I've used the other main well company here in Boerne, and T R Drilling & Svc LLC has been the best experience I've had. From the very first call, Alyssa made everything easy. She's friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful, which already sets them apart from the other well company in Boerne. Scheduling was simple, and when their technicians came out to install a new control box on my well. They knew the equipment inside and out and took the time to give me their opinion on what I should do and they did not try to over charge me with equipment I dont need. I also had a completely separate issue come up later on, and this is where they really earned my loyalty. Alyssa had one of their technicians, Nacho, call me directly, and this guy is outstanding. He didn't rush me, didn't make me feel like I was bothering him, and walked me through the whole thing step-by-step over the phone. The patience, the know-how, and the willingness to help without immediately sending a truck out... that's rare these days. Nacho deserves real credit. Seems like a lot of turnover in their repair crews after talking with other neighbors. Seems to have fallen off in quality. Will just keep replacing expensive hardware until eventually they locate the problem. Charged me almost 2 k for an allegedly faulty pressure tank , when still wasn't working correctly a week later had to replace the pump (another 3k) , had also replaced that pump less than 2 years prior, when I questioned why I paid for the incorrectly identified pressure tank?...........crickets. This is the second time I've worked with TR Drilling and they never cease to amaze me when it comes to customer service. First off, if anyone owns a business, they need to have Mary at TRDrilling train their customer service people to show them what the original concept of "Customer service" actually means: OLD SCHOOL. Mary should write a book. She is absolutely fabulous: She's in charge, confident, polite, efficient, she knows what she's talking about and she's all about business like Texas is about Barbecue. I own a 2nd property in Boerne. On this engagement, we had our 11 year old pump go out. Without out it the house was basically out of water, even gravity feed didn't seem to suffice. I had Mary on the line and they were out to the house within the hour. She put me in touch with David, the Technician, and he handled all my questions. David showed up, on time, and was in that pumphouse within minutes, with the old pump pulled out. He had the new pump installed and working within the hour. FANTASTIC. My house was back online in literally less than 1 hour. TRDrilling and their staff were informative, professional, on time and ready to get it done. I'm a very happy customer. Despite over 20 years of relying on TR Drilling to service my well, having spent over 5 figures replacing pumps and wiring and drilling my well deeper, the first time I asked for some consideration when a 3+ year old pump failed, they refused. The person I spoke with there said they routinely provide 5 year warranties with pumps and would warrant a replacement pump for 5 years (not counting the $2,300.00 I would spend to get that new warranty). When I questioned why I didn't warrant that coverage on my now inoperative pump, I got an "I'm sorry". New pump being installed by a different pump service. Buyer beware. read more

This well drilling firm was engaged by our custom home builder last year. In September 2021 we were presented with a design, and we agreed to that design even though it was some $6k over our budget. The builder asked them several times over the next several months when they would be out to drill the well, and they came up with several excuses. In early April 2022 they contacted the builder and said they could be out the next day; however, the cost of the service would increase by another $5,800. This is nothing short of extortion. We know that demand for this service is high at present, and the costs for everyone are going up, but we feel that this company is taking unfair advantage of the situation. One of our neighbors used them to drill a well two years ago and were charged half of what the company wanted to charge us. Inflation has not increased at a rate of 100% in two years. Avoid this company now because they are taking unfair advantage of potential customers. read more

Today, late August, we had an emergency situation at our ranch in Sisterdale upon learning our well wasn't working and our 6 cows were without water. I called 3 different water well drillers in and around the TX Hill Country. The first one didn't even return my call. The second one actually answered the phone when I called, took some basic info & promised to call me back within an hour, but never did. The second one, TR Drilling & Service, returned my call within about an hour. They gave me a quote within about 3 hours and followed up with me the following day. They met me out at my property the next day to get a look at the lay of the land. I signed a contract to drill the well within a few days. They were actually able to start within just a few days. They did a fantastic job & not only that, they did it for less than the original estimate!!! I would highly recommend the TR Drilling team for any drilling in the TX Hill Country.
