    Iced matcha
    Skyla J.

Recently moved into the neighbourhood and stopped by for an iced matcha with my roommate. We felt right at home! Friendly service, great drinks and the best sausage roll of my life.

    Eric F.

Really nice staff working here, they're happy to talk about local events or anything at all, even with non-regulars (that's us!). They also have really great sausage rolls. Stuffed full of lots of sausage, it was very satisfying (and maybe a bit heavier than expected). Be sure to try one if you haven't yet! I don't drink coffee, but my friends who were with me said that the coffee was fantastic. I'm glad that we were staying near by. Wifi password is gordonhead

Township is a hidden gem in Gordon head, Victoria. With a relaxed atmosphere, this locally owned and operated coffee shop is manned by the owner Eric. They serve the best coffees in town using beans roasted locally from Fantatisco. They also served fresh baked goods everyday! A must for true coffee enthusiasts!!!

Thank goodness there is a spot for amazing coffee in Gordon Head. Erik, the owner, has learned the craft of espresso from Fantastico and keeps the passion alive with the most amazing and beautiful drinks. Not only that, they have Byron Fry's Bread for sale, fresh handmade sandwiches, baked goods and a selection of gluten free items. I'd totally recommend a visit to this new cafe (and maybe a hike on Mount Doug too!)

Iced Green Tea Matcha Latté! Extremely delicious! Matcha comes from Japan, Almond Milk from Oregon!

This cafe would be fantastic if it weren't for the owner who pontificates loudly and endlessly, making it impossible to focus on anything.

The employees swear a bunch and things are way overpriced. A man with curly brown hair consistently used the f bomb and the word sh*t.

I got the Third Eye Coffee and it has 7 mushrooms and it was quite earthy. The honey lavender had really delicious sweet lavender floral taste. The coffee was great but we came across a not great experience with a lady/customer in line. She told us to wait outside since the owner doesn't like when the coffee shop is packed as it made him nervous. We acknowledged what she said. The tone was rude and stated, "well, aren't you going to go?" But we were holding the door for her to go out first since we have manners. If what she said was true, I think it would be better if the owner had a sign of some sort so folks aren't scolded but this lady. I tried to tell myself she doesn't represent the coffee shop but it did make me just want to leave to another shop. When we walked by the coffee shop throughout the day since we walked around town, there were definitely multiple people waiting inside like we did. Sooo...

When I lived in…read moreVictoria, I would come here all the time, but since I've moved to Vancouver, I've only been here once in the last 5-6 months. Buuuut, I finally got to come back here this past weekend and it was like coming home. It had the same comfort-style breakfast foods and the quality was exactly the same, maybe even better (although I could have been biased since I missed this place so much). I usually stick to my usual traditional breakfasts (sausage, egg, bacon, check!), however, whenever I came to Urban Cup, I was trying something different. Whether it's their breakfast or lunch menu, you can't really go wrong. They have a soup + sandwich special that changes daily, and every time it's looked delicious! It's hard to pinpoint what my favourite dish is here. It might be a tie between their hashbrowns (home-style pan fried) or clam chowder. But like I said before, everything on this menu is delicious. What's really nice about UC is that you order and pay right when you walk in, seat yourselves, and the food gets brought out to you. So when you're finished you can take your time and leave whenever, without trying to get your server's attention to pay your bill. It's a bit of a hidden gem really, overshined by the more popular brunch spots like Jam and Blue Fox, but if you're looking to avoid the long lines, pay for a (cheap) amazing breakfast, and don't want to go downtown, then come here. You won't regret it.

This is right outside the Public Market and has plenty of street parking on and around the block. Service is fast and the staff is friendly. We had the below items and can't wait to be back to try more on their menu. It seems they do refresh their menu quite a bit and the current menu is definitely bomb! 1. Hong Kong style Pork Sandwich - 12/10, amazing favors, very nicely done! 2. Savory Poptart - 10/10, light, flake, buttery, melt in the mouth 3. Mandarin Day Dream from their Signature Drinks - Drink of my dreams.
