On January 30, 2021 my party ( a table which consisted of 3 woman) and I had the worst experience EVER!! Aside from being harassed by a man sitting over at the next table. One of the bartenders (steff) rudely and aggressively asked us to pick up our tab and leave. She did that shortly after I approached the woman whose man was harassing us. Unfortunately, we had to pass by his table on our way to the bathroom. You could only imagine how uncomfortable that was for us. My entire table had a horrible experience with this man. Between the pss, come hear while in the bathroom, occasional winks. Maybe the couple were swingers. We definitely weren't interested. After speaking to the woman who was accompanied by this man, she headed to the bar to pay her tab( so it appeared) steff then came to our table indicating she had kicked the couple out. Which wasn't the case. She also stated that she thought the woman at this other table look like she was going to punch me in my face when I approached her. Take in mind that prior to approaching the woman my cousin expressed to the staff(steff) that she was uncomfortable. Rachel who was the other bartender was also being harassed by this man. As she took drinks to their table. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Instead of coming to our table and asking if we were okay, steff wanted to take credit she didn't earn. Only go here if you want the most uncomfortable night of your life. So many things wrong with this place that it inspired me to literally write my first ever review because I feel like people need to know what's going on. 1) The staff at this bar is extremely confrontational. They walk around with this superiority complex where they condescend all of the customers and restrict what you can do. The staff is also extremely aggressive and is quick to threaten customers. This happened to my party and from reading other reviews it seems like this is a theme of this place. 2) I was also extremely uncomfortable by the staff here in general, especially the males who work the door and walk around the place. The vibes here are extremely off and it doesn't take a genius to sense that something is wrong. 3) It seemed like some of the employees/managers were drunk adding to their hostility and aggressiveness. 4) The hygiene here was also extremely questionable. There were a lot of bugs inside the building and my glass had oily fingerprints all over it when I got it. Lots more to talk about but one thing's for sure: my group and I will not be back here and I highly recommend others from coming as well. read more

I'm not a big yelper but do not support this poorly managed establishment. My friends and I came to visit our friend who was bartending as he just started a few days ago. We witnessed this woman behind the bar getting into it with a customer and yelling and screaming at him and thought OMG she's gonna get fired. A little bit later she started getting into it with my friend. She was berating him in from of ppl which is not ok at all. After it happened my friend grabbed his stuff and quit. So we left immediately too. To make it worse we find out this woman is the GM of the bar who obviously was drunk or coked out of her mind. Now I know why this bar has such a bad reputation and we as industry workers ourselves will be letting our co-workers and friends to avoid this place at all costs. Unfortunately the bouncers here dont seem to respect anyones dignity. They are always aggressive and make passes at girls asses after they walk in. Its degrading to watch and ive seen altercations there that are not reported to police and people being told not to tell them as well shouting at anyone who will listen not to stir up trouble. The service is below par and i say these things because i used to work behind a bar and as a door guy that some of the things that have happened in that place are criminal. Im saying this because i live in the area and im sick of going into the bar and my night being spoiled by bouncers being violent and engaging in brawls instead of stopping them. It is nice that the bar is open late, since I usually don't get out until one or two. Cute girls and a cool place and would have gotten five stars but the bartender was a douche. He had plenty of douche-esque moves and I could even smell the douchery that his hand left on my drink. Think if ryan seacrest shat out a love child he had with the jonas brothers(yes...all three at once). And that baby grew up and became a bartender at Trace. Now you get it and probably have to shower to get that out of your head. I mean we were standing at the bar for a drink and he totally ignored us and got drinks for people DIRECTLY behind us. I would like to give this place 0 stars. There is no other way to describe this place besides down right racist. They have a "no Jordan rule" which is basically another way to say "minimize the amount of black people who attend". There was a white man in line with Jordan socks on and the only reason they didn't let him in was to save face because they were being recorded. There was a white woman who called him out and asked him why he would still want to go inside knowing they represent a discriminatory approach. I have to applaud her. We need more people like her. Do not go to this place. They completely scammed my friend and then tried to intimidate us to get us to leave. Two sketchy ass idiots who "worked" at the bar sat at the front and swiped my friend's card when he put it down to pay for his drinks. When we tried to confront them, one of them left abruptly and the other tried to fight us. Super professional. Then staff got their bouncer after they refused to talk to us about the incident or show us the security footage. It was clear that all of the staff was in on the scam. The staff at trace has a complete disregard for the safety of women and is never an establishment I would step foot in to. The other night, my friend was assaulted by a man on the street in front of trace after having been in that bar- to the point where three of friends around her were forced to intervene while the staff at trace sat idly by. Trace then proceeded to ban my friend from the bar, a victim, as opposed to condoning the behavior of the man assaulting her. Do not recommend this place to any, especially women. read more

I'm giving them zero stars. The bouncers were very unprofessional and wouldn't let us in after we presented various forms of Id because we weren't "composed enough." After this occurrence, the same bouncer then made out with an extremely hurt chick (0 out of 10) that was in line behind us and let her in without even asking for identification. I feel so bad for whoever is in charge of staffing at this bar because they have to have the IQ of a dung beetle. read more

By the time you roll around to this bar, all of the good people in Wrigley have already found someone to go home.Trace is where the leftovers hang out. Bouncer took my friends ID because it was Irish and the told him to he would have to pay 20 dollars to get it back. When we showed him it was real and genuine he said "40 dollars or nothing, fucking try me" bouncer was intimidating and threating would never recommend a worse place to go. Never going here again. The staff treated my friends and I horribly. Would give this place a zero if I could.
