They said that they did and they quickly scheduled my first appointment for today, 12/28/22(a week after my surgery). I get a voicemail message THIS morning saying that they are out of network and do not take my insurance. Really???? On the day of my scheduled appointment I get this message. You had almost a month to let me know. Somehow I don't think people with other insurances have to deal with this lack of respect.

I had a torn meniscus and went to PT before and then for several months after surgery. Kevin is so easy to work with - pleasant, knowledgeable, hands on, happy to explain as much as you want to know, and confident about his recommendations. He sees a wide range of people from young kids to older adults, and he seems to have a good time interacting with all of them (ie, he has a great bedside manner). It is also very easy to schedule or change appointments. You simply call and get a live, helpful person who quickly finds you an appointment (shocking!). The whole experience was excellent, and I have since referred two friends to Kevin who have also become fans. This was my first experience with PT, but my friends have seen several therapists over the years and think Kevin is the best of them.

I ended up having to have 3 surgeries (over the better part of a year) in order to put my ankle back into a functioning state. During that time I came to know Dr. Boisvert fairly well. As a surgeon she is top shelf. My ankle was in a lot of pieces and she put them back together perfectly. As a communicator she was also great. Not only communicating with myself, but also with the wound doctor that was also tending to my ankle. She was very clear in her explanations leading up to every procedure that I had done, and encouraged my feedback every step of the way. I am very grateful to Dr. Boisvert! Frankly, as someone who has worked on the other side of a…read moremedical office counter, I think it's a bit silly for folks to expect to be seen immediately as if other patients aren't also due time and attention when their concerns or questions might run long, for doctors not to book out in advance, and to not have some patience with customer service folks. People are difficult to deal with, and these folks have to deal with many people who are not feeling well, who are often navigating a tangle of insurance and stressed out, and who are probably snapping at the CSR because of it. I always give the benefit of the doubt with customer service folks, especially in healthcare - it is NOT an easy job! And in my experience, I most often get what I give as far as how I am treated. As for my medical experiences, I've been an Acton Medical patient for almost my entire life, and I have had very solid experiences with them throughout - especially of late. Dr. Natalie Cohen has developed a solid and trusting doctor-patient relationship with me, making meaningful notes about our conversations so she can follow up next time, never making me feel like she is in a rush, asking about and making suggestions for the health of my whole self, and truly listening and making me feel like she is honestly invested in my well being. She's a rare breed these days when many other doctors have made me feel like they just needed to check off the boxes and get into the next exam room.
