One of the least profess business I've ever been to. They bullied my pregnant girlfriend into paying for an incomplete service. She brought the car to have it realigned and they said they could not do it. We miss placed the receipt and instead of looking up (they knew which car and we had the other paperwork) and giving us a refund they got into an argument with me about how they deserve compensation for the work they did. They actually made one of the alignments worse. The car didn't feel better at all. Beware the employe name jeff as well he has a terrible attitude as well as the store manage. read more

Jonathan quickly got me into the queue for service. It was a morning when there were drop-in and scheduled customers. My wait on my appointment was about 20-30 minutes longer than expected, but the shop was busy. By using some sort of package pricing for balancing 4 wheels, I saved money on alignment, too. Only 1 person was genuinely helpful. I was there for 3-4 hours when my appointment was at 9:30. 1 worker was completely disrespectful and said I wasn't there that long. The boss claimed nobody told him what was going on yet dismissed me getting a discount from the 1 helpful person. My car still shakes yet they claimed it would be fixed when I paid a total of $500. read more

When I purchased new tires from them they charged me $30 for TOMS Valve: Sensor Reconditioning. Three months later a sensor died. I expected they would replace it for free as they had just "reconditioned it". No, they say reconditioning the sensor has nothing to do with the sensor; it just means replacing the valve or valve parts. I try to avoid using Town Fair, I will try harder to avoid them. read more

I used to be a regular until they broke a bolt off and then told me to try not to hit to many potholes. Needless to say something as easy as changing my tires turned into me having to go to Toyota. "Discount" Tire? I was charged more than $64. per tire above what ANYONE was charging- and she told me that was their sale price. She told me it would be about an hour wait for the alignment, and it was 2.5 hours; only to discover the front right tire was my old front right tire. She told me she "didn't know." I've had decent experiences buying tires from town fair over the years though it can be hard to get someone to pick up the phone. But last time I went for an alignment they fed me a bunch of nonsense about the life of my tires and told me they wouldn't pass inspection. Untrue. Did a lousy job, didn't even inflate tire that had a pressure sensor triggered. Won't go back. read more

New store opened in Greenfield, mass. Thought I would try. Terrible service. Bought two trailer tires. Price was good but add on prices were ridiculous. 17.50 to balance each tire. Told them not to as just trailer tires. Then 7.50 each for sensor re set, on trailer tires with no sensor! Also were not ready when promised, took three days. And they tried to give them to me when never balanced! Never go back. read more

Went in with a brand new flat tire (purchased the day before at a different town fair). They patched it and said it'll "last the lifetime" of the tire. This location was busy and the folks working there were rude as hell. 3 weeks later, same tire goes flat again and I take it to another location. Went in for a leak in a front tire and was fixed within an hour (they even repaired a tire for my John Deere trailer..installed a valve no charge). Pleasant waiting area and clean rest room too ! This place blamed a broken bolt during their tire replacement on the the AAA technician who had put the spare tire on, insisting AAA cross threaded the nut. The technician who replaced it was part of AAA's fleet, who use wrenches instead of pneumatic tools. More cross threads happen because of pneumatic tools. The pointed the finger at AAA but refused to put what they were saying in writing, which is the only thing that would make AAA consider footing the cost of replacing the bolt. I found Town Fair Tire to be completely untrustworthy, unwilling to write down what they were telling us, and passing the bill by pointing fingers. Take your business to someone reliable, or keep this in mind when they tell you the same thing. read more

I needed a flat repair. It took 15 minutes to even be acknowledged as I waited right in front of two cashiers. Finally did my paperwork and they whisked away my tire saying they'd call when ready. It was 830a.m. No call by the end of the day. Tried to call them, sent to voicemail and voice mailbox was full. The following morning I tried calling several times. Same thing - voice mail full. So I drove over there. They couldn't find my tire, but finally did. Said I'd have to wait 2 hours for them to load it on. Seriously?! It takes 5 minutes. Too bad they said. Not able to wait 2 hours for a 5 minute service, I changed my own tire - in their parking lot in front of the store. Not one employee helped me. I'm a 64 year old woman. TERRIBLE SERVICE. I'll never go back there. And I paid $13 for the privilege - a supposed "free" service. No refund for doing the work myself. read more

I purchased 4 tires less than a year ago and had a bubble on the side wall. I was told it would cost $357 to replace the tire and do a front end alignment. I purchased the tire on the internet and Town Fair Tire refused to change it for me. I got the same tire for 20% less than was quoted at Town Fair Tire and it came with road protection which Town Fair Tire didn't. Save money and get road protection with internet purchasing. Tires will be delivered to garages like Pep Boys who will install them for $19.95 a tire. I don't like shopping but like it less than paying a lot more for a product and service. read more

Went into Town Fair looking to get new tires for my truck. We do occasionally end up off-road during certain hunting trips and what not. Went here to get my tires rotated. I bought 2 tires from them about a month ago and they didn't rotate them then, causing me to return. When I first went in, service was fine; I was taken right away. I was waiting in the seated waiting area where there is a tv of the workers working on your car. I watched the entire time and not ONE of my tires were removed. So when I saw it pulling out of the garage I was nervous if something had gone wrong and they couldn't do the rotation. To my surprise, they called my name and handed me my keys. Now, I don't like to cause a stink about things but I watched the tv the whole time and knew the service I had asked for wasn't done. So I politely told the guy at the counter I don't believe my tires were rotated. He said while looking at he invoice "nope, I have two of my employees signature on this invoice that they did it". I just grabbed my keys and walked out. I will NEVER return. Even though tire rotation is free., just a waste of time. I would rather pay to have someone actually do it. Just hope this helps out a few other people. read more

I have been going to different Town Fair Tire stores for years - I have always had a great experience. There is no worse store than Northampton. On my first visit, the employee (after getting into a disagreement with another customer) said he would match the price on a tire of a competitor, but wanted to add $10 per tire. He also explained that the free services such as the front end alignment, mounting and balancing, were not applicable because of the tire match promotion. I called corporate and they advised the employees actions were not correct and set me up for the alignment at a different store. On my next visit about a month later, I purchased 4 tires, again with price match, and I was offered the factory recommended 4 wheel alignment which I declined. When my second car was ready, the Manager of the store said again that the free front wheel alignment was not included and that I had declined it entirely. I produced my e-mail receipt and the Manager, Paul, insinuated that I fabricated it, saying "People fabricate documents all the time for free stuff." He then told me to "call my buddies at corporate" after showing him the Town Fair Tire website that shows the list of free services included, namely the front end alignment. I will never go back to this store and suggest everyone avoid it at all costs. Town Fair Tire is known for the customer service, but these guys are awful. Simply crooks. read more

I go here every turn of the season. Never have an issue. the guys all work their hardest to deal with the inevitable rush that seasonal changes make in their industry. They always are patient and try to explain how long things are going to take. The cost of tire work is reasonable compared to other places I've been to. I had a wonderful experience here, been coming here since I moved into town and I've never had a bad experience. I had to get new tires and 2 people by the names of Sammy and Tarah helped me out, they were great! After paying for my tires I started browsing the rims and discussed with Tarah on wanting to get new rims, they worked with me on finding the best price and were very accommodating! We bought all 5 tires for our car from the Northampton shop back in 2013. I couldn't find the receipt, but when I went in to ask to have the tires rotated, they said that didn't matter. They politely and efficiently honored their lifetime guarantee and in 20 minutes the whole thing was done at no cost. Happy customer here. read more

Stay away from this place,I went in to have a flat tire fixed as I ran over a nail the big bald guy at the counter said he'd have to take a look so without even looking at the tire said he couldn't fix it and I'd have to buy a new one for over 100$ I just laughed and drove off and left him standing there and went somewhere else that took my car in fixed within a half hour I was there. Used to buy all tires here now I'll never step foot here their a bunch of rip off artist the only reason they got 1 star is because it wouldn't let me give them 0 STAY FAR AWAY from here much more professional tire companies in town that are not there to screw you read more

They said they couldn't get the tires off they said whoever put them on last tightened too tight not realizing they put them on, I went across the street to Firestone and they had all four tires off in fifteen minutes. Especially since I have since called three aother places, all of who will do it. But the point is - the guy at Town Fair Tire laughed at me when I asked. I've been here for 3 sets of tires over about 7 years and feel that service is good and they stand behind their work. I've also always been able to just come in with a hole in a tire or something sticking out of it and they've taken care of it, free of charge. They dont really haggle on tire prices unless you really push it. you need to go around to the other places (one across the street and one about a mile down the road) and price things out first. The competition around is high so you wont loose your shirt but it still automotive so do your research! All in all its a tire place nothing special and you need to know that your going to spend about $500 when its all done. I'd recommend coming here. read more

Came in with a problem with one of my tires, they found and nail in it and charged me $10 to get it patched up. Was taken care of by Ryan and got in and out within 30mins, if I went to Firestone I would've had to pay $60 just for them to look at it. Definitely recommend!!! Thank you!!! read more
