If you need a great place for washing and ironing clothes at an excellent price check out 2nd Street Laundry at 1816 E. 2nd. I am a lawyer who owns and runs my own law firm, have 4 kids, one with special needs, and one who is home schooled, meaning I (do not) have a ton of free time! All of my suits, dresses, slacks, blouses are washer/dryer safe, but a lot don't get taken out of the dryer quick enough to avoid wrinkles and I have no time to iron. As you can see I took almost 100 pieces for washing, ironing if needed, and all hung up. It cost $165, took 2 days, and most of these are items I can wear multiple times before washing again. I walked in the facility at 6:54pm to quickly use a washer only not dry with a smile on my face. Looked around to see what washer were open. A lady whom didn't address who she was stated very rudely " these are the only washer open" hinting at the $6.50 washer, I ignored her and continued looking until I found a regular washer for 2.50. I then. Went to the window spoke and asked for change, she stated there is a change machine and the turned red and rudely stated if you are going to use one of MY washers you won't have time to wash and dry. I laughed and told her to breathe and relax. I let her know that I understood she closed at 8 and I just needed to wash and Would dry at home.and let her know I could sense her hostility sense I walked though the door. Overall terrible experience very rude attendant or owner, I would advise not coming here when there are so many options. So this place is better than the other laundromat that Ive been to - nicer machines cleaner - has a coin machine but they DO NOT HAVE AN ATM .So don't ask them to spot you a dollar if you're going to run to the ATM at the corner because they won't. Which I understand to an extent - but the girl made me feel like shit like I'm not good for a dollar just so I could start the load. Not every one that comes to a laundromat are dead beats. Good grief. I just moved into an RV at Arcadia Lake I came to town to do laundry I asked the attendant, Sky, how much it would cost to wash and fold. She said she really couldn't say but could give me an estimate. So I inquired further to try to understand this odd way of giving the customer an estimate. I have always received the cost right up front. Well, she says, I don't make the policy. So ok. She gave me an estimate. We agreed she would do my laundry. So she said just come back tomorrow. I said ok. That's fine. I need a receipt saying that you have my stuff. She said no they don't do that. Really? I should just drop my clothes off and have nothing to show for it? At about that time a new hire piped up, you're just looking for a fight. You need to leave. Seriously? Uh no. I asked sky to call the manager, Carmen. She did. Carmen instructed her to give me a receipt. Great. On my way out I suggested to the hateful new hire that she work at a dump or somewhere where she doesn't have to deal with people. Oh boy, here we go. Sky suddenly says she is, in fact a supervisor, and when I insisted that we call Carmen again, she was reluctant to help me further although she did say she would talk to her. I used this laundromat to drop off a large comforter to be laundered. This place is clean, with lots of big machines, a tv, vending machines, and restrooms. I was just dropping off/picking up, so I can't speak of much more than that. The staff was friendly and told me it would be ready to pick up the next day. They didn't give me a ticket however and I of course forgot it was there for about 2 weeks. No one called to remind me. Maybe something they could change in the future. Anyway. The girl was nice when I picked it up, and it was cleaned and in a bag to transport. Overall very good experience. read more

I have been several times while the washer in my rental gets repaired. It is the cleanest laundry in town (we tried a few others) No mildew smell in the washers. All the machines I used worked without issue. It does get busy on the weekends, but no complaints about the facilities. read more
