Long time client - I will not go back. Very disappointed with how this repair was handled. I…read moreinitially brought my Jeep in for a loose 4WD shifter. The first diagnosis focused on a clutch failure with an estimate over $6,000, which ultimately turned out not to be the issue. After several weeks (4 weeks just to be diagnosed due to lack of bodies in the shop), the actual problem was identified as a worn transfer case linkage -- consistent with the original symptom and exactly what I told them that I knew the problem was - it's pretty typical with the Jeep Wrangler JK. Throughout the process, the estimate was revised multiple times, including a significant additional charge after parts were said to have been "inadvertently omitted." While I understand repairs can evolve, clearer explanations and earlier verification would have gone a long way. After the repair was completed, the vehicle had multiple warning lights illuminated. When I asked if the codes could be cleared and rechecked -- a standard post-repair step -- I was told there was "no sense" in doing so and advised to pick up the vehicle as-is. The final repair itself appears to address the mechanical issue, but the experience suffered from inconsistent diagnosis, long delays, changing estimates, and limited follow-through at the end. I expected clearer communication and a more complete handoff for a repair of this scope. I hope this feedback helps improve the process for future customers.

(Thing is the dealer won't provide warranty on the item; I just paid labor). Prior to COVID, they used to bring me into the shop for a minute a show me. Now they send you video to your phone with an explanation from the mechanic. How cool is that? I loved the transparency they provided. If there was a part on order, I get a loaner. If they were out of loaners, they paid for my rental for a week while my parts were waiting to arrive from Germany. 10/10 I have since traded in for a newer (used) model, and the sales team seemed like good people. I didn't argue on a price, though. I did find some small minor things wrong with the car after about a month in, and Audi Cascade did me right. They took of every little thing free of charge (whereas total work would've been around $700). No wonder why they're part of the Audi's Magma Society. For those that love and stick with Audi, you should do your research and check out what dealerships were given this award. As a years long customer that has to deal with shady dealerships now (because I moved for work), I will miss this place.

The vehicle was serviced, and I was referred to Mazda's 1-800# to resolve the floor mat issue. The service advisor mentioned "these concerns are usually best solved if the consumer gets involved with Mazda, I have one other option I could try but I'd recommend you call them instead". After speaking with Mazda's customer service line, they couldn't understand why the concern wasn't looked at as the car is under its bumper to bumper warranty. I took the car to another dealership, they've determined the passenger seat rails are defective and the part has been ordered under warranty. The fact that Cascade Mazda could not offer a solution is extremely disappointing.

I was not interested if the underbody was extremely rusted and I conveyed it to Mike Caporaletti, the salesman who took my call. Mike called back and assured me that it was in excellent condition top and bottom. I put a deposit on it and my wife and I drove 200 miles to get it. I was apprehensive as cars are seldom as described over the phone, but it was just as Mike described it and better than what I realistically hoped for. I had previously sold my old 2005 Mercury Mariner and knew I was going to miss it and really didn't need two sedans, so I asked Mike if they had a 2012 Escape. He found one with really low miles at one of their other locations and had one of their drivers go get it. We were able to agree to a reasonable trade value on my 2011 Impala so I agreed to test drive it. When I inspected it, it was in excellent condition and Mike assured me that all their low mileage late model vehicles will have any mechanical issues repaired. During my test drive it had an objectionable howl, which I thought was a wheel bearing or CV joint. A mechanic took it for a ride and put it up on the hoist and determined that it was not mechanical and was the result of unevenly wearing tires. Knowing that I had factory warranty left and them making an adjustment in price that compensated for the largest portion of new tires, I bought the Escape. I also want to point out that this all happened on a Saturday. It is nice to be able to have a dealer open on Saturday. The following Monday I replaced the tires and the Mechanic was correct, although the tires appeared to be decent the uneven wear was the cause of the noise. As a precaution I had a four wheel alignment done and had them check the brakes. They reported that there was all kinds of new brake hardware on the Escape so no service was necessary. It was reassuring to know that Al Spitzer Ford did the repairs that they claim they do on all their quality used cars. So I bought two cars from Mike that day and although it was a long day as the Escape was at another location, their facilities are excellent. They have a very comfortable customer area with a large screen TV and a play area for children. They brought in chicken, potatoes and pizza and offered lunch to all the customers who were waiting. They have a large inside area to inspect the cars and transfer your belongings from your old car to your new car, which was great as the weather was really cold and rainy. All the paperwork went smoothly and as I wasn't expecting to buy the Escape when I left home I didn't take enough money so they arranged short term financing of the balance for me. Considering all aspects of my day at Al Spitzer Ford, my experience was very positive. My impression of Mike Caporaletti, who handled my purchases was that he was truly interested in me being satisfied with my decision and he and the entire staff that I had contact with were very personable and courteous. In closing I would say that a drive out of your area to Al Spitzer Ford is worth the time and gas if they have a vehicle that suits your needs.

Received some BS response so I gave it another couple days before I had to call back again for an update. I was told I would get a call back from the service department. When I did receive a call back it was from the sales department saying "the service department still has some diagnostics to run, but I am going to be honest with you, the estimate looks quite hefty. Could I ask how much you owe on this vehicle because we could take it off your hands." I own my truck outright and I told the sales person as such and immediately went and picked up my vehicle. The person behind the service counter was clearly typing in some BS inspection reports as I was standing right in front of him. I stood at the counter for about 15 minutes...clearly he wasn't just closing out my account and handing me the keys which should've taken five minutes at most. He had to create a maintenance report there in the moment. I honestly don't think they ever looked at my truck in the 10 days they had it. Over the next few months I continued to receive calls from the sales department asking if I would like to sell my truck to them. I apologized to the last service sales rep who called me because I got quite annoyed and demanded that they remove my phone number from their sales pitch list. I strongly recommend staying away from this place for service.
