Personally I have not had any problems with referrals but I know other people have. Getting care is very difficult, my husband went there because he had poison ivy and he was afraid it was getting in his eye and they turned him away, told him to go to an ophthalmologist. Well she wasn't available because she has a limited schedule so he had to go to the ER and the doctor said why are you here? Your primary care could have handled this. So that's a bill we could have done without. I take stimulant meds for ADHD prescribed from a different provider, via telehealth, she needs my blood pressure reading when prescribing, I bought two different arm cuff ones and for some reason they just aren't accurate so I asked Pepperell if they could check my blood pressure before my appointments and the assistant said yeah no problem! Just call ahead and you can pop in and someone can come right out and check it real quick no biggie. But when I did, they said no, you have to schedule an appointment and it will be a nurse visit which would cost me a $20 co-pay! I said forget it, you're telling me I can't pop in and someone can't run out for a three seconds to take my blood pressure? They refused. My state job as a school van driver requires me to renew my license every year which means I have to have a physical, it's NOT dot, it's just one page asking some health questions about vision and hearing, heart issues and whatever, my provider refused to fill it out. Then after much arguing back-and-forth, they agreed to give me a vision and hearing test. I've never had trouble hearing and they came back and told me I need a hearing aid! I'm 44! I can hear a mouse fart! So I had to go to urgent care to have all this done which costed me $100 and of course I passed everything with flying colors. This office treated my elderly in-laws badly as well. I was constantly advocating for them. Also, my husband signed the form giving them permission to speak with me about anything related to him and then they later said he didn't and it wasn't on file so they refuse to talk to me every time my husband tells me to call them for him. And now, they have canceled my husband's appointments three times! Once it was the day before the appointment when he had already arranged the time off from work! We have the same provider and now it turns out she's leaving! My adult son also goes there and he just got a letter saying that his provider is leaving too! I have never seen an office like this. We are going to find a different doctors office altogether after we move this year.

As a patient, I felt that important information was not always shared effectively among staff members, resulting in unnecessary challenges in receiving care. Additionally, I did not feel that the office was particularly accommodating to individuals on the autism spectrum or those with communication-related needs. I hope improvements can be made in these areas, as better coordination and accessibility would greatly enhance the patient experience. I am in the market for a new Drs office at this point.

Overall service is wonderful and for it only being one person cooking and manning the front it is impressive how quickly I get my order. When their system has only a mediocre specialist associated, that's who you'll see. If you hear of a wonderful doctor who specializes in your specific problem, you can't see him if he's not part of their system. When you go to see your PCP, he won't do anything except refer you on to another doctor. They do more referrals for doctors in their system and more tests recommended by those doctors. All so they can stick their greedy little hands deeper into your wallet. Don't trust anyone associated with Stewart Medical Associates!

It's been harder and harder to get an appointment... lately, I'll call at 7:30AM. and might get a nurse callback in the afternoon. That usually leads to an appointment with a nurse practitioner sometime in the next few days, (we havent seen an MD there in years). Then the nurse practitioner you're scheduled with is given 15 min with you (well, that's what one said when bolting in the middle of a conversation yesterday). The front desk staff varies from indifferent to acting bothered by you. The nurses mostly seem nice. The nurse practitioners seem hurried, and lately, I get the impression they've decided what's going on before seeing my kids. Not good. Too bad... they used to be better... WAY better.
