Amazing! Very creative menu and very tasty food. Our server, Nathan, was attentive and responsive. This restaurant is a little pricey, but oh so worth it. The names of drinks on the bar menu is great reading even if you don't drink. If you do, I can recommend the "Fairies wear Boots," a delightful concoction of Aperol, Bonai, champagne and ginger beer. It was a Aperol spritz with more complexity. The town Hall burger was a winner:generous portion of burger and fries with wonderful flavor. The wedge salad was excellent. Shrimp cooked just right. Dessert was also memorable-pecan pie cobbler with homemade vanilla ice cream. We literally were just passing through, in search of something for dinner that wasn't fast food. What I find! We will be looking for reasons to return. read more

If you need to stop by a drink or have a nice sit down meal in downtown Florence, come to Townhall. I came here for a birthday dinner and the food and drinks were superb. I ordered the scallop chowder and loved it. The calamari was the best I've ever had here in South Carolina so it's definitely a must-try. You also can't go wrong with any of their cocktails here because the two I ordered were simply amazing. No complaints here. read more

Hands down my second favorite restaurant in Florence. One can't go wrong eating here. They quail dish is my favorite! I have dined at the bar each time I ate here and the bartenders are always pleasant and hospitable. read more

We ordered a Kale salad to go. First of all, when I called they said it would take 20-30 minutes. I was like, whoa, for a salad, they must be busy. In their defense it was 7:30 on a Thursday evening. But the person on the phone asked if I wanted her to call when it was ready, I said yes, please. So I set my timer to 20 minutes and waited, and waited and waited. After 30 minutes, no call, so I went over there. Sure enough, when I walked in, it was ready. Then I said to the hostess, oh I thought you were going to call. She shrugged her shoulders and literally said: "I don't know, whatever." Then hands me the bill. I grab my cc and hand it to her, she hands me the salad. Here is where it get worse. I looked in the bag, and it was a tiny, tiny salad. Dry. With SUPER large pieces of kale. I mentioned, wow, this is pretty small. The other hostess said, "yeah well, um how was your day?" My receipt and card came back and I took the sorry looking salad and left. I get back to the hotel, open the salad and it is NOT AT ALL as described. What I got was large tough leaves of kale, two pieces of smashed egg yolk, NO pecorino and STALE cornbread croutons. Honestly, whoever made this salad as NEVER actually eaten a kale salad. It's super hard to have healthy options when away traveling. If you are looking for a healthy respite....SKIP the Town Hall. read more

I had mid hopes for this place and that's exactly what it was. Mid at best. The chicken wings were dry. The deviled eggs were okay. The quail was gross but the veggies were good. The smash burger is pretty good. Atmosphere was great. Customer service was great. The food just wasn't that great. read more

Was only in Florence for one night, and Town Hall is located across the street from the hotel we stayed in. Made a reservation, and I think that is a must because the place was very busy. We were seated promptly. Lovely restaurant. Service was perfect. We had the deviled eggs and oysters, truffle fries, crispy pig ears, and roasted bone marrow. Loved it all. Awesome experience. read more

We went there to celebrate our anniversary. The food, as expected, was great! We had been there before and knew it would be. However, the service was outstanding! They called to confirm our reservation and found out that it was our anniversary. They had a card signed by all the staff, a great little candle as a gift (the 16th anniversary is the "wax" anniversary), and chilled flutes of champagne waiting on us. The attention given over the evening was just right- not overbearing, but not unavailable. We'll be back for a regular special dates just because they treated us so well. read more

My husband and I just recently celebrated our 6 year anniversary and we decided to go to Town Hall for dinner. my husband actually planned the dinner and it was hands the BEST experience we've ever had. To start, when he called to make the reservation the nice hostess was so sweet and helpful and was really trying to help him make the night special. then, our waitress, I believe her name was Jordan... she was absolutely amazing!! she really made us fee comfortable and was just hands down the best! THE FOOD and THE DRINKS.... omg sooooo delicious, I ordered the roasted chicken, my husband ordered the steak and fries... they were chef's kiss!!! the manager came over to us and was so pleasant! OH and the best part, they had chocolates for us and a sweet note on our table. I added a picture for you to see. I highly recommend Town Hall! the atmosphere and the staff are so wonderful! read more

Highly disappointed, especially after paying $27 for two desserts. We ordered to-go and discovered the chocolate cake was FROZEN when we got back to the hotel. It didn't matter because it was disgusting anyway. The rhubarb cheesecake was not good and the up-charge for the hand-churned ice cream was entirely too much. They closed right after we left and we left Florence the next day, so I didn't bother to complain. Having said that, I am willing to give Town Hall another shot-I have a feeling it's a great restaurant and they just had a bad night. I've worked in the restaurant business and things tend to get a little slack right before the kitchen closes for the night. read more

When I tell you I'm proud of Florence and this establishment. The ambience was perfect. The service was great and the food was delicious, however the fish I had was very pricey. I didn't see a price but werent expecting to pay $35. I definitely recommend this place especially if you are in the area. Downtown Florence has a bright future and so does this place. read more

My friends and I were in town for a concert and decided to have dinner here before the show. This is a very well decorated restaurant inside, the open kitchen and open bar are beautiful to look at. It's very clean and inviting. We ordered the deviled egg oysters for an appetizer and the oysters were seasoned perfectly! The egg, however was plain and tasted like it hadn't even been seasoned with salt and pepper. For dinner, we ordered the lamb shank and the short rib. My friend absolutely loved the lamb shank. My only complaint about the short rib was that the entire dish was served to me lukewarm, otherwise it was a good dish. To bad that was that it's last night on the menu. The drinks were just ok, if we ever make it back out there I would just order wine instead. The service was outstanding, very attentive. When my other friend wouldn't eat her shrimp with the heads on, the waiter politely took them back to the kitchen, the chef took the heads off for her. Overall, I would return and definitely order the lamb shank!! read more

The visit to Town Hall was amazing. The front of the house was spot on with seating us promptly. Our waiter was great but had to leave for a family emergency. The manager came and spoke with us about the situation and a new waiter came who was great as well. We had the charcuterie board which was great. My wife ordered a burger and I had the ribeye. Both meals were great. On out 1st visit we sat at the bar and had drinks which made us want to come back for dinner. Great experience!!! read more

We selected this place for our anniversary celebration and we could not have been more pleased! They surprised us with a card and invitation along with champagne at our table and our server Desmond was awesome! The food was simply delicious, our filets were cooked perfectly! Cassidy, the manager was also very attentive and stopped several times to make sure we were pleased. This is our new go to restaurant for sure! All of the service, great food served in a great atmosphere! read more

I've enjoyed this place every time I've been. The truffle fries are good. I've also tried the wedge salad and filet mignon, both were delicious as well. The ambiance is upscale, which is good for special occasions and date nights. I've always had good service as well. But with that usually comes higher prices, so be prepared to pay up. A word from one non-Florence native to others: don't expect it to compare to fine dining in larger cities in SC. But by the Florence standard, this place is top tier. read more

Great place, nice ambiance. Cocktail menu and no alcohol options too. Steak, seafood, veggies are really good but the pork chop Is the star. Charcuterie board excellent. Service excellent. Looked like a great place, but unfortunately wasn't for me. Nothing on the menu appealed to me so I ordered a la cart. Got the shrimp which was good, and the "creamed" corn?? It completely ruined my palate.. almost came back up. It had watermelon & im not sure what else in it, but it definitely wasn't for me and they did comp it. My husband had the duck & said it was good, but not as good as what he expected.. It was our Date night & they gave us a great table & our server was great. read more

Can't say enough good things about this little gem in downtown Florence. Second visit, just for cocktails, but we did sample the shoestring truffle fries and they were awesome. This restaurant was right across the street from my hotel in Florence. Met a work friend for dinner and the menu was small (which I appreciate) and we had the chance to sit at the chefs table!! I live being able to watch them prepare all the dishes. Also, one chef in particular was so kind and even moved some stuff around on his station so that we could see what he was preparing better! I had the hanger steak and it was cooked perfectly as well as very tender! So much food I took half of it back to the hotel! read more

This is our third time visiting and each time the food was excellent. I had the pork chop and my husband had the shrimp Creole. Both dishes were excellent. Wow this place was delicious! We had some unfortunate luck on our travels and ended up getting stranded overnight in Florence which we didn't plan for. After a long day we wanted a nice meal and this place did not disappoint. The charcuterie was an awesome southern take on charcuterie, the cornbread was warm and fluffy, the drinks were yummy. The hanger steak was one of the most flavorful steaks I have ever had in my life - and such a reasonable price!! My husband got the fish special served over grits with chorizo and it was so tasty - creamy grits with the right amount of spice from the chorizo. The desserts were the perfect ending - a perfectly done crème brûlée and lemon blueberry cheesecake. This was one of the best meals I've had in a REALLY long time. Also the service was perfect!! Server was so attentive and the food came out quickly. Could not recommend more! read more

This is a great little restaurant! The inside is very nice and clean. We arrived as a group and the restaurant was about half empty, which was to expected by it being a Wednesday night. The host seemed to not know what to to do to seat a group of 12 without a reservation. Part of our group used there website to make a reservation and the rest decided to go sit at the bar. Our first impression was tainted by the interaction with the host and the whole seating debacle. Once we finally got seated everything started looking better. Our waitress brought our drinks and took our order fairly quick. I had the Surf and Turf which had a skewer of grilled shrimp, a 6oz Filet Mignon, mashed potatoes, and a side of Brussel Sprouts. The potatoes were very tasty, the Brussel sprouts were sautéed and seasoned perfectly. The ordered the steak cooked medium and it was prepared perfect, it was very tender and the seasoning was just right. The waitress was very attentive, she checked on us regularly and kept our glasses full. If you are in the Florence area or just passing through this is great place to relax and enjoy some really good food. I would have given them 5 stars if they had been more welcoming because the food was excellent and the service was great as well. read more

Sometimes after a long day on the road and a first restaurant that didn't want your business, you say Frog it, and find a place that just blows it away. Fabulous cocktails, Oysters and eggs, a menu with many wine options. The main menu has options from Rib Eye to a stunning duck breast. Jamie was an amazing bar tender and server. Speaking of, Florence is doing some of the same things Schenectady did to turn its downtown around. read more

Headed to Florence tonight hoping to try somewhere new and ended up here. The building is beautiful, and the ambience is very welcoming. Staff was pleasant, fast and very accommodating. I had a White White Peach Sangria and my friend had the Red Wine Berry Sangria...they were beautiful and delicious. We each had a wedge salad to start. She loved the marinated tomatoes and pickled red onion, I could have licked the blue cheese dressing off of the plate, and the chunks (yes, chunks) of bacon were to die for. I can't leave out the basket of cornbread they served to get us started. We ate every piece. A little savory, a little sweet, perfect texture. I ordered the Hanger Steak which came out cooked perfectly (medium rare like a steak should be!) and covered with grilled onions. I don't even like onions, and they tasted good to me. But the steak fries...oh, the steak fries. They were little perfect wedges that were perfectly crisp outside, fluffy inside, salted perfectly and drizzled in a truffle aioli. My friend had the Strip Steak with root vegetables and collards which were deliciously smoky with just a little vinegar. I am serious about my collard greens, and these were done right. It was a phenomenal meal with great drinks and service. No clue about dessert because we couldn't handle it by the time we polished off the food. We will definitely be back. We were able to walk in, but I definitely recommend reservations. Pricy but worth it. read more

The Roasted Cauliflower is in my top 10 favorite dishes of all time!!!! Whenever I'm in Florence for work, I always make sure I hit Town Hall for dinner. In my opinion, it's the best restaurant in Downtown Florence in terms of food quality, service, and atmosphere. If you want to go more casual, the burger stack is one of the best burgers that I've had anywhere. They usually have a couple of good craft beer options as well such as the local Pixels IPA from Seminar Brewing. Great service and be sure to check out the roof top bar. read more

Town Hall Restaurant: Concerns: The quality of this restaurant has degraded since it first opened. I had the Surf and Turf. I ordered it because it was so impressive the first time I ordered it. The fillet mignon looked like a piece of beef that had been beaten with a meat tenderizer tool. I ordered it to be cooked Medium. It was served between medium rare and rare. This was not a filet mignon. Cutting corners to cut cost will not maintain your loyal customer base. The shrimp skewer was served cold and limp. Shrimp should be served hot and have a firm texture. I simply could not eat them. Greeters should demonstrate confidence and cheerfulness. The greeter last night (February 16, 2019) did not say any of the following: Good evening, welcome to Town Hall, how many at your table? He never greeted us. He never spoke a word. He simply fumbled with the computer, and walked us to our table. A bizarre intro to an upscale restaurant. Please offer him soft skills training if you intend to keep him as the first person your customers will have to engage. Positive: 1)restaurant manager was pleasant when he came to our table. 2)serving staff knew the menu. read more

Best short ribs in town! Everything on the menu is great! Service is always perfect. Decent wine list.

Hidden gem. Here on business and I loathe chain restaurants, so I tried one of the only 4+ star restaurants in the area. Don't pass on the cornbread. Holy Lord. I don't know if it's the bread or the butter, but there's crack in there somewhere. I'm sure of it. I ordered the filet - probably one of the best I've ever had. Delicious sides included mashed potatoes and broccolini, which was incredibly tasty - it almost hinted of a true grilled, light smokey flavor. The venue itself is beautiful. Shiny wood tables, open bright windows, modern-rustic (I totally made that term up but it fits). The music is super chill. A little hipster but in a good way - and not enough to make you eye roll. I ordered their red blend and it was super yummy. Their cocktails looked pretty spectacular though. Beignets. For dessert. Only disappointed that the chocolate chess pie that was listed online wasn't available - note: like any good restaurant, their menu is seasonal and changes. Didn't know chocolate had a season, but it's cool. The beignets were AMAZEBALLS and I had enough to share (Dont worry, i didn't). I eat early (37 going on 78) and dined on Wednesday so I was seated immediately and my food came remarkably quickly. My *only* complaint would be the inexperience of my waiter, who mentioned that he was new. He wasn't sure what I meant when I ordered the Red Blend on the menu, asking again if I wanted the Cab or Pinot... but he apologized quickly enough and was super friendly. A for effort for sure. I would have never guessed Florence had a spot like this. This little area will be beautiful and a hot spot soon, mark my words. Florence Italy is one of my favorite cities and this could be a sister and not just for the namesake. Eat here. Should I have just said that to begin with? read more

I would love to give this place 10 stars. We pulled off I95 at exit 160A looking to eat, all restaurants off exit had an hour 1/2 wait, so we looked up restaurants in the area and Town Hall popped up, we weren't sure but when we drove 11 minutes, we found parking and went in, we sat at the bar, since we didn't have reservations. Well it was the best meal we ever ate. We order calamari and burgers. OH MY GOD the most tastiest food ever. Sam behind the bar was so welcoming and such a delight to talk with!
