I came out of the supermarket today and a very nice woman said your tire looks low on air. I panicked and went to the nearest tire shop on King street to get air and to inspect tire. The man said you need a new tire lets get you set up. I said you didn't even diagnose what was wrong with tire, you just automatically went to get money out of me. I said there is only one place I can get an honest opinion and that is Duffy Tire. They are Northampton's first tire company established over 50 years ago before the big chains came in with there slick advertising to lure you in with there low prices. Well the old saying still stands ,you get what you pay for.Jim Duffy has been working for his father since he was 9 years old.Nobody knows more about tires than Jim Duffy.Jim did a full inspection on the tire and said you must of hit one of those sewer holes raised above the road during construction on Prospect street and popped the seal. I'll take care of that real quick. Tire has been good ever since. I asked what do I owe you, he said nothing, I take care of my long term loyal customers. I'll know you'll be back. It's the free benefits that Jim Duffy gives his customers that in the long term makes him really the lowest price, most honest tire service company in Northampton. So before you jump at the slick gimmicks the others offer, I say go with the best and the Hell with the rest.So after your happy and satisfied please leave a positive Google review for Jim. The more positive reviews he gets the more business he will get. Thank you for your cooperation loyal customers. Thank God for Jim Duffy's Honesty and Integrity and Trustworthiness. read more

I lived here for 30 years and could've kicked myself when I finally came to Duffy's 5 years ago. I know I'm getting the truth and that my best interests are being served. This had never been the case at prior tire shops in town. read more

The best place for tires and alignments in Western Massachusetts. Probably even further! Will only buy my tires there. And Jim? An icon! The best. Hope to see you bright and early tomorrow, Jim! Happy new year, too! read more

All sorts of good "f" words to describe Duffy Tires -- friendly, fair, fast, and just plain f-ing fabulous! I'm so happy to be in a town with such a great independent tire store. I would never go anywhere else. read more

Super helpful & professional service today diagnosing & repairing a slow leak!

My brother recommended Duffy after 20 years of good service. I called ahead, was given a good time to arrive and was greeted with friendly, professional customer service. After checking my tires, three quotes were given and I chose the "top of the line" to match my existing tires. The quote was fair and reasonable. I was pleasantly surprised that for two new tires and disposal of two old tires, the cost was $60.00 less than Costco! Highly Recommend! Duffy Tire Service is very busy due to their good reputation in Northampton. It is best to call ahead to see when they can help you rather than waiting until the last minute and being disappointed. You may need your snow tires put on "right now" but the people who called to make an appointment will be seen first. read more

I went to Duffy's for new tires after calling around to other chain and local shops in the area. Not only were the tires I got at Duffy's top of the line, but the whole service was $200 cheaper than everywhere else I looked. Jr. put the tires on in 15 minutes on a next-day appointment. I received nothing less than excellent, honest, and friendly customer service, and I'd recommend Duffy Tire Service to anyone. read more

Needed a flat tire fixed and they took me right away. Very friendly, accommodating and nice. I will go to them again.

I was visiting Northampton, MA and with the temperature drop overnight I found my tire pressure light on when I went to get coffee in the morning. It was raining and cold and my portable air compressor wasn't working properly. I pulled into Duffy's and I was promptly greeted by a very kind gentleman. I was in and out within 5 minutes. I am so thankful for the quick service to inflate my tires! Thank you! read more

Duffy Tire Service - Front of business - Tires Near Me - Northampton, Massachusetts

Duffy Tire is the absolute best and I wont go anywhere else! I ended up coming here because I was tired of Pete's being rude whenever I called to try and make an appointment. Best decision I ever made. Everyone is extremely nice and you can tell they care about their customers. They treat you with respect and wont try and talk you into anything you don't need. I can't stress enough how great this business is. read more

The company is a jewel and the people are terrific. Family-owned, friendly, and excellent knowledge right down to explaining today how to reset my tire pressure light on the ever- confusing computer in my car! Highly recommend!! Will not go anywhere else ever. read more

I have never been afraid in a car related shop in fact most of the time dealing with service men, and they are always men, is pleasant. I left Duffy tire in a hurry afraid that the owner was going to hit me. I am five feet tall, 125 lbs and sitting in a chair. This giant man squatted down to be in my face raised his voice and opened his arms it doesn't matter if he was right, as he may have been. The point is I am still shaking. He screamed in my face and physically intimidated me. Unless things go his way expect the same. At least if you are a petite female. read more

Great service and excellent prices. Definitely customer minded, and does good work.

They don't make them like this any more. Free rotation for as long as you have the tires you buy here, and it takes them literally under 5 minutes to do. The garage is piled to overflowing with tires, and it does look old and grungy, but man, they know their business. A straight, honest, local tire shop. Ask them for a quote. read more

I stopped in with a tire with sidewall damage, and wanted to get it fixed rather than risk a blowout on the freeway on my way home. The people there were very friendly and I was out the door with a replacement tire at a very reasonable price within 40 minutes or so, despite there being a few other people ahead of me. read more

I have been going here for over 30 years. When I had a car I could buy 2 sneakers every 2 years and they would charge me less than $200 and swap them around (balance) for free. Now I have a highlander and all need to be replaced at the same time but they still give me the best price and save the best tire for my spare (not a donut). I love this family and so glad to see the dad healthy and the family so happy! Local is better! I had a bump in a tire and went to a different place because it was close to work, they wouldn't fix tried to sell me a $235 tire brought it to Duffy and they fixed the tire for $12. Don't want to be over charged because your female? This is the place to be respected. Don't worry about the look of the place, historical committee won't let them change it (hysterical committee). read more

I've only been there once but had a great experience. Excellent customer service and if I have car issues while I'm in the area I would certainly go back to them. Went in to get a tire replaced but I was then informed that instead of replacing it, it could be fixed. Tire works beautifully. read more

I first went to Duffy Tire more than ten years ago on a recommendation after I develpoed a flat tire, and they have never disappointed me. Unfailingly friendly and helpful, fair prices, wise advice, and free rotations if you buy the tires there. I moved from MA to VT more than a year ago but after a disappointing experience at another local tire place here in the last month with some winter tires, I'm going to be going back to Duffy's in the spring for my next set of summer tires, even though it's more than an hour away--they're that good. read more

In reference to the post by mary jane d, i saw the entire thing and you were WAY out of line! This is all over a phone call!?! COME ON..The things you are posting are FALSE and you should get your story straight before you post such horrible and malicious things! You should type all the of nasty things you said to start this whole incident, instead of making them look like the bad guys because your in the wrong NOT them! There is ALWAYS two sides to every story lady! There is NO WAY they have been in buisness for over 50 years by treating people they way you claim them to be!!! AND what does the incident at silk city that jim duffy was ACCUSED of have ANYTHING to do with what your talking about? NOTHING..They are GREAT guys and anybody in the area will tell you that! read more
