What an amazing find while visiting my Son and his family. We were running some errands and decided to stop and check this bakery out. They were celebrating their grand opening. It's a nice size establishment and offers a large selection of baked goods. They also have a nice selection of beverages. I enjoyed a lavender latte with oat milk which was delicious. Everyone was nice and friendly while taking our order and offering their assistance. The bakery had a nice vibe going on. It offers plenty of seating for you to stop by for awhile and enjoy your choices with a friend or significant other. I definitely recommend this place for those that are lucky enough to live close by.

The food and ambiance was good. The cashiers had good customer service. Everything I tried was tasty and fresh. Definitely try the crookie! Glad to have another korean-french bakery in the neighborhood.

Yeah it's a chain, but the quality is definitely outstanding. Korean influenced French pastries and very well crafted coffee drinks.

We liked everything we picked out: Cranberry cream cheese bread - fav Almond croissant - 2nd favorite, A bit like amaretto Yuzu pie Carmel apple pie Mushroom galette - savory tie Croque monsieur - savory tie Also grabbed a butter pecan latte. Reminded me of Paris baguette at Korean mall. Prices were reasonable.

I was in the Jenkintown area for work and turned to Yelp to find a local lunch spot--that's when I…read morediscovered Welcome Home Café, and wow, what a powerful little café it turned out to be. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by one of the owners. It's a husband-and-wife team, which always earns bonus points in my book. I was promptly seated, given a menu, and immediately overwhelmed--in the best way--because everything sounded amazing. I ended up asking the owner for help deciding, and I'm so glad I did. I chose the chicken and dumpling soup (they rotate specialty soups weekly) and a loaded sweet potato. The soup was incredibly flavorful--slightly saltier than my personal preference, but thankfully I tasted it before adding anything. The thyme flavor really stood out and made the dish comforting and delicious. I'd absolutely recommend it if it's available when you visit. The loaded sweet potato was topped with jerk chicken, one of my favorite seasonings. You can adjust the heat, and I went with how it comes--very hot! I loved it. Spicy, bold, and full of flavor, with the sweet potato cooked to perfection. They also offer unsweetened, fresh-brewed iced tea with free refills, which is always a huge plus for me. The café itself is small, but while I was there, there was a steady flow of people coming and going--it's clearly a popular hometown spot. Everything on the menu looked fantastic, so I'll definitely be making a return trip to try something new. They serve both breakfast and lunch, and they also offer catering, which makes this spot even more appealing whether you're stopping in for a quick meal or looking to feed a group. If you're in Jenkintown, I highly recommend stopping by Welcome Home Café. You won't regret it.

There's a hidden gem in Elkins Park - a small bakery near the SEPTA station. I've been there…read moreseveral times and it's been a wonderful experience each time. We went there this morning to pick up a raisin challah - we were making French Toast! The challah is excellent - rich, soft and sweet, it has a tender, delicious taste. The raisins added an extra touch of sweetness to the French Toast. Then there are the numerous pastries and cookies. We decided to get a few Hamentashen (chocolate and poppy), a raspberry croissant, a chocolate and a raspberry rugelach, and the most amazing looking Sticky Bun. I'll start with the Sticky Bun. It was exceptional; a soft, fluffy, and slightly chewy dough - challah like, but denser. It was laced with a sticky, caramelized glaze, studded with raisins and walnuts. It was 'melt in your mouth delicious', and a must try. Next up - the raspberry croissant. This is not your typical croissant - I'm used to the plain, or chocolate - I can't recall having a raspberry croissant before. It's one of the best I've had. It combines a flaky buttery croissant with a sweet, tart raspberry filling. The Hamentashen were good - the chocolate was better than the poppyseed - as the later needed much more Mohn (poppyseed paste). The rugelach was good; the raspberry was too sticky, but the chocolate was fine. If you're near Elkins Park, and you haven't tried Rolings Bakery, it's time you did!
