Great customer service, great selection of products, and very reasonable prices! Toy Lynx serves the card gaming community well in selection, price, keeping the community active with tournaments, and education by offering previews of newly released card games. I'm here almost weekly for their card tournamemts, every Thursday and Saturday. The tournaments are well organized and have decent prizes, such as multiple free card packs or free deck boxes. I'm definitely a huge fan of Toylynx. Back in the days, it used to be Jelly's or Gecko's that I would go to that would have MTG or Yugioh. But now days, Toylynx is definitely the place to go if you want a huge inventory to select from. It's tucked away in the Dole Cannery Plaza, find parking at Home Depot, Costco, in-between. The store has something like 5-6 rows of tables, that I figure to fit something like 40-48 players to play their game of choice. Their front displays all that they have to offer: sleeves, boosters, decks, boxes, etc. It moves to the side of the store where you can make selections from more boxes, and even some random video game/anime items such as toy figures or Final Fantasy elixirs. Back to their card selections, they carry the staples of MTG and Yugioh, but other things such as Vanguard and My Little Pony. Yes. If you know what you want outside of boosters or decks, you can make an order either in-store or at home and pick it up at the store. If you google their store, you'll get their schedule website. Great card shop. This place is located in Dole Cannery right by Dole theaters and Costco. They carry the latest TCG products and their prices are fair. However, they do not pull orders for single cards after 5pm, I learned that the hard way but no biggie. The staff is good and knowledgeable about the products they carry. Very crowded card shop (vanguard/magic the gathering/Pokemon, etc...) I tend to play my Magic tournaments at DA Planet location for this very reason. Went to pay my $10 fee to be told it was $12. Why I asked? Oh it is because we give you a slice of Costco pizza. Really now, I had dinner and I don't want the pizza, could I pay just the $10. Nope. No... No... Still $12. Oh well... I guess the $2 they made me pay is worth the $60 I was about to spend for card protectors, table mat, and cards? Not that I think they will miss my $60 because it is always packed with people. Went there looking to browse through singles. The nerd cashier guy working there was really up tight. Seriously some of you nerds need to wake up and grow a damn personality. Never going to this place ever again. Worst is that they have no cards to just browse through and pick what u want. Second, all their shit is behind the register hard to see and no price tags. Very shitty business if I cant even see wtf everything costs. Oh.....wipe down your computer keyboard and mouse, that shit was filthy. Hidden Gem for prospective Kidrobot vinyl fans and likewise toys. Prices are in league with the other few island distributors that sell dunnys, qees, etc. Much more convenient though then other locations. read more

Very friendly staff when compared to the other card/gamer shops on the island. This place is known for the customer store interactions with each other. My son goes here for pokemon and yugioh. He says its cheaper than other places. Selection is off da hook and staff seems to want to help and assist customers, even amateur young ones because I think they realize that is their market. Place can get crowded so be patient. Lots of kids and adult children as well. LOL. Nice quiet area situated in Dole cannery. The owner of this store purchased an auction on eBay from me about a month ago. He did not read the terms for shipping and due to the Ny to Hawaii distance it took a few weeks. The item was known in location for the duration of the shipment, it was just delayed due to the post office. The day before receiving the package he lied to EBay to file his claim and issue a refund. eBay did not complete due process and refunded him the item even though the tracking showed it was scheduled to be delivered. He took this chance to back out of our deal and use an EBay loophole to get a refund. It has been terrible to deal with him in every capacity. His smug responses about sellers not being able to leave negative reviews on eBay and how I cheaped out to save a few dollars on shipping left me with happiness and rainbows. I seriously hope nobody does business with him for being such an unreasonable piece of garbage. Just remember. There's always TCG player, star city games, and the entire internet to deal with instead of this particular trash. read more

price for items = great 4-5 stars easily atmosphere = 4-5stars easy too as it's clean and not dark and ghetto customer service = 1 star, and that is what i review on yelp. When it comes to selling cards unlike food i can only critique on service as retailers don't make the booster packs. the first time we went here and bought a case, it went smoothly, this short haired mid 20's early 30's guy helped us no problem, he checked inventory and got the box, he was 5 star help this time it took a whole hour to get 100 cards tops. Now if they were from a ton of sets with a ton of variety this would be expected sure. but it was from 3 different sets, most of which were lands/land foils so it should be grab and go. Even at another card shop, where a really slow worker was working it took him maybe 20 minutes or so because i was buying a bunch of different modern/vintage cards, so he had to sift through like 10 diff binders at least. then come to find he didn't have the inventory, that part didn't bother me one bit as i understand the hardships that come with keeping tracking of thousands of cards, but i can only assume that is why it took an hour. probably some worker searching for a card for FARRRRRR too long before they decided to say "we don't have it". If anything i'm just upset with bad worker training/worker choices. Once they saw the land was missing, they should have contacted me, then i woulda said ah just forget it... because i can go without 4 lands out of a 200$ order. and if by chance it really took the worker a whole hour to find the cards, and it wasn't delayed by the missing land.. then they really should hire someone else, or warn people they have slow workers or larger orders, and not make customers wait eons. to top things off, my gf wanted to buy 5 booster packs of innistrad, the worker just took the remaining few bosters from the box and mixed it in with the new box. how unsightly of a thing to do. If it is for our benefit, he shoulda asked if we wanted that, because if you are trying to help someone in cases like that, you ask them first, unless you are a psychic, and know what someone wants... but i can only imagine he wanted to ruin the experience of seeing what was left (which is what me n my girl like to do). ORRR he has heard what other customers pulled or seen them as they pull it in the shop... and knew there was something of possible value as only lower cards were pulled and wanted to mix it in. there is 0 tolerance in my book for that kind of action. what other reason is there? i doubt i'll be returning to ideal808 if that is the kinda of people hired there. I gave 2 stars because the first time the worker that helped me with the gatecrash case was awesome 5 star fast and friendly, while this time the worker deserved not even 1 star. read more

Crappy place to sell cards, first off I called them before I went there to ask if they buy Yugioh cards and if it was a good time to come in, the person who awnsered told me they would definitely buy my cards and it was a perfect time to come (I said I had around 4000) so I caught the bus from Kailua all the way to dole for them to ask me how much time I had like they were going to do it today if I was willing to wait. I told them I could wait till they finished and then he tells me he can't do it today and he wants me to come back tomorrow morning while he looked at them. They expected me to trust them with my 4000 cards till tomorrow which to me is kinda sketchy because how would I even know if I got all of my cards back? So I asked if they could try do it today with a rough estimate of how much they would buy it for and all of a sudden he finishes within 2 hours?! And he wanted me to come back the next day when he could've done it today?! I was offered a penny per card including rares, secret rares, ultra, and supers for a total of $40!!!!!! For 4000 cards?!?! Are you serious! Fuck this place go to the planet to sell at least they pay out more then these rip offs! I would also like to add that I organized my cards by sets and the asshole mixed them all up and I had a lot of the cards that were on the buylist on their website that were worth more then $0.50-$1 terrible place so BS wasted 4 hours of my time. read more
