Town insulation sealed our attic, moved our access location, replaced two bathroom fans and did loose fill insulation, and added baffles to fix ventilation issues immediately after a new roof was put on. Terrible. Eric King came out and took my information in December for EmpowerNY. Never returned my phone calls. The office was unhelpful. Finally I called NYSERDA today and found out my application was never submitted! I called the office and the woman who answered the phone was completely blase about the whole thing. They wasted my time and my money. I really needed insulation THIS winter, not next winter! Had I known they dropped the ball I could have gotten another contractor. read more

Had them come out to perform a home energy audit. An employee came to my home and preformed a number of tests that they outlined online to asses my house. Unfortunately getting into contact with anyone who knows anything about you seems to be nearly impossible with this company. I was told that I would be called with the results of my home energy audit in a month or so after our initial meeting. Instead I waited almost 2 months with no call. When I did call it was amazing how hard it turned out to be to get any information about my audit or to talk to anyone who would. Nobody would call me back for weeks at a time. The truth finally came out that my report had been lost but was now found. Great news... A follow up appointment was scheduled at my home to go over the report but when the individual showed up he acted as if he had not reviewed my information at all before coming out to my house. I had to show him around my property yet again. His resolution was that he would have to talk with the original inspector and come up with the plan that should have been produced to me that day? Over the last 5 months or so I have called numerous times trying to get an update on my home energy audit. I have talked to the "receptionist" and left messages with her as well as with the individual who came out to meet with me on that second occasion but I have never received any callback or explanation as to what is going on with my audit. I dont know whether to blame this whole thing on employee incompetence or lack of caring about customers like me but it truly has been a frustrating and wasteful experience. I originally called Town because i want my rim joists sealed I had planned on paying for this with cash money J.K. came and looked then suggested i apply for NYSERDA, they finally sent mew an application which i filled out and hand delivered in early september to the office manager J who said he would give it to A. Supposedly it takes no more than a month to be approved or not. So I called in October because i had heard nothing and was given the phone number for E who they say is the only one who handles this i called him 7 times on 7 different days at 7 different times, his voice mail is all i get so i left 7 different messages all requesting a call back which he will do as soon as possible and that seems to be never. All I wanted was the status of my application, I didn't even want a commitment for work to get done cuz i know this is a busy time. I wanted to just pay to get what I wanted done, but now even if i pay to get the work done i won't be paying them. This is a terrible way to do business. If they had lost my application and just told me that i would have been a whole lot happier than I ended up, but they didn't even bother communicating that or anything else. These type of "professional contractors" are a dime a dozen. I posted a full review about like this one on google but it seems i was "cancelled" because it wasn't positive. So my experience with them = a whole lot of aggravation for nothing. read more
