Am I so happy I found them! My first phone call was positive: I didn't feel rushed off the phone and the guys there answered as much as they could over the phone. I ended up using their service to do a ppi! I had already spent money in another mechanic and he cleared the vehicle as all good with concerns about a couple codes on an FJ. I had a feeling they didn't know what they were doing with those models which led me to the Toyotech guys. The codes, as I suspected were a nonissue BUT, they found 3-4k in repairs I would have needed to do if I bought that FJ. Then, they took it a step further and referred me to a frame guy. Turns out it would have cost even more since the frame was rotting. Sucks I wasted the money but I found two great, honest and very thorough places for needs in the future. What a breath of fresh air taking your vehicle somewhere like Toyotechs. Are they the least expensive? No. Are they the best at what they do? Without a doubt. I took my vehicle here after taking it elsewhere for years. My past mechanic missed multiple small items that concerned me, and my car was beginning to shake, vibrate and pull to one side. After finally taking to it to Toyotechs, they took it for a quick drive and found out it needed struts, swaybar bushings in the rear, new left front swaybar, all new rotors, and multiple fluid changes. It wasn't cheap, but my car feels brand new afterwards. During the process, Toyotechs accidentally tore the CV joint boot and replaced the entire CV joint for free. In my opinion, most mechanics would have just claimed it was torn and stuck the cost of the part on the customer. Toyotechs also gave me a nice loaner vehicle for the entire day, and finished in the promised time. This is the type of service and honesty that will keep me coming back. read more

I started going to this mechanic when it first opened. I figured I'd support a new, local business over a corporate chain. At the time I had a Mitsubishi but they were taking all customers. Since then they've built up enough client base to be exclusive to Toyota and Lexus but they grandfathered me in since I was a loyal customer. Sometimes they'd joke around that they'd have to pull up instructions since it's a Mitsubishi but it was all in good fun. Also as a side-note, for those with kids they do have a little toy area for them in the lobby which is really considerate. Well multiple times now the guys there have really come through for me. The owner's dad gave me a ride to work because their loaner vehicle was being used. It's to the point now that I don't even trust taking my car anywhere else if I can avoid it. So much so that when I finally went to buy my next car I exclusively looked at Toyota vehicles so that I would no longer be "grandfathered in" at Toyo Techs Inc. I had my car checked out by them before I purchased it and I ended up negotiating the dealership to throw in some cash back due to some of the items Toyo Techs Inc found inspecting it. The dealership was going to do the repairs themselves, but when they saw Toyo Techs estimate they opted to give me cash back instead and let me go through my own guys. That in itself should be a good enough review of Toyo Techs Inc. The guys here are honest and have the best integrity I've seen for a car mechanic bar none. When one purchases a 33 year old Land Cruiser with 194K miles, the first thing they need is a good mechanic. I had read several reviews and they all praised Ryan and Josh at Toyo Tech. I also have two other Toyota's in my fleet so I was willing to give them a shot. I had an oil leak coming from around the front timing cover, though it had been replaced prior to purchasing I needed to have it checked out. After some diagnosis and a thorough cleaning of the engine, they found the suspected culprit. We came to an agreement on how to proceed and they had a solution that would slow the leak until a replacement timing cover and gasket could be sourced and installed. Josh and Ryan did an analysis of the vehicle and pointed out a few things that will need to be replaced in the future, but were not a high priority. I did not feel pressured to do anything that was not needed, unlike my last several visits with my Tundra at the dealership service center. This place is freaking awesome! As someone who has been taken to the cleaners from repair shops in the past, I always cringe when bringing my vehicle in anywhere. My wife was complaining about a grinding sound in her Prius so we took it here and Ryan quickly identified the problem as a worn out wheel bearing. This review is long overdue as I didn't realize ToyoTechs had a Yelp page. Not only is Ryan a solid hockey defenseman ;-), he is also THE most honest and capable auto mechanic I've ever encountered. Not only does he deliver his honest, "This is what I would do if this were my car!" opinion, the service he DOES provide is irreproachable! In my experience, dealerships search for ways to "influence" you into more service. Not Ryan. He figures out how much a repair might cost and then gives you options so you can make a functional/fiscally responsible decision. In FACT, I trust this guy and count on his honest service SO much, that I purposefully went out and purchased a Toyota SPECIFICALLY because I want him, and only him, working on my cars! I live in Iowa and found a car we were interested in in Omaha Nebraska. Because it was a used car I wanted to have it checked by a mechanic first. I found Toyotechs online and gave them a call. They went to the car dealership picked up the car, did a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle and then emailed me the report. They did find several issues with the vehicle which made us re-think the purchase. What awesome service, I feel like they went above and beyond.
