingly not too much bread. A good amount of cheese and flavor. I'd definitely recommend. CRINKLE CUT FRIES were over cooked. I'm sad to say I didn't even finish them, which is rare for me since this cut of fries is my absolute favorite! Just too crunch and the flavor was heavy on the oil, rather than potato. Total cost was $9 before tip, which made it one of the least expensive items on the truck. Customer service was professional. Food was made quickly and from order. Pretty good, IMO.
