Amazing company! Perfect customer service! With poor judgment I gave someone a ride home from the bar, my keys went missing. Being in a horrible area and situation late at night, I called tow kings and the operator was beyond helpful. I had no idea where I had ended up dropping off this rascal and she guided me to help give a her my ex Exact location. While on the phone, the person I mistakenly gave a ride home to and his friends became belligerent and extremely offensive to this amazing operator. Her diligence and patient composer made the difference in a deescalating a very likely dangerous situation of me needing to use self defense to get to safely , with a calm and reinsuring presence she kept me composed. While checking in every few minutes to ensure I was ok., as the tow driver was in route, my doors finally unlocked and I found my key, in the process Kaitlyn from dispatch called to check on me and I let her know I was ok and on my way home. She immediately gave a refund even though her tow truck driver had already driven 20 minutes and was seconds from arriving. What could have been a terrible life altering night turned out with me getting home safe, I am so thankful and happy that Kaitlyn answered my prayers. She's an incredible communications operator. I hope to one day meet and shake her hand for an extreme job well done. It's amazing how much of a difference you can make by being great at your job and empathetic to others. As far as Kailyn and Tow King , I am so thankful and blessed with your help and compassion. The word needs businesses and people like you on the front lines to make a genuine change in our lives.. My car wouldn't start in front of work late at night. I called tow king and got an estimate on the phone. They sent me a link to pay the agreed amount and after that the tow truck operator came. He safely towed me to the repair shop I used and got me to my parents so I could borrow their car. Everything worked out smoothly. They provided excellent service and I would use them again. I got arrested, they towed my car with a dolly, just so everyone knows if they show up to tow your rear wheel drive car and its not a flatbed truck, they will be using your seatbelt to secure the steering wheel, be sure to have pictures before they do this as they do not take pictures of the insides of cars and they will not own up to their mistakes. A seatbelt is not the proper/professional way to secure a vehicle. The plastics covering my seatbelt are broken and the seatbelt belt no longer retracts. If requesting a tow for a rear wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle ask for a flatbed for less chances of damage. They claim theres no way they could've broke it, the lady I spoke to was trying to dismiss what I was asking before she even got any details to the situation, she said "no one was inside the vehicle we never go inside the vehicles" but who they call the manager states they have been doing the seatbelt thing for decades so which is it? She also states "we take pictures of everything" then they cannot provide pictures when asked. It's only $150 in parts they took $300 from me to get it out, was towed not very far. Very unprofessional business how can you claim to be the king and not have the basic tools to hold a steering wheel in place for transportation. read more

If I could give a negative, I would. On Tuesday, tge 21st of this month I was hauling a horse trailor with my horse. It fishtailed and hit the guardrail. My horse died on the scene in the trailor. The police called for 1 tow truck to get the trailor. After a long time Tow Kings came but they sent 2 TRUCKS AND TRAILORS APPARENTLY, clerical error im sure, but they charged me, thet took my trailor and my dead horse to Waco and my friend went the next day to get it. I did not expect to write a positive review of any towing company but here it is. Had to have my wife's Jeep towed to Allen Samuels this morning. Called Tow King and the dispatcher was professional and very courteous. She indicated a truck would be able to meet me in 15 minutes. The truck showed up exactly on time. I wish I had noticed the driver's name but he was highly professional and again, courteous and friendly. He had my car in tow in less than 10 minutes. Upon dropping it off at the dealer I tried to give him a tip but he refused. I mentioned to the dealer's Service Manager how good Tow King was and he said that is why they use them. By the way, the charge for towing was very reasonable - much less than I expected. I hope I don't have to call for a tow again anytime soon but if I do I will definitely be calling Tow King. read more

Thanks to Tow King, I was able to get down the road late at night and get back to Houston from Dallas. I flew in to Dallas and had a long, late-night drive ahead of me. I was a little ways out of Waco when I hit some metal object in the road, causing the splash guard under my front bumper to separate and drag. I tried to pull it off myself, but 5.5 months pregnant changes things a little. :) I called Tow King, and between the man who answered the phone and Steve Atwell, the man who drove out to meet and help me, they got the job done. Steve got under the car and used a knife to fully separate the splash guard and then he checked for leaks and looked at my tires. I am so thankful for the good people at Tow King. It has been a few years since I've dealt with this horrendous company but after moving back into town I felt like I should leave my review. While I understand that this company is going to rustle feathers by having contracts with schools to tow students cars for profits, that isn't solely their fault. What is their fault is terrible service, both as a towing service, and with customer support. During my time at the local college, my truck got towed. It happens. What shouldn't happen is having the back end of my truck smashed in because their tow operators let the truck slip off the back of the rig and roll into a stationary vehicle. Then, the front office woman, who started off all forms of communication aggressively and heated, tries to blame me for their lack of workmanship, saying that it's my fault that the truck got towed, so it was my fault they damaged it. It took several calls to get any sort of insurance information from them after the initial hours of dealing with these extortion bandits in the guise of a reputable business. After paying for my damaged truck, I then had to get my insurance involved because this "business" couldn't be professional enough to handle the problem their driver caused, and I had enough of dealing with the she-devil that would answer the phone when ever I called to get the information. It took months to get this situation resolved. I would recommend any tow company but this one in the central Texas/Waco area unless you enjoy the metaphorical feeling of having teeth pulled every time an interaction has to occur with these folks. read more

They suck, after we paid our bill they came out and tried to get more money from us. One of the guys with us made a remark to one of them, they went back inside their office. And then came back and said only one of us can go in, to fix the trailer and pull it out. Then one of them walked up to the guy that made the remark to him and said if he wasn't at work he would beat his ass. So to Sum it up, they tried to extort money from us and they threaten us. This review is long overdue! A couple years ago, when I was 19 and driving back to Austin from my summer internship in Dallas, my truck broke down outside of Waco. My family lives 10 hours away, and I'd never really dealt with being stuck on the side of the road before. It was also almost 6pm, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find someone to help before everything closed. I called Tow King, and Steve, who is the BEST, came to pick me and my truck up. I was expecting to just get dumped at a car repair place and spend the night in my truck to get it fixed in the morning, but Steve was kind enough to drop my truck off and then drop me off at a nearby hotel. He even came in and spoke to the hotel clerk to make sure I was all set, since I'd never gotten a hotel room on my own. Then he insisted on giving me a free ride back to the car repair place the next morning. When we got there, it turned out that that car place didn't have the necessary technician coming in that day (Saturday) so they wouldn't be able to help me. So he towed my truck for free to a different car repair place, where my truck was repaired. Based on my experience and the other reviews I see here, it definitely seems that Steve and his coworkers really care about their customers, and I would definitely recommend calling Tow King if you are in need of a tow. I really can't say enough about how awesome this company is! I was involved in a 7 car wreck on my way home Sunday, first accident ever, and was a mess. I was so happy to be ok but had no clue how to handle my car being towed, etc. Tow King was there with 3 trucks and ended up being more helpful than the cops on the scene. They waited for me to verify I could use them through insurance and then took myself, my friend, and the girl in the wreck behind us to there office where my husband was meeting us. The wreck happened in Lorena and I live in Fort Worth. That is an expensive tow! I honestly didn't know how much was in my account and had to pay up front since insurance pays afterwards. They discounted the tow some because I was a wreck and was worried my card wouldn't work. They lost money trying to help me out in a bad situation! Talk about kindness! They have a waiting area at the office with table, chairs, tv, bathroom, etc that we were able to wait in which was such a nice addition. And an office dog which made my day :) It was the first time we could all relax after the accident. Almost as soon as they dropped us off they were called out again. These guys work hard and deserve to be recognized. Not only for their hard work but for being kind souls and helping restore faith in humanity!
