My friend, who recently got over covid, had the misfortune of utilizing Totally Klean laundry service during his recovery. Although pickup was fast, Tom and his wife Kristina Davis did not follow my friend's instructions which further aggravated the illness. My friend told them to use non-scented hypoallergenic ALL detergent and to not fold the clothes but to put them in clean bags he provided them. Totally Klean must have folded the clothes on a surface covered with baby powder as the clothes were returned to my friend smelling as such.
Also, they forgot his undergarments at the store. After several long phone calls with Tom, the store owner who gave us excuses and blamed his employees for the mistake, they finally returned the undergarments a few days later. However, the returned undergarments had obviously been soaked in -- and we literally mean SOAKED in -- perfume or a heavy scented detergent that had toxic FRAGRANCE in it. My friend's skin had an allergic reaction. When confronted about the issue, Tom Davis again made excuses and refused to pick up the undergarments to rewash them.
A few days ago, I swung by the Totally Klean store and observed how they wash and fold other people's service bundle laundry. I saw an employee drop clean dry clothes on the ground and then pick them up, fold them and put them with the other 'clean' clothes ready for return to the customer. 'Unethical' is one of the many negative words that describes their company. Heck, they can't even spell 'clean' correctly. We should have known by their company name alone to avoid them like the plague. Don't ever use them - if so, you'll truly regret it. read more
