Like most people, I want someone to work on my house who does good work at a fair price. David and his crew have done 3 separate projects at our house in the last 10 years including: a full bathroom remodel, full kitchen remodel, and a garden hardscape project with an arbor, retaining walls, and a concrete patio. We've been happy with all three projects and highly recommend his services.
David is very easy to work with and quickly (and patiently) responded to all of our communications (email, text, phone calls, VMs) and he proactively reached out to let us know the upcoming work schedule or other important things we needed to discuss so we were ready. For example, by reminding us the painter was coming a week ahead of time, we made sure we had our paint choices selected in order to stay on schedule.
All of his team members/subcontractors were courteous, competent, and on-time. They were respectful of our home and front yard and one of the best things was the fact that they clean up the areas they've been working on at the end of each day.
On all of our projects, the scheduling of subcontractors was excellent. During the 2020 shelter-in-place order, the City allowed us to continue work on our kitchen and David kept a steady stream of tradespeople working on it each day so progress remained steady without interruption and greatly reduced our inconvenience. This was no small thing as we were negotiating a remote school and work situation from home. We've been pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail on all of our projects with David.
Any time we asked for a change or addition to the original scope, we discussed our intended change with David and he made sure he, and we, understood the ramifications of the change and what the cost and schedule impact would be. He only moved forward once he received our approval on any changes. David handled all of our changes patiently and professionally.
David also provided input at many steps, from design through construction, and always did so in the most unobtrusive way. He listened patiently while we explained what our design intent was to make sure he understood and then offered suggestions. read more
