Had a great experience at Total Snorkel with Captain Alex and Ricardo the guide. Pricing for snorkeling, jet ski, etc, were all extremely affordable. I was able to buy a cheap waterproof phone case, and record underwater for some great memories. Don't hesitate to use these guys for your water activities!

Great time! Excellent customer service. The night tour was perfect for me as I'm VERY light sensitive. Lots of fish, octopus, crab, lobster, and coral. There was a big surprise at the end (no spoilers!). Good: Personal attention and care. They took care of all the equipment (included in price) and instruction. They even put up with my piss-poor Spanish! The water's amazing. I could sit in there all day. The view's also amazing. Your own, personal fish tank. Bad: This wasn't Total Snorkel's problem, but it was actually pretty difficult for me to see stuff given my near-sightedness, so I'm very glad I got the photo package. Tips: *The photo package is spendy ($45 as of this writing), but VERY worth it. *Keep in mind, added transport base price is $20USD from Riviera Maya. From Playa del Carmen, I was quoted $60USD for pickup/dropoff, so opted for ADO and Total Snorkel picked me up nearby the station. *Don't forget the dock fee! It's $10USD in addition to the tour and associated fees. And it's per person.

This is what the gentleman gave me to let me know of our rescheduled time.
Other writing was of notes to myself as to when I called, etc...

Husband and I were on our 25th Wedding anniversary and decided to do an excursion. On Aug.26, 2023, we had planned to do some snorkeling, jet skiing, and parasailing. They did pick us up from our hotel, and when we arrived, we started with the jet skiing experience. We then went snorkeling with another couple and then we were to do the parasailing experience. Granted the weather wasn't working in our favor, so they decided to either cancel and refund that portion of the excursion or reschedule. We chose to reschedule because this was THE ONE thing I was truly looking forward to. We rescheduled for 8/29/23, and they stated they would pick us up at 9:55 am and would go parasailing. On 8/29/23, the bus/van NEVER showed up. So, after 10 minutes, I had called Total Snorkel and they said they were on their way, that they were stuck in traffic. We waited until 10:55am, I called again, and they now told us that they cancelled our excursion, due to weather, and that I should have received an email stating this. WE DID NOT receive any email until after 12pm. When we got home from our trip, I reached out to Total Snorkel and they said because we booked with Expedia, we needed to reach out to Expedia for refund. I reached out to Expedia, and they told me that Total Snorkel was responsible for refunding. I, again, reached out to Total Snorkel, and they have chosen to ignore my request. Question (1), why they would have refunded me at that time, before we decided to reschedule, and not now? Question (2), why did they tell me they were on their way, stuck in traffic, if they had cancelled the excursion? We received NO calls or emails prior to 12pm on 8/29/23, the actual day of our anniversary. I am just informing others as to what happened to us, and to hopefully help others be aware of what they said and what actually happened. On a good note, the snorkeling and jet skiing were a blast. Thank you, Pili (our guide) and Juan (our Captain) for a wonderful experience.

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have the facts of ... Total Snorkel, the facts of ... Total Snorkel. The Good * A friendly guide (Oswald) who got in the water * Small group of about 8 snorkelers * Clear blue water of the Caribbean * Chill af captain * A few sea turtles * Hotel pick-up/drop-off was ok The Bad * 3 sites; 2 hours; few fish until the shipwreck * Seriously, not like coral reef or Hawaii snorkeling * Underwater statues are kind of lame * $10/person cash add-on "dock" fee was gouging * The photographer got seasick = less photos The facts of Total Snorkel add up to an a-ok, 3-star rating. It was a below-average snorkeling experience for viewing sea life that was dramatically improved by a nice guide and organized team.

Chose Total Snorkel after reading the myriad of 5 star reviews on Tripadvisor and they definitely lived up to the hype. Went for the 9:30 am outing on Christmas morning. We were picked up at the designated time from our Hotel and got to the marina in about half an hour from there. After a seamless check in we were introduced to our guide Sgt. Rob who had quite a disarming demeanor about him and made us immediately comfortable. After outfitting the whole group with fins and life vests (thick or thin based on comfort level in the water), he started telling us about the adventure on hand and what we should expect to see. Once everyone was outfitted and baggage stored away in lockers they provided free of charge, we went out to the dock to meet Capt. George who would be skipper for our tour. Our paparazzi Monica took a group picture prior to us getting on the boat which was given to us free of charge. Everyone was instructed about dos and dont's while out at the snorkel spots and we even had a dry run in the shallow knee deep water off the dock, to make sure everyone was comfortable in the water with all the gear on. The entire excursion lasted about 2-2.5 hours with 3 stops. The first was called "The Red Stick" and had the most marine life. Scores of fish of myriad varieties, colorful coral reefs which were an absolute treat for the eyes. Sgt Rob was very helpful in pointing out all the different and beautiful things to look at. He was also extremely patient with people in our group who were not very comfortable being in the open water and went so far as to tug them along on a float so they could enjoy the experience! The second spot was an area flush with sea grass where we were to look for turtles. The more accomplished swimmers in the group fanned out in search of the little guys and we were lucky enough to see between 1 and 3 as a group depending on who happened to be in the right place at the right time. The last spot was a shipwreck which was an amazing sight to behold. A sunken trawler flush with schools and schools of colorful fish, seemed like something straight out of a disney movie. What a sight for a finale to a truly wonderful adventure. Can't say enough positive things about the professionalism of the entire crew and the Total Snorkel operation in general. Hats off to Sgt Rob in particular, who went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great experience. If you plan to snorkel in Cancun look no further than Total Snorkel.

What an amazing trip with Limbert and Luis. My wife is not…read morea confident snorkeller but with help from Luis and Limbert she went out into quite a rough sea to see the turtles and then snorkelled over some deep water in the cenote/caves. We both thoroughly enjoyed the half day trip and would recommend it to anyone. Limbert was a very knowledgeable guide and told us a lot about the history of Mexico on the drive down. Both were quite close to Playa Del Carmen/ Playacar so the longest drive was around thirty minutes. I got some great photos and at the end of the trip we were sent a Google Drive of the photos that Limbert had taken.

An Unforgettable Tour Thanks to Rod and Limbert! I was lucky to experience a truly unique custom tour organized by Rod, the owner, and Limbert, our tour guide. From the very beginning, the service was impeccable--warm, personalized, and incredibly thoughtful. Limbert wasn't just a guide; he felt like a true friend welcoming us into his home. His knowledge of Mayan culture is outstanding, and visiting the ruins with him felt like traveling back in time--an educational and fascinating experience we wouldn't have had with anyone else. Swimming with the turtles was also absolutely out of this world. Limbert made sure everything was safe, smooth, and above all, magical. He also took us to amazing restaurants with authentic Mexican cuisine, far from the tourist traps and full of local flavor. Thanks to Rod and Limbert, my vacation was more than excellent--it was truly memorable. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the Yucatán Peninsula with depth, authenticity, and a personal touch you'll never forget.

I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Quickie and Don Juan!!!…read more From easiness of booking to quick response times and an amazing day filled with site seeing, I was truly blown away. This isn't your average boring tour. Quickie brings the passion and fun on your adventure. We started off our morning by getting picked up by Don Juan and Quickie. While the tour time might seem early, it's 100% worth it because it allows you to skip out on lines and crowds. We headed to Tulum to see the Mayan ruins. During our ride Quickie gave us a brief bio on himself and then provided us a lot of historical context for the ruins. When we arrived he dropped us off and let us do a self-guided tour which was nice because he wasn't being overbearing like a normal tour guide would be. Once we were ready to leave Quickie met us back at the entrance and took us to a hole in the wall spot that had amazingggg tacos. Next up on our list was visiting a cenote in Tulum. Quickie and Don Juan had all of our equipment ready for us which made the process nice and easy. Quickie picked a cenote for us that was breathtaking but not swamped with people (very important!!!). We snorkeled in the cenote with Quickie while Don Juan watched all of our belongings. Quickie provided us with knowledge on the cenote and even took pics for us. After the cenote we went snorkeling with turtles, stingrays, fix, and squids. It was a great time. Following snorkeling, Quickie took us to another hole in the wall restaurant where we had more amazing food and drinks. Our tummies felt very satisfied! We then visited another cenote where we had it all to ourselves. It was AMAZING!!! Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. To say Quickie is a wonderful guide would be an understatement. Both Quickie and Don Juan treat you like family. When we first met up in the morning Quickie said we would just be hanging with friends who happened to be locals. I didn't understand what he meant at first but once our time together came to an end it all made sense. Quickie goes out of his way to make sure your comfortable and well taken care of. I cannot recommend Quickie and Don Juan enough. The tour is well worth the money and time. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not booking this tour. I left as one happy camper and look forward to booking with Quickie again on my next visit. 10/10 recommend!

Quickie's excursion was an absolute joy…read more From beginning to end the entire experience was enjoyable. There were not any unpleasant parts. The amount of time spent on each activity was perfect. Long enough to enjoy everything and short enough to not feel as though it was dragging on. Quickie has extensive knowledge about the history of the tulum area and gives you excellent history and current states of the local environment. The cenotes were gorgeous and pristine. The zip lining was fun and safe. At every stage we were met with quick assistance and service. We went to quickies favorite taco place which was amazing. Hand made tortillas and a large selection of different meats. Surprisingly they put rice and beans on the tacos, if desired. The catamaran was huge and the ocean was gorgeous. We went snorkeling and saw sting rays and several turtles. There is a generous amount of drinks available to unwind with on the ocean at the end of the excursion. Quickie is a fun funny and knowledgeable guy. He is extremely thoughtful of all your needs. Not one time was I uncomfortable or needed to ask for something. I absolutely recommend taking advantage of his services when in the Tulum area.
