I had only visited outside market events Black Friday held in the past. I felt at home. Great finds here. I purchased a natural hair soothing edge gel (by Clara Bea Essentials) and a Green Apatite Gemstone Bracelet for Self-Care and Healing. The Clara Bea Essentials soothing edge gel is top tier. There is only one edge control I prefer, and now I'm adding Clara Bea to my go-to. Great product. The bracelet is absolutely beautiful, with a peaceful and relaxing balance when worn.

I had been following all the street fairs on Instagram and dropped in today to check out some clearance items. I purchased a homemade candle by Scents of Overflow and a cute mug. I love the women who work here and all their positive energy. This store is home to so much of our culture and history. The art work is beautiful, the vendors pour their hearts and souls into the merchandise and I love being able to spread wealth amongst my own people. I hope they are here to stay. My friend bought trendy sunglasses, vaginal steam herbs, Greek paraphernalia. I even scored a free pecan brownie today with my purchase. They sell herbs, seasonings, snacks, juices, clothing, jewelry. If you make it and it's black owned they sell it ! I love that this is home to so many talented black vendors. I can't wait to return for some cool t-shirts and other finds.

I asked what happened. He told me an unleashed aggressive dog was standing directly inside the entrance and loudly snarled and growled at him as he tried to enter the store. The female owner of the dog&store told him the dog was a "rescue" and that it didn't take a liking to men. I have documented allergies to dogs and also fear them for their unpredictable nature as what happened when he casually walked into the store. It's a shame because he probably would have bought me something warm to wear if the dog had not been there growling at him. Also, I only buy second hand from smoke&pet free homes/stores. *Message to management: I've never owned a clothing store, but I've worked at one. It's very important for customers to feel safe and welcomed when trying on clothes and window shopping. In what world is it considered civilized to have an unleashed, untrained and aggressive dog positioned at the head of the store? You are actively discriminating against men shopping at your store by bringing this dog to work. Men like to surprise their girlfriend or wife or mother with something nice to wear from time to time. If you don't have liability insurance for potential dog bites when a man enters your store it might be time to get some. Or, better yet, just install a modern security system and leave your aggressive dog at home or bring it to a shelter. You will be doing the city of Raleigh and it's citizens a favor.

If you have chronic pain from injuries, this review is for you…read more Transformative. I had come to Fleet Feet with my friend, who needed running shoes and also wanted support. I came and tried the analysis out of curiosity, and wanted to see for myself what the process was-- I was not very hopeful because I was worried that maybe that it was a gimmick used to sell shoes, and was convinced that with my niche needs (long history of injuries to multiple joints, instability of said joints, and the chronic pain associated with old injuries) that there would simply not be a shoe to be found for me. I was wrong. I was pleasantly shocked and surprised by just how in-depth the analysis and consultation was. I was even more amazed by the care, patience, and consideration taken into the recommended selection of shoes to try, with explanations WHY the recommendations were made. Even more happy that there were shoes my size to even try on (10-11s women'), and there were insoles selected to further customize things to my specific needs. I'll be honest, I wasn't even looking to buy shoes for myself today, but to just be a support to my friend. But the wonderful experience with Jeff talked the talk, and the shoes he selected walked the WALK. I never once felt rushed despite the busy store, I was able to really feel out and talk about what I liked and didn't like, which was received by Jeff with understanding and discernment. What truly convinced me was the IMMEDIATE and noticeable relief I felt in my ankles and knees, and what was initially pessimistic hopelessness for my case turned into something I never thought I'd feel-- hope and excitement. I'm excited to see how these shoes might even benefit my bad SI joint with time, which is constantly inflamed and in pain from the stress of working and walking every day. This is the first time I've ever invested in a more costly pair of shoes, but it's the first pair of shoes I've ever bought KNOWING that I'd at least get SOME relief from my chronic pain, and even would aid in preventing further injuries in the future with the stability they provide. Huge shout out to Jeff for being so knowledgeable and kind, he really took the experience to the next level and gave assurance to any questions or concerns I had. Thank you!!!
