It was a bit of a wait, but it just speaks to the time and patience Dr. Zamora takes with her patients. And then Judy! After I filled in my intake information, she explained the purpose of every machine used throughout the eye exam. I even got to see some pictures taken of the back of my eye (first time ever seeing that after over 25 years of wearing glasses!). After the exam she took my existing eyeglasses to pull the existing prescription. She courteously tightened and cleaned them too!! Dr.Zamora then proceeds to complete the exam and explains every step of the way as she assesses my eyes. She's very personable so I felt comfortable sharing recent eye history and issues I've been experiencing with vision and wearing contact lenses. She's very knowledgeable too! I've been seeing Dr. Chang for about 7 years now, great doctor always a good experience…read more My contact lens prescription expired 3 months ago (apparently they only are good for one year) and I just wanted to reorder another box until my next annual appointment in a few months. I looked up that sometimes they can do a courtesy extension of the prescription if your vision has been stable and have no issues. I asked for such an extension but was told multiple times I would have to get another contact lens exam for $160 (out of pocket) in addition to the cost of the lenses. I think that as a long time patient they should be able to accommodate such an easy request, since I would be getting my annual exam soon again anyway. It's not easy to schedule an unnecessary exam especially with a busy schedule, just to get a box of contacts. Bottom line loyalty doesn't seem to count here and maybe it's time to switch optometrists.

I was seen by Dr. Steven Lee instead. The visit was great.. Absolutely didn't have to wait a long time. It's been awhile since I last checked out my eyes. Dr. Lee took his time assessing the concerns and issues I had. It was very easy to talk to Dr.Lee . He was patient, I did not feel rushed at all. Compare to all the visits I have had with other locations, all the doctors would rush and I would be done being seen by a doctor within 10 mins while the wait with appointments would take 30 minutes. I highly recommend coming here, time is money. The full appointment took 50 minutes with less than 1 minute wait to be pre-test screening and assessed by a doctor.

That's late. I was told before my exam that my frame size could be accommodated. It could not. No amount of "above and beyond" was needed or would have changed the bad information from the beginning. The shop can't accommodate wide frames. The business owner did offer a free pair of frames (that would not fit), by way of apology. I do not want free things, but thanks for the sentiment. Original post: Dr. Luo was 15 minutes late to her 1st appointment of the day with no apology or even mention. While waiting for my exam, I told the front desk that I needed large frames and asked which brands to look at. I was told that two brands in stock would accommodate me, and that they could order anything else. After the exam, it turns out they do not have a pair of frames that will fit me. They did encourage me many times to get a smaller pair with the hope that the springs would stretch enough. Would still be too small. Since that was certainly not going to be a viable option, I asked for copies of the written prescriptions for reading, computer, and distance, to be filled elsewhere, only to be told that I already had them, and that I misunderstood when Dr. Luo told me she would save distance scripts to their system and that they had printed them out in tandem to save paper. That's not a misunderstanding. That's a miscommunication. All around, poor place.

I've noticed so far that my eyes are not as dry or scratchy feeling when wearing contacts. Additionally, she checked in with me regarding my new contact lens and also offered me another sample of contacts to try for a month so I can determine which new contact lens I can purchase. The receptionist took into consideration my father's age and made sure he would be given extra time. As he was doing the tests, the technician was very patient and caring. It took awhile for my dad to understand what he needed to do and a few times the tests had to be redone. At one point they even had to call the doctor to come assist. Through it all, they were extremely understanding and patient. This was exactly the type of office that I was looking to take my elderly dad to.
