Fast forward to this morning.. I got on Yelp and found Dirty Duds Wash house . It was almost a 20 minute drive but the reviews looked promising.. Upon arriving a lady's dog locked her out of her truck and she was on the roof trying to get in . I suggested she take off her shoe and use her feet through the sunroof .. ( yes this really happened ) Walking into the laundromat our clothes fell off the basket and a super sweet older African American woman helped us pick them up . See for yourself with the pictures.. the place is super clean . And they have plants which are very well taken care of . Even the bathroom was squeaky clean . The man that was there swept and assisted those in need and he was very friendly I would absolutely recommend using Dirty Duds Wash House .

This laundromat was clean and had a super friendly young lady to help out with any questions. Cost was maybe a little more than some of the other laundromats in the Indianapolis region, but well worth the price. In fact, I'll be going back there tomorrow morning. Plenty of parking for big rigs in the front lot to my fellow truckers.

So I arrive about 9:45am am I walk around to get the lay of the land and i see washers starting at $2.50 to $10. I am like this is cool and I start to separate my clothes and I am lucky enough to get the smaller washers on the end with are the cheaper washers and I have about 6 loads usually I wash at my mother's house but today I really don't want to do one load at a time I just want to get it over with. My neice and great neice are coming in from out of time and I want to be done and just enjoy my time with my family. So I put my sprinkles in them load my clothes in the washer and then put in my gain pods then close the washers which are the front loaders. Then I calculate how much money I need then I go to the changer and put a $20 in the machine and get exactly $15 worth of quarters and then I return to my machines and I am adding my quarters and I'm like this total is not right so I ask the attendant why is the total not going down she said because you picked hot water I was floored. Never have I ever heard anything like this in my life. There is only one color of clothing that you was on cold so they are getting over on everybody because you are going to at least pick warm. I will never be back to this facility and I will tell everyone I know about these shenanigans.

Even as I type this review the attendant is walking around cleaning and wiping down machines. All of the machines appear to be newer and in working condition. (There is nothing worse then broken machines leaving you to have to wait on others to be done using the operable machines!) There is plenty of seating for guest to sit and relax. There are even a couple arcade games to entertain your little ones if you have to bring your kids along. The attendant had a very sweet demeanor and provided excellent customer service when she saw that I was new and wasn't knowledgeable with the cards they use to activate the machines. One review mentioned that the cards cost $3 , but that can be refunded to you if you don't want to keep your card. Think of it as a deposit for the card. Which trust me... I'd much rather use a card then deal with quarters. This location is in a decent area, I don't feel unsafe by any means. What I liked most is this place is open later than the other laundry mats that I was checking out.

It was the night before my birthday and yes, unfortunately I was in there after closing time, however, I arrived with plenty of time to both wash and FULLY dry my family's clothes. See, I had to wait for a washer that actually functioned. That put timing back a bit. Well, when I get my clothes out of the dryer they were not completely dry. He stood there making fun of me and pressuring me to hurry up, hurry up, you still aren't going fast enough. I was sorting through what was dry and what didn't get dry to try to put things back in the dryer. He told me to "get my stuff and get out ". It was still pretty wet so I ended up having to go to another laundry facility once I found one that was open. So I was late for everything because of him and was still in a laundry mat drying clothes when midnight struck and it was my birthday. Not how I wanted to start it out. No one working at ANY BUSINESS has ever been as rude to me as he was and he's either the owner or the manager. He told me he didn't own it, but I'm pretty sure he does. I've seen his whole family up there before. As a side note, it is FAR from totally clean. The washers were pretty smelly and it's all torn up in there. And not just temporary construction kind of messy. It's looked like this for quite a while now. He shouldn't even deal with the public with an attitude like that. He made me so upset I cried a little and had to go vent to friends.

I went to another spot that was cashless, and I had just spent 30 minutes sorting out quarters so I wanted coin-op. Yes it's small, but the attendant is sweet as pie, the place isn't unbearably hot although I did sit in my car because I had calls to make. Only a couple of machines were out of commission and they do drop off service/delivery as well. If I need a laundromat again I'll definitely return. The 5 load number 25 ran for a very long time without dispersing water. I called the number on the window. The man I spoke with was very arrogant and made excuses when I mentioned all the washers and dryers that were tagged out of service. He asked if I had ever been there and not been able to get a washer or dryer, then I remember I had and if I had been feeling better I would have went to the other laundry which is updated and clean. Anyway he let me know he was watching me from wherever he was, meaning he knew good and well his machines weren't working. He then made the excuse that he recently opened up the wedding rental business in the same outlet and his focus had been there. He then said he would be at the laundry mat at 8:30. I hadn't planned on waiting around however machine 25 ran for over an hour after finally getting water in it. My other clothes,which I loaded quite sometime after because of the broken machine, were already dried and folded. I was there from 6:45 am to about 8:40 am. He never showed up. There were a couple cars that had pulled in and parked on the side of the building. The worker who showed up at 8, came and gave me the money I lost. This is no man. He sends his employees to cover his mistakes and excuses. The worker even said number 27 often doesn't work. I guess it's easier to refund than to put another out of service. Don't do business with anyone who cannot accept responsibility face to face. This guy is an embarrassment and I bet he's one who thinks he's better than anyone else.
