His friend has recommended, saying they offer more closer to value than the other location I was going to go to. He himself had sold cards here and was offered way more than other places. I got a call from my granddaughter yesterday afternoon. She shared she had gotten a Labubu and a Sonny angel from this shop. Her first Labubu was "eaten" by their Golden doodle last weekend. After we hung up she called back and invited me to go there today after her brother's baseball game. Sure I replied without hesitation. She had a friend sleepover so 4 of us entered and we purchased 6 Labubus. The exciting macaron is hidden in a box in a sealed bag, unseen so it's like the surprise and suspense keeps building up. Her friend wanted mine called Sesame, you could tell by the expression on her face...so I let her switch and exchanged it for her green monster. I had secretly wanted the light blue or light teal one I saw on the pop mart app. Even sweetie's mom wanted mine and said she'd switch it for her white one. I told them to Jan Ken Po. Hubs came along so when they said aloha charms next I gave the excuse I had to feed hubs since it was lunch time. My son recently got into Pokemon, and so obviously I'm going to be on a search for it too. This small local shop is next to kalihi pet center and they have a ton of collectibles. My son was in awe of everything in the shop. The worker noticed my son checking out the pokemon posters hanging and he gave my son a card. He was so happy. We bought a couple of packs and went on our way. This place has everything from Pokemon, to sports cards, to labubus and legos. SHOP LOCAL My friend and I went in to check out the latest from the heart news. He loves the Pokemon and I do too. When we were younger, we wanted to catch them all! ALL 151 of them! However, there are just too many now. I asked the clerk just how many are there? "OVER ONE THOUSAND" he said. GTFO! Who has the time and energy to organize and remember over 1000+ pokemons and pokewomons. NOT I. I WILL NOT, SHALL NOT, EVER START COLLECTING THEM I SAY! NEVER! However, I do have quite a bit of other cards from back in the day. I saw some protector sleeves. I thought to myself, I should really get organized with all my cards. My life is a wreck, my cards should not! However, I just thought I could find a cool book or something cheaper via the internet. My friend and I leave the store and he asks, "You never wanted to buy anything?" I told him my thoughts on buying something cheaper online and he replies "WHAT ABOUT SUPPORTING LOCAL!" and I'm like " F*** YOU ARE RIGHT!" We waltz back in there and I buy the sleeves. As I'm in the middle of the purchase I see individual Pokemon packs behind him. For nostalgia sake I tell the clerk "I'll buy one of those." Then he goes on to explain about a new box coming out which I can't buy yet and it's not available. I have no idea what he's saying and tell him I just want a Pikachu. So he hands me a bunch of cards from this one row or packs they had and I choose one. I suddenly felt this wave of nostalgia, I forgot how much I enjoyed this and the excitement / anticipation of finding out what you might get. I feel like a child again. We drive to our next fun adventure and I forget about the pack. My friend doesn't forget tho. He wants to see what I got. I tell him he can open it. We have a bunch of GAGAWAHOOs and CHIKANORIS and BABY BANDANAS... also a card called LATIAS, the female form of LATIOS... I think it's short for Fellatias and Fellatios... I don't know how to pronounce it. But we did find out that card was worth 150 dollars. WTF!? you got to be kidding me! And if it gets graded a 10 it might be worth 400 dollars... So I am now going to use that money to buy a high yielding dividend etf. And with each dividend I receive, instead of reinvesting back into the etf, I will buy one pack from "From the Heart'... That is if its available, I went back and they didn't have any single booster packs for sale.... What are the odds? Went to this place on a whim off the rec of my friend and was pleasantly impressed with the portfolio on offer. They got everything from Japanese blind boxes, football cards, Pokémon, Funko and a small assortment of hot wheels. All of these are at avg prices resale or with a slight premium for what I assume is consignment. Staff kinda let you browse but seemed eager to close today despite me coming not a hour and change after they opened but didn't seem to dicks about it so not sure if it's a one off thing or not. A lot of the solid card deals I got were hidden in loose boxes so be sure to look all over. While this place probably wouldn't be a must look on the rock I'd put it as a treat on occasion barring a deal is gone to give it a look. read more

From The Heart is actually located in the building between Utage and Chuck E. Cheese. It's right next to the pet store. The merchandise at this shop includes Tokidoki items (like purses, backpacks, fanny packs, reusable folding bags, and tote bags), Sanrio characters, Funko Pop, Tsum Tsums, stickers, Squishmallows, trading cards, sleeves for trading cards, etc. Now I know where I can go if I need any of these items! Kawaii overload... Here in Kalihi City Square Shopping Center to be exact is From the Heart which is popular ups at certain events is known for all things collectibles. Cards, character, mystery boxes and even Legos. I really care with the intention to browse since I was in the area but my roaming eye found the cutest item that I couldn't resist though most of them are gifts so I can't post images of them yet. So much things to see and the staff is very knowledgeable of every item and if you purchase a muster box and open it right there in the shop and discover that you don't like the item you do have the option to trade...these are from the same set and from other that have done so as well and depends on the availability and is a great deal considering you have options. Some sets do have the option to purchase without the mystery as well which is a great option though giving gifts takes that fun away so opted out in that...so the mystery remains. Wow, Funkos-galore! From The Heart really does tug at your heart because this store sells so many Funkos as well as other toys and comic books that are current and some gems from when I was growing up many decades ago. From The Heart is located in the City Square Shopping Center in Kalihi along Dillingham Blvd. There's plenty of parking! There's also a From The Heart 2.0 with even more stuff located further down from the shopping center. If you need a specific and particular Funko Pop, and get a fair and excellent deal, then this is the place to come! There are just so many Funkos inside that you might miss what you're looking for. You can ask the staff. They're helpful and friendly. I came down on Black Friday for some deals on Funkos to buy as Christmas gifts for friends, and perhaps for myself if I found the particular ones I want. Sadly, I didn't find what I wanted at From the Heart, so I wandered down to From the Heart 2.0! There were more and even better deals at the 2.0 store. The staff is more friendly and helpful. I was lucky to find a few Funkos as gifts and one for myself. The prices were very fair. Overall, a good experience. When I first walked in these stores, it looked like they raided the two comic book stores in Kaimuki that recently closed for business; Gecko Books and Collector Maniacs. I seen many old toys that I remember seeing in those stores, which is great! After coming here, I now know where to go to find the specific Funko Pops I'd like to add to my collection. Came here for the first time with my kids. Didn't know they existed until today when we went to the Kalihi Pet Store next door. Anyways, this place reminds me of Toys-N-Joys. They carry all kinds of stickers, toys, figurines, and other collectibles that you can't normally find at places like Walmart, Target, etc. I'm a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan and I found some classic looking toys, but not quite what I was looking for. But it does sound like they have random stocks and/or supplies depending on what they get from people. They have a pretty huge selection of toys and stuff. The prices are pretty fair too. As a lifetime collector, it was really heartbreaking to see establishments like Gecko Comics and books (RIP Ted) and Collectors Maniacs forced to close their doors. I remember finding From the Heart Hawaii in the City Square shopping center because it was on the same strip as my barber. I went in and was really surprised at the collection of Funko that they'd amassed. Although I'm not into Funko pops, I found My Melody! Cute cute items that I could use to decorate my My Melody pink themed bathroom. That's the only room I could decorate in pink since I live with boys lol. It's a small quaint store but spacious. May the 4th be with you... My co-worker loves Star Wars so much, her daughter is named Leia. Me, I've watched Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back, and... that's about it. I was looking for some goodies for her and her girls to celebrate one of their favorite days, and Yelped Star Wars. It worked! I've gone back here twice over the past month since our first visit. The wife and I simply love this place. During the last couple trips, I purchased some pretty pricey Funkos for the wife. I just love the wide variety of Funkos they offer. During our trip today, one of the employees (possibly the owner) hooked us up with a couple hard plastic Funko cases for the price of the cheaper plastic Funko protectors based on how much we paid for our Funkos. We collect Funko Pops! We had been in the mall looking for something to fill our collection. Just the usual same assortment we see at other places. I'm talking with another pop shopper he recommended this place. Ok, funny name for a toy shop - oh well. So we made the 10 minute drive to a nondescript strip in what can be described as a sketchy area. Ah, but don't let the facade fool you. There is gold in this shop. There are a few aisles contains toys you probably had as a kid and are now worth a nice sum of $$$. But that's not what we were looking for. There were shelves upon shelves of what we were seeking. They had new stuff, old stuff and hard to find pops. I was online checking for holes in our collections that could be filled. We ultimately found 4. There were more but we didn't want to risk damaging them. The pops were all reasonably priced, including the valuable ones. We were both pleasantly surprised and will have to take an empty suitcase on our next trip. read more

Before I get into a detailed reviewed, I just want to say that if I could give this shop more than a 5 star review I would. Ken's customer service and willingness to go out of his way for his customers is something that is hard to find nowadays. And although my review will mostly discuss Funko Pops, this store carried other collectibles such as Kid Robot, Vinylmation, TokiDoki, and more... My wife found this place on yelp while we were planning our trip to Waikiki. It was only about 15 minutes away from our hotel right next to Waikiki beach. We almost didn't even bother going in since we were on vacation, but I'm glad we did. The store has two large walls behind the register, filled to the ceiling with Funko Pops. A mix of rare and common funkos, all priced very reasonably. For those of you familiar, all pops were either priced at or below PPG. In the middle of the store was a large standing rack with the back and front also filled with Funko Pops that were priced at 3 for $25, luckily that day they had a sale of 4 for $25. The best part about it is that they weren't just common funkos, I was able to find 4 exclusive funkos for the $25 deal (2 GameStop exclusive Megamans, Specialty Series Leatherhead, and Hot Topic Exclusive Metallic Red Ranger) all for cheaper than retail price. I then began to take a more detailed look at the walls behind the register, I was looking for some specific hard to find Funkos (mainly DBZ and some Chase variants). Unfortunately I didn't see anything that I was specifically looking for, but Ken let us now that if we are looking for specific things that he may have it just not out on his shelves yet. My wife asked if he had any Stranger Things and she was able to walk away with a Chase Demogorgon, Hot Topic Exclusive Eleven Underwater, Hot Topic Exclusive Ursula with Cruella De Vil all for PPG, or even if any minor box damage a couple bucks under PPG. And he also pulled out a Galactic Toys Exclusive Shenron for about retail price. We were already very satisfied with our pickups, but Ken took it a step further and offered for us to send him our want list to see if he can find them or had them available in his other inventory. We took advantage of the offer and he was able to get us a Vaulted White Ranger and 2 other funkos for my wife. I haven't had a business owner go that out of his way to give customers what they are looking for, and then turn around and sell it for a great price. They also gave us some good local favorite places to eat while on the island. All in all, From The Heart is a must visit for anyone who is into vinyl figures or any other collectibles. We will definitely be back anytime that we are on the island. If only we had a store like this with this great customer service where we live. read more

I've been wanting to come check out this shop for a while after following them on instagram and seeing all their cool toys! My son is obsessed with those blind toy bags, especially the avengers ones! This store has so many! Walls and walls! It is crazy how many different ones there are to choose from! The guy working at the time was really nice! My son pretty much grabbed everything because he truly just thinks that he's getting toys! Anyways we ended up buying a bunch of things! I even got some things for myself! I've been wanting to her a fuzzy penguin keychain but ended up getting a bunny since they were all sold out of the penguins. I also got a $10 lunch bag that had totoro on it! Super cute other lunch bags with different characters on them as well! My husband got a handful of stickers that are created by local artist 7 sketches. The prices were reasonable and many items were buy so many for a certain price. My kids definitely loved it and will be back here again! Oh another perk to note... if you purchase the blind toy bags you can trade them for another keychain from the same set. They have a couple keychains hanging on hooks near the blind bags. If you open the bag after purchase you can swap it out for another one hanging. I think that's awesome! You may not like what you got or if you're collecting them you may already have that one! Writing this review really hurts especially in this time of the covid pandemic. I truly believe in supporting local businesses especially in times of uncertainty however, treating customers poorly with sarcasm and derogatory remarks is not acceptable for any business. I came to visit "From the Heart Hawaii" on 2/ 24/21. my purpose was to find the value of a PSA graded "Charizard V" Pokémon card and hopefully sell or consign the card. As I walked in I asked a worker if they buy graded cards. The worker turned to who I believe is the store owner and he took a look at the card. He asked me how much i wanted for it. I am not an expert in any means which is why i was looking to receive some information on it as well as work around a fair price for both parties within this transaction. I did scroll through ebay prior to get a good look on the current market He then told me "I don't know let me look" shaking his head. he proceeded to pull out his phone. "$10" in a very sarcastic tone was his response. I laughed a little and then said "hey the lowest price is around $750 on ebay could we work around that?" he then told me "I need to make money too and if u really knew how ebay works they take a percentage so why are you even in this store trying to get $750" Again, i asked "can we work around that price would u like to make an offer? $750 was a ballpark i was starting at for my offer" He then said "I don't make offers and actually $10 was the first offer" again very sarcastically after telling me a ridiculous offer of $10. I thanked him for his time and left it at that. As a business owner myself I am truly appalled by the entire situation that went down. Personally i would never treat customers with any sort of sarcasm or derogatory remarks. This business owner appeared as if he was busy talking with his friends and didn't have time for a customer walking in with intentions to seek information and a transaction. However, this is not my business and This man will run his business the way he wants to. I truly hope no one experiences this level of awful service at this store and i wish them all the best. read more
