The fish was horrible. It should be taken off the menu that's how horrible it is. The wings I give a 3.5

Clay's was a really great spot to catch up with some friends and get some quick but good food…read more The interior is a little small and caused long waits on a Friday night, but once you're seated the TVs are great and the food is really tasty. I had the cheesesteak while my friends had the wings and everyone's food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal. Another highlight is how well priced Clay's is and can really compete on price with lesser quality fast food places as my cheesesteak with fries was just $11. I think Clay's should definitely be considered as a great place to catch a game with some friends!

4.5 Having had more…read morethan my fair share of dusty food and forced conversation, I texted my friend to beg him to rescue me from my work function and to find a place where we could get a drink. 'I'll do you one better,' he said. 'Say less,' I thought. Being that my buddy knows his way around food, drink and Atlanta (ITP and OTP), I knew I was in good hands. Turns out, we didn't have far to travel. As I was discovering, when in the Atlanta metro, it behooves you to eat as many wings as humanly possible. I'd already had my yearly physical so I was all in. Turns out that Clay's was a well-know, well-trod wings destination so I was psyched for the eating ahead of me. We set up shop on the patio and had a wonderfully delightful server wait on us. I didn't know what I was doing but my buddy did. I let him order and sat back and waited for the bounty. We caught up, laughed and did all the things and the food just kept coming. I knew I was in the right place. We got a basket of fries but made those bad boys Cajun. Do this. I used to live in New Orleans. The Cajun name is warranted. Fries should always be seasoned and/or have stuff on them. Always. Wanting to drink local, I helped myself to a Ginger Treehorn Cider. Served in a can, it had depth, generous bite and enough of a kick to know that the ginger was real and not just marketing. But the star of the show was the wings. A mix of drums and flats, these were not your grocery store chicken wings. These were meaty, larger than the average wing and as good as advertised. We ordered 20 for the two of us. Because he knows me, we maximized our sauces to get the best experience. We went to town on garlic parm, honey bbq, lemon pepper, and hot teriyaki. We.Tore.Them.Up! I had sauce on my fingers, face, hair, shirt, and other places and I.Did.Not.Care! Oh man. I don't usually indulge in wings because I'm afraid to be let down (I've been hurt too many times before). Not here. The night started mid (previous offsite) but ended in a food coma. How he drove me home, I do not know. Very happy to have experienced Clay's.

It's been years since I've stepped into a 3 Dollar Cafe. Oddly, I've never been to this one. These…read moreplaces were the hot spots back in the 90s. Seriously. This location is pretty limited on parking and it can be tight. I found a spot and walked in, and was hit with a massive scent of Fabuloso. That should've been my first clue on what was to come. It looked clean and I was able to grab a booth. Service was super fast. Typical bar food here but the wings were always great back in the day. I browsed menu and went with the wings (mango habanero). My coworker grabbed a turkey burger for himself. Food came out pretty quickly. My coworker went to the restroom and I started going into my wings. Perfectly crispy and the sauce was good. The house made blue cheese was not really good. My coworker came back, and as he was sitting down, a baby roach crawled out from under his burger. I had eaten half my wings at that point, and just opted to finish them. But the smell of fabuloso started to make sense. Our waitress took the burger away and my coworker just opted to leave. I will say everything else was great but, yeah, I won't be coming back. Damn. Hate that because I love the nostalgia of 3 Dollar Cafe. And I get roaches make their way in from time to time but in the food? No thank you.

So this was probably the closest hot chicken spot, and I was having a hankering for it. It's inside…read moreof a really nice brewery, and there's plenty of seating all the way around, so it fit the bill. You'll come inside, mutation and order on the right-hand side where you see the neon sign, but when you go to the brewery itself, just know that there is free parking and there is plenty of parking at the facility. You'll use the kiosk, and then you'll get a text message when your food is ready, and you can walk around freely until that happens. There's only one person there, and they're actually behind there stacking the food up to be picked up, so don't expect somebody to keep bringing food to you. Hot chicken sandwich - the sandwich was good, but typically the sandwiches are already pretty decent anyway. I got mine hot, but it wasn't like it was overly hot whatsoever. It had a nice little kick to it, but I could have gone further, but it was still a good sandwich. Brussel sprouts - the Brussels sprouts were okay, but I probably would not get them again. They didn't taste like they were seasoned at all, or very well. I mean, maybe a pinch of salt, but barely that. In the cup, you only got like six half pieces of Brussels sprouts. For paying almost $5 to get three full Brussels sprouts, that wasn't really worth it to me. Tater tots - the tater tots were really good, and they got quite a bit of them. They didn't come with anything, so you can get what you wanted as far as a condiment goes, but they were super hot and super crispy. Chicken tenders - so these are basically like chicken bites or chicken nuggets, I guess, and you can get them tossed in whatever sauce you want. I got mine with the hot lemon pepper variation. It was really good, but at the same time I probably should have picked one instead of the mix of it. With the hot lemon pepper situation, it was basically like lemon pepper and buffalo, but all you really tasted was buffalo, because the buffalo is so powerful you really don't taste anything else. Overall, I have no issue with this spot. It's really a good vibe if you're trying to watch a game or something along those lines, and this is the closest chicken spot to me like this, so I probably will continue to go.

It's a good choice if you're at mutation brewing and want some food but I personally would not go out of my way for this.

There are better but it's not terrible. It's in Sandy springs and there is free parking there so that's good. But it's in a shopping center so there's a lot of other places that share the same parking so just keep that in mind. I came randomly, ordered a couple of things, and waited around. My weight. Was like 10 minutes or so which wasn't bad at all. There's only one person working but he was super cool and super friendly even though he was the only one outside at the register. Chicken wings - I got the chicken wings and fries. The fries felt like, well I guess tasted like, they had been sitting out. So I am almost certain that they weren't fresh. The chicken was crunchy and crispy so that was good. But I got the garlic parmesan and you could actually tell that parmesan that was sprinkling on had been sitting because it started to Brown a little bit instead of being the normal color of Parmesan cheese. So I know that the wings had been sitting for a minute as well. They weren't bad but I know they could have been a lot better if they were more fresh. Shrimp - The shrimp were all right. They were maybe a little too. Well done but that wasn't the end of the world. I got tartar sauce cuz they don't have cocktail sauce there. And they were actually pretty big in size so that was good. But it wasn't something I had to happen and I need to run home and talk about. Overall it was good, but it was really just okay. There could have been better spots but this one was a quick option that I had yet to try.
