My fault for not asking what the hourly labor charge was. They were fixing a repair again that they had done a few years back so I called them again thinking I had done my research previously. $175 an hour! More than the other review posted just 4 months ago. And they suggested they wait for the glue to dry which they recommend an hour. $175 waiting for glue to dry! I took my chances and gave it 30 min. If i could do no stars, I would. I'm a 13-year steady customer at their $160/hr or fraction thereof company. I had a stuffed up kitchen sink with guests for Christmas. The guy who answered the phone said, "not before early next week sometime." It took me several attempts, but finally reached supervisor Mike. He could hardly have been more rude. It was like gettimg "the finger " over the phone. Problem is, they're too rich and feel they don't have to worry about a customer. Well, I'm looking for a new plumber! read more

The main water line at my property has been leaking, and I waited 3 days on them to even go out there and look at it, which they never did. When I called them they said they would be out there the same day, or the next day. Now after 3 days of waiting on them I called 4 Seasons Plumbing and they had someone out there within a couple of hours. If TP Howard had been honest with me that it was going to take 3 to 4 days or more for them to get out there, I would have hired someone else. The line has been leaking a thousand gallons a day of water for 3 extra days waiting on them. They cost me hundreds of dollars in water usage due to their dishonesty. I will never use them again, and as a Realtor and property manager I will spread the word to all my clients to never use this company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE OVER PRICED, RUDE AND DO NOT CARE. We have been loyal customers for over 30 years. With our house and 9 local rentals; they have been reliable in the past but today when we called about a tenant who is a single mom with 2 young kids and a disabled mother that has no hot water ( new water heater installed by them 4/24) they said its not an emergency and that they would call us next week to see if they could fit us in. I said this was unacceptable and they did not care. I asked for the owner Josh Howard who knows us well to call us back. I had spoken to Eddie and Mike but never called back by owner. Both were rude and dismissive probably because I am a female. I explained that my husband a peds ICU doctor was saving lives and could not do the job in a timely fashion due to his commitment to the kids that were very sick in the ICU. I paid $2400 including 6 hours of labor for a normal electric water heater back in April. They did not care. I recently had referred a colleague and they screwed up her job. I do not know what's going on with them but many recent reviews are poor. They are not the only show in town. As a local doctor myself, and business owner I would have called the person myself. BTW since the hurricane in Asheville my husband has replaced 4 water heaters and most take an hour or so. read more

After finding out we had a major leak outside our house, we called TP Howard's office for an appointment, and Matt came out the very next day. While digging out mud by hand to find the cracked pipe, Matt also had to dig out pieces of concrete and other construction debris the builder had buried along the outside of our house. This was back-breaking work, but Matt kept his sense of humor during the whole process. He had to return the next day, since digging down five feet wasn't quite enough the first day, and he quickly dug another foot or so and found the break. He replaced the broken piece, and when the glue had dried and the pipe tested for no water leakage, he filled in the deep pit in no time and made it look like the ground had never been disturbed. We were so impressed with not only how quickly they responded to our call but also with the level of expertise and professionalism Matt displayed. We will use TP Howard again and will definitely refer others as well. read more

I requested replacement of hot water heater also replacement of main water cut off and if needed hot water cut off before they crome to my home the old cut off which was corroded and the handle had corroded off neither was replaced I was charged for line replacement which left this old cut off never heard of leaving a defected cut off in line when you were replacing it he also had to leave to obtain a single part a simple coupling these simple parts are suppose to be the stock in there van I paid more than 150 $ for him to obtain this read more

Called TP Plumbing from a recommendation from Nextdoor who had similar water pressure issues. This was the second company I called and had come out. I had two issues in a recent airbnb renovation, the sink and tub water pressure was very low. One of their associates, Jackson, came out and fixed my sink issue within 10 minutes of being there. The tub was a little more of a challenge. He did everything he could to try to remedy the issues. He went above and beyond to help solve my problem. One thing he tried, made it worse, but that just led to another possible solution. What I thought would take an hour or two, ended up taking close to 6, but they worked hard to solve my issue. After speaking with both Jackson and the office, we had agreed on a mutually agreeable price for the work that was done. I felt it was reasonable, and felt the work completed by Jackson was worth it. I had a problem with my well. TP Howard took a week to respond. The young man they sent was courteous and worked diligently to find the problem for 1-1/2 hours finally telling me I needed to call an electrician to fix the problem. Then proceeded to charge me $230.00 for fixing nothing which I would have happily paid, if he had fixed anything. I called the service manager and they reluctantly lowered the price to $195.00 which I reluctantly paid. read more

This was my first time using TP Howard plumbing but it won't be the last. The plumber that worked on my hot water recirculating pump was excellent. His name is Greg. Greg is a very experienced plumber who knows his stuff - he has been more than 20 years experience. He is a consummate professional and very friendly and explained what he was going to do and why. A blockage was found in the drainage line that needed different equipment to clear. We were kept informed on the status and both men worked diligently to clear the backup. This company used to be good but has steadily gone downhill. Our latest visit was a fiasco. The problem was misdiagnosed and they charged us for their mistakes, even putting in the wrong part and charging us for it. They also charged a $160 trip charge which they had not done so previously.
