We had another company's plumber snake the bathtub, but unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem. Oakland Rooter and Plumbing was immediately able to get someone out to the property within just a few hours. Eddie came out, assessed the issue, and recommended snaking the bathtub again. Within an hour, he was able to clear a hairball from the pipe and get the bathtub draining properly again! We were initially worried that there might be a broken pipe, so we were very relieved that Eddie was able to resolve the issue so quickly. Huge thank you to Eddie and Oakland Rooter and Plumbing! I really appreciated the clear communication, quick response, availability on such short notice, and professionalism. We will definitely be reaching out again for future plumbing services!

Sure enough, it was definitely on its way out. He went to Home Depot and got all new parts. This made the repair expensive but not as expensive as a separate visit. Dimond Plumbing is a gift and we dear Yelpers the benefactors. Mike came highly recommended from a friend whose recommendations I take as gospel. I knew that his work would be superb, and somehow he far exceeded my expectations. He called and setup an appointment, was astoundingly punctual and listened diligently to my 3 plumbing problems. I went back to work and in about 30 minutes Mike walked me one by one through each of the issues, explaining and educating in laymen's terms what happened and how I could maintain my plumbing more efficiently/effectively. I love that he took the time to make sure I understood what the problem was and the work he did to correct it. The THREE plumbing issues were shockingly affordable (especially considering that the former plumber tried to tell me that I was going to need to replace my entire pipe system). Mike is honest and effective and takes pride in his craft. I will never call another plumber again.

Real nice guy and the cost of his service was very fair. This is something that has to be done yearly and since EBMUD passed the burden to the homeowners I definitely will always call Mike at Diamond Plumbing, he is a person you can trust to do the job right!

We couldn't take it anymore, so we looked up a reliable local plumber and H&R had great reviews and are also located in San Leandro. I called them on a Wednesday evening and a man answered on the second ring. I told him what our issue was and he immediately said he could help and was ready to send someone the next morning. I wasn't available that day but was available on Friday, and he instantly said that worked for him and gave me a window of noon to 2:00 pm for arrival. Carlos arrived on time and was an incredibly nice, friendly, professional guy. Our problem was a simple one: sediment had collected in the head of the faucet over time and was blocking the water from coming out. He showed us what he removed, how to remove it ourselves next time, and told us that it's a result of the very old, original pipes in our home collecting that sediment. He arrived and finished the job within 30 minutes, tops. Incredibly smooth transaction and experience. Would definitely work with these guys again in the future.

I did some "research" (on ChatGBT) to find a good local plumbing contractor and called the top three around 7 AM Sunday to avoid "emergency" charges and not to make some guy do this messy job in the dark. H&R called back around 9AM and by 11AM the problem was solved. What it was, was some tree roots got into the Y junction where the line from our house meets the city sewer. We had PVC liner inserted into the old clay pipes around 8 years ago and put in the cleanout at that time. Andres from H&R gave me a VERY reasonable quote up front, found the cause, fixed the problem, cleaned up and left, and charged exactly the original price quoted. No upsell, no BS. What a relief! I give this company high marks for honesty, competence and availability. What more do you want from a plumber?

I knew the Pressure Regulator Valve needed to be changed and the shower stems needed to be replaced. I had 3 other estimates completed for the same job. They range from repiping the entire house, piping from the street, changing the water heater, tearing down walls, etc. Taz Plumbing was the ONLY company that did not try to sell me additional work. There was no up sale after the initial estimate either. The work that was discussed was the work that was carried out. Estimate and total cost were still lower than the other quotes. And some of those quotes did not even include the proper work to satisfy the need. 1 year warranty on the work included. The cost of experience was well worth the price paid for the time spent on the job. I 100% recommend working with Gee and Taz Plumbing.

Excellent work. We've had them in for three projects: a laundry box, water heater replacement, and…read morerepiping. The laundry box project convinced us that they did quality work. The water heater project was more expensive than we'd expected, but that was because they insisted on doing things to code; they said that if we didn't want to do things to code, we'd have to use someone else. We didn't bother to get alternate bids on the repiping because we knew their work is solid. Jason, the owner, prepared a very detailed bid. We had a number of questions, and he was very good about answering them. The repiping itself took about four days. The work was far less intrusive than we'd initially expected. They replaced our old steel piping, which was giving us a lot of problems, with copper. During the work we questioned why they were putting in single-handle shower valves when we'd had two-handled valves before, and they gave cogent reasons for doing so. Alligator said that their rates are about average, and we believe them. Perhaps we could have gotten the repiping done by another company at a lower cost. But we'd rather contract with people who have already done good work for us and whose work we trust. We've always believed that the most cost-effective option is to go for quality, and Alligator certainly delivered in that regard. Highly recommended!
