The first time I went to Toy Traders, I was completely overwhelmed by the store's inventory of toys. My friend was more astonished than I was when he saw all the Marvel and horror slasher memorabilia. Not just typical retail toys you can find anywhere. They sell preowned Lego sets action figures, statuettes, decor. The store walls were covered with great big scale models and collectables hanging from the ceilings. There are also mint collectable statuettes worth hundreds of dollars displayed in glass cases. Toy Traders is every fanboy's dream store and people are bound to find something they want to buy. Even if you do not, this store is like a museum where you find joy and adoration for the majority of the store's presentation of their retail.

Nothing short of overwhelming in the best way. Whether you're a comic collector, board game enthusiast, movie memorabilia fan, Lego legend, figure collector or anything in between, you're likely to find your fun here. Toy Traders is like no other toy store on earth that I've visited. Over two levels they've packed so much stuff - on the shelves, behind cabinets, with figurines and memorabilia everywhere you look. New and used, they've got it all. Definitely allot at least an hour to peruse all their offerings and be sure to bring a couple loonies if you want to play their pinball or Simpsons game. This is a place worth going out of your way for - I will absolutely be back with money in my pocket to spend. Give this independent shop your business!

LAST UPDATE: GOT A VOUCHER THAT REFLECTED THE TOP PRICE FROM LAST YEAR. REALLY APPRECIATE THE OWNER WHO HANDLED IT PROFESSIONALLY ILL BE CHANGING THE REVIEW TO 5/5 STARS UPDATE: THE OWNER HAS REACHED OUT AND TOOK FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DELAY AND WHAT HAPPENED. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING IT RIGHT AND ONCE ITS SOLVED ILL BE CHANGING MY REVIEW Title: Terrible Experience at Toys Trader: Stolen Expensive Pokémon Card with No Resolution Review: My experience at Toys Trader was absolutely dreadful. Not only did I have an expensive Pokémon card stolen from me, but the lack of resolution or progress in over six months is unacceptable. Toys Trader failed to prioritize functional security cameras, leaving valuable merchandise vulnerable. Despite reaching out to the owner, the situation remains unresolved. This negligence and lack of urgency reflect poorly on their commitment to customer satisfaction. I caution everyone to avoid Toys Trader, especially if dealing with valuable Pokémon cards. Their inadequate security measures and failure to address theft promptly demonstrate a lack of concern for customer safety and satisfaction. In conclusion, my time at Toys Trader was a nightmare. The stolen Pokémon card and lack of resolution have left me deeply disappointed. I cannot recommend this store until they prioritize security and customer well-being.

I'm here to find myself more Stormtroopers for my Tantive IV diorama . Stormies are never cheap even on eBay and here is no exception . They usually cost at least tens of dollars each , and depending on figure and cardback condition and also rarity some go for more . There's a reason why they're called Toy " Traders " - to make good profit off toys , which tbh doesn't really bother me . Heck even Lego is more expensive here . So maybe I'll just browse , like a lot of ppl like to do here as their toy collection is absolutely mind-blowing ! This is truly a great place to spend part of your weekend in . For kiddos and kidults alike .

The best (and for me, the only) reason to go to Langley. When a place has a bypass, it can't really be a place you'd want to visit, am I right? I had never been to Langley before, but I kind of expected that the best thing about Langley was leaving it. So, I did not have high expectations of Toy Traders, at all. I kind of visualized Toy Traders as a hole in the wall where the mom and pop owners eye you suspiciously as you wander the dark, narrow aisles adorned with handwritten signs saying: "Nice to look at, nice to hold. But if you break it, consider it sold." So, imagine my surprise when I enter for the first time, and I realize that this place rivals the Bow Mac Toys R Us in size, taking into account it has more than 1 level. Aisles are wide, inventory is well stocked, lighting is good and products are somewhat well organized. More on that later. They even have a life sized Groot.....and I'm not talking Baby Groot, either. My first time there, I quickly made a B-line to the DC section where DC action figures and statues were stored. Where most comic book stores would carry 1, maybe 2 of a particular figure, Toy Traders would have half a dozen, or more. Some figures were priced higher than available online. Some were priced at MSRP. But, there were some items put on clearance that were well below market price. These bargains are YMMV, but Toy Traders had a few hidden gems at knockout prices. On the other end of the spectrum, they also had some figures that were long discontinued and were now highly collectable that were pushing close to a grand in value. If you are seeking a rare item, check Toy Traders first. I then made my way to the comic book "section". Their new releases/current issues section was well stocked. They also had an alcove that had some back issues. In another section of the store, they also had a "Bargain Bin" of $2 comics. It was a bit confusing navigating the comic section(s) because comics were stored in 3+ different parts of the store. The "Bargain Bin" comics were not well organized, but after some digging, I was able to snag a few issues that I actually needed, at half the price other stores were asking. To make matters more confusing, scattered along the upper shelves of the toy/figure aisles, they also had pricey single issues of individual comics for sale. If I ran Toy Traders, I would try to make the comics less of an afterthought and consolidate everything into one section so that comics are easier to find. Toy Traders also have a lot of "loose" action figures. "Loose" here doesn't mean sexually promiscuous. Instead, "loose" means "used toys that don't come with original packaging". Instead, they are bagged in plastic bags with accessories/weapons that may or may not be complete. Prices vary. Some might be a bargain. But, if the figure is in mint condition, highly sought after, and complete with all accessories, the price can actually be much more than the original MSRP. I did not have time to sort through everything, but I saw old G.I. Joes, He-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, My Little Ponies, etc.... I imagine that you can probably score a better deal on eBay, but at Toy Traders, you can actually see and touch the item you want. The best reason to visit Toy Traders, perhaps, is to see all the movie props, statues and high end items on display. During COVID times, when places like Disneyland or Universal Studios are not an option, two hours at Toy Traders will be a nice alternative. Behind fences, they had full size replicas of costumes, weapons and creatures from movies such as Terminator, Star Wars and Aliens. They also had numerous dioramas featuring memorable movie scenes. It appears as if these are for display only, as price tags were not visible. But, the almighty dollar speaks, so if you see something you desire, it couldn't hurt to ask if it's for sale. My biggest mistake was only giving myself about 90 minutes to shop. I barely scratched the surface, so I will need to go back at some point. But, there lies the problem. Who wants to go to freakin' Langley. I asked the cashier about ordering online, but they said that was not an option. When I checked out their website later that evening, I could see why. Toytraders.ca looks like it was designed back when "Lycos" was the premier search engine and Internet was via dial-up. The "Under Construction" icons are kinda cute, though. An utterly amazing toy store, first and foremost. Comic section could use much improvement, but this would not be my first choice to get comics in the first place. Toy Traders would get 5 stars if they were located in a city of significance, and they had a full-feature e-commerce website.

Coolest toy store to have ever existed! Came here specifically for Funko POPs and hot toys but wow... I was amazed at the huge toys! Are they even called toys anymore? They're gigantic and its literally everywhere. It's about a 30 minute drive from Vancouver downtown area, located in a quiet shopping centre. On the right, the cashier counter stretches all the way near the back of the store while there are at least 4 aisles of Funko directly in front of the entrance. Towards the back is an entire children's play area / children's toys. In the middle are all the exclusive toys and figures and all the way to the left side of the store are legos and arcade games. The only thing I didn't like was that the store wasn't that clean. Staff are super super friendly and are willing to always help when asked. Highly recommend!

I haven't seen a toy store this massive, with amazing props everywhere, since I was in ToysRUs in NYC in Times Square. Well, it's not quite as big - but impressive none the less. Toys, Action Figures, Comics, pretty much anything you can imagine - and then some. It's cool to check out if you happen to find yourself out in Langley. It's extremely clean, bright and well organized. Staff is quite friendly, helpful and not over bearing. Prices are not cheap. But this is based on the extremely high quantity and condition items are in. I have rarely seen second hand Monster High Dolls in such pristine shape! Also, the stock you see here, is not your typical everyday, "been there seen that" toys. So much new fun to discover and covet !

I have no words... okay I do! This is an everything's awesome toy shop. It's so elaborately decorated and such an amazing feast for your eyes! I honestly felt like I should have been charge some kind of fee just to enter this place.I heard my husband say (twice) that he wanted to live there. ;-) We can't wait to go back!

Absolutely everything from pseudo vintage to mainstream and everything in between. foodieatlarge.yelp.ca 'Toy Traders Langley.

Yes they prob have anything in way of games, collections and the likes. But I cannot afford to bust the bank for my students because the prices reflect a massive gross profit margin, I estimate is around 400 - 500%. Too bad because they do indeed have thee most massive inventory. In my opinion this is a massive cash grab. I simply cannot afford their prices. $$$$ Minimal customer service. If they had more trades at a fair price point it would be viable. Amazing store,$$$$.

As a new mom, the thing I really appreciate are the nursing rooms located in the back of the store. You need an associate to help you open the door, but once inside it is a very pleasant room with everything you could need to help take care of your infant. There is a changing pad, sink and paper towels, and a nice comfy rocking chair to nurse your young one. It sure came in handy when I needed to feed my little one!

While it's combined with the defunct Babies"R"Us and attached to the mall, I couldn't help but feel disappointed that this is a shell of its former self. While large and spacious, the feeling is warehouse-like, stale and lacking that magical sense that us millennials loved as kids. Toy deals were rare to be seen, and even price conversion to USD wasn't even advantageous. While it was nice to personally reminisce and show my toddler around, the small independent toy shops/online shopping are the way to go now.
