I saw a vid in Dr Phil's Show, and it triggered a memory. A couple years ago, I was visiting the Massage location (I used to go there several times but not anymore), and the LMT assigned for me cancelled, hence a MALE LMT, I would NEVER forget his name: James (unsure of his last), was in placed. He's African American, maybe late 30-40s, around 5'10", he touched me inappropriately. He placed what I believe his vital part on my palm when I was on my stomach. I remember, I froze and didn't know what to do and very scared, I felt extremely exposed and vulnerable, while he continued his "therapy". When he finally done, he left my room, and I didn't see his face afterward. I called and spoke with my attorney friend of this, immediately and was able to calm down. But I've NEVER since returned to this location EVER AGAIN. That man is a pervert! I regret that I didn't call the police at that time. read more

Good news is the therapists are good. Bad news is the owner is very unprofessional and has no cares for customer service or good record keeping. First battle as new customer was they charged me for no show when I had changed my appointment day and one hand didn't communicate with the other ... Uphill long phone call to get charges reversed. After months of using their services today when I called she insisted on having a credit card number. I explained I am a regular they must have my information on file but she didn't care. When I asked for the manager or owner to see what had changed she claimed she was the owner. They look for any excuse to charge your credit card for no reason. I've had massages at Turtle Bay resort on Oah'u Hawaii and Inn and Spa at Cedar Falls in the Hocking Hills and while this place might not be as scenic. The massage is just as good if not better, for half the price! My husband and I went in for our first time for a couples massage. The office is located on the second floor and then they take you down to the first for the massage. If you are a first timer that have you go to the office first to fill out paper work and sign a waiver. Then we were taken down to the first floor. Our therapists were very friendly and professional. They asked a few questions to each individual to assess their needs. My therapist spent the entire hour working on my back, it's a first that I've ever got to tailor my massage that much to my meet my needs and desires. The only thing I can suggest is essential oils or some kind of scent to complete the experience. The music was relaxing, the massage was wonderful, the dim lighting was peaceful but I found myself wishing for a diffuser or scent massage oil. The cost is very reasonable. 115$ for a couples massage for 60 mins plus a 25$ tip. Cedar Falls was 200$ for pretty much the same thing and I felt the massage was better here at Touch Therapy. I've been meaning to give big props to Doug Primm for a while now. As a woman in my early 30s, I've moved many times and always struggle to find a therapist with the knowledge, experience, and skill to navigate my complex set of lower back issues including sacral, coxics, psoas, hip...everything likes to lock up, get angry, and cause spasms and limited mobility. I am sometimes bed ridden for several days with intense pain whether sitting, standing, or laying down. No fruffy Swedish/relaxation massage can right what has gone wrong in my body at those times. If I had stayed in Columbus, I would have tried my best to keep Doug as my regular therapist for his physical therapy background, passion for healing, skills, and adaptability. With each session I experienced marked improvement and highly recommend him to customers seeking genuine pain relief and increased mobility. read more

Excellent Massage Therapist. Terrible business practices. I purchased a prepaid package for a block of massages; once COVID happened they pulled a fast one and told me I have to pay an additional $25 for each massage that was already prepaid because they "spent all the money" I had paid before and it would be as if they were doing my massage for free. I was annoyed and just asked for my money back. (no reason to negotiate with people who do business like this). They refused to refund saying my only option was to pay the additional $25. My belief is they hope they made me mad and can keep my money and not provide me with the massages I already paid for in full. They will be hearing from an attorney. Very disappointed in the customer service. Didn't actually get to enjoy a mini spa day after all. Booked a 30 min massage and a spa pedi on their website. Then received a call that they don't do pedis-- there was a technical glitch. Ok, that happens. Still was looking forward to a massage-- first time I've ever treated myself! Get there about 10 mins before my appointment. No one is around. Figure they may be woh a client. Twenty minutes later, still no masseuse. Someone was in the laundry area but she couldn't help me. Had a 4:00 appointment so decided to leave. My husband gave me a massage as a gift to the Bexley location. He had massages there in the past and thought I'd like to try it. He set up a relaxation/Swedish massage for me. I get massages a few times a year, some relaxation, some deeper tissue, even Thai, and understand it's a collaboration between you and the masseuse to find the right balance. The space itself is very nice and I was greeted warmly by the woman behind the counter. There must have been a mix up in their system because once in the room the masseuse said I was down for a deep tissue. I had the email confirmation that it was a Swedish/relaxation. She said, " I don't DO light pressure." She insisted I was down for a deep tissue and left to let me get ready for the massage. When she returns she says she should not have been assigned to me because she doesn't do Swedish. Now this qualifies as a-"You can think that, but saying it aloud probably isn't going to make the client feel welcome " moment. So, that's how it started off. I felt like instead of listening to the answers to the questions she asked, she was a bit caught up in not wanting to do the massage and had retorts, instead of really listening to me. Kind of a one-up-man-ship vibe. What stuck with me was when she said, "A body is a body." I get that on one level that's true, but there are all sorts of factors that affect a body. And no body is the same day to day, and it's important to keep in mind, especially if they are trusting you with their body. Once her energy settled about 15 minutes in (or she realized she was stuck with me for another 45 minutes) the massage itself was pretty good. There were parts that could have been better, but considering where we started at, it was ok. I get that people get frustrated at work, but you have to ask yourself, "How can I do the best job and NOT let the client know I am frustrated?" and "I am going to truly listen to the client and not just wait for my chance to respond?" I hope this was just an off day for the masseuse, but I can't say I'd invest in self care there in the future. These are not the rubbing you down with baby oil type of massages. Sheila gets in those muscular knots and works them them. I initially purchased a Groupon and then a 3-massage certificate. Yuck #2 was that the massage wasn't very good after I already felt weirded out by the surroundings. Do not give this business owner a dime of your money or waste your time going there- the owner was very rude. I purchased a Groupon as a Christmas gift for my parents to do a couples massage. The booking experience was ok however the customer service upon arrival was very unacceptable. They booked their appointment over the phone and were very excited. The day record my mom received a text to confirm her appointment. She confirmed it. The day of she received a text asking her to call. She called the number provided in the text and was only able to leave a voicemail. When her and my father showed up for their appointment they were told they weren't showing on their listed appointments. My mom then had to show her text asking to confirm. Then they were able to locate their appointment however for one reason or another the massage therapist had to cancel. My mom and step dad were ok with that but the owner said rudely "we asked you to call- why didn't you call?" My mom then showed where she had called but had l leave a voicemail. The owner said "why did you call that number? That is our secondary number and we don't monitor it as often." My mom then showed her where the text she received had provided that number for her to call. My parents asked if they were able to be rescheduled (though at this point they felt uncomfortable with the owners argumentative, unnecessarily defensive nature). The owner said yes, and my parents asked if they would still be able to use the Groupon (as it expired the very next day) and she said (again- very rudely and sarcastically) "why wouldn't you be able to?" At that point my parents decided it was not worth their time to reschedule. My mom contacted me to let me know, as I had planned to go there with my husband depending on their experience. Needless to say I will not be biking an appointment and I am asking Groupon for a refund. read more

I agree with some of the reviews about the building, a little old and retro. The staff was very professional and I had a wonderful massage from Ismael! He took a moment to discuss any aches and pains, pressure desired and throughout the experience he checked to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the pressure. This isn't a fancy spa but the massage is what is important to me. I had a Groupon so it was a great deal and they also offered me another deal as I was checking out, but totally not a pressure sale. All in all I think this was a very nice office and I was very happy with my experience. I will be returning. read more

Did Groupon (like the lady said below, that should tell you something). I was excited, but quickly creeped out by the atmosphere. The massage that followed was the worst I've ever had, actually painful. In hindsight I should have told her to back it off, but I like to give the person the benefit of the doubt because I figure they know what they're doing more so than I do. Today have suffered a 102 fever with no other symptoms (extremely weird as I am rarely sick and fit). Started to think back to the painful massage and did some research to see if there was a possible connection. Apparently it's your body's response to the toxins leaving your body. Purchased a $30 groupon (Sound familiar?) for a 60 minute massage, which i let expire. Nevetheless, you're SUPPOSED to get the cost of the groupon, so I contacted them to schedule. The 60 minute massage on their website is $65, so I would have to contribute $35. NO!! They wanted to charge me $65 because the price of the massage for groupon is $95, "we worked that out with Groupon". Then groupon should give them the extra $30 b/c it is NOWHERE on the groupon that the price is $30 MORE than if you just go on their website. IN WHAT WORLD WOULD SOMEONE PAY AN EXTRA $30 for a useless groupon?? The owner, I assume, is.......anyway, I would never spend a dime at this location and plan to take action to get my money back. They should honor the groupons and not just take people's money -- they can't be that desperate, can they? read more

I bought a Groupon to get a massage here. It had good reviews so I thought why not. Scheduling an appointment was no problem. The weather was bad at my originally scheduled appointment and they were great about rescheduling. I requested a deep tissue massage when I scheduled, but that is not the type of massage I received. When I showed up the first thing I noticed was that this place looked a little shady from the outside. I was hesitant to go in. There was a lot of trash by the door and the building did not look well kept at all. When I went in to the actual area where the spa was it was very nice. It was a calm and cozy atmosphere. The lady who did my massage, JoAnn, was good. She made me feel very comfortable. I did not like that I had to pay taxes on when I used the Groupon voucher as I have made Groupon purchases before and have never had to do that. I was told tax was $2.81, but then was charged $5.81. I don't think I will go back here, but maybe I would if it was a bit closer to my home I would think about it. read more

I got my massage done by Joanne who was VERY professional. I got this deal on Groupon and was nervous at first, but honestly i got a really nice massage for a very good price. I called at about 10am and they were able to get me in at 11:30. I pulled a muscle in my back that was so painful it required an immediate ER visit along with annoying pain meds. When I first left the office I thought "Dang it. That did nothing." Woke up this morning and my entire body feels amazing. My back is still sore from the muscle being so tight but to say she did an amazing job is an understatement. As far as reviews go about the building?? Get. Over. It. My dentist office used to actually be in the same building and it's very clean. The massage office is decorated beautifully for Christmas and I WILL be back!!!! Thank you Touch Therapy!!! My fiancé and I just let here from getting a couples massage. My fiancé's masseuse was phenomenal, according to him( I forget her name). I can't exactly say I had the same experience. Lemar did my massage and I found him to be very rough, so much to the point where I cried. At one point I stopped him because the pressure was too firm, it was at this time he informed me that he was having a hard time because I was too tense (because of the PAIN). A little later in the massage he asked if his pressure was too firm, to which I said yes but he never lightened up.I suppose part of this was my fault as I did not consistently tell him that his pressure was too firm. I'm a very shy person and I did not want to offend him- so that's entirely my fault. But I thought maybe he'd get the hint when I asked for a tissue (to wipe my tears and blow my nose) but he didn't seem to catch subtle hints then either but the massage wasn't all bad, just the time he spent on my back and shoulders (those were the painful parts). It was alright when he got to my legs and my hands. He also did my glutes which is where he basically just shook them lol- not my idea of a massage. Also he seemed to sigh a lot during my massage, which could have been because I was tense. I recall him yawning one or two times too. Not to be nit-picky, but he also gave me suggestions on how to reduce the swelling in my ankles WHILE he was massaging me, usually they save those Recs for the end of the massage as to not disturb the serene flow (though I do appreciate the advice). I'm only giving this establishment 3 stars because the ladies that greeted us were wonderful, my fiancé's massage was GREAT and Lemar, despite his poor massaging techniques, was fairly nice. read more
