Got home from vacation to find leak in powder room wall. The insurance company recommended three vendors. After contacting them, found the best and most professional response was from Total Restoration. Office staff made scheduling easy. Austin came to my home the same day I called. Machinery was put in place to dry things and damaged dry wall removed. We were on our way to recovery. Guess what? About a week later another leak this time from ac at top of the house. Once again great response. The conclusion to these episodes was replacing drywall and putting the gutted powder room together. That included wood floor, vanity, toilet, mirror and paint. These people are here to take advantage of your vulnerable state. Ours was a horrible experience. Completely unprofessional from start to finish. They left our home worse than when they came in and then made excuses about it without offering any recompense AND they attempted to make us pay for work that was not even done. I hope this will help others who have a chance to look online before signing the line after a disaster. This company was one of many who must have been listening to the scanners when my in-laws' house burned down and showed up on the scene. We thought this was terribly tactless and rude of all of them. The owner, Dave, just makes his way in and starts talking as if he's your best friend. He talks as if he's already gotten the job, talking you all the way through from boarding up the house (which is required to happen but can be done for much much cheaper) to cleaning your clothing and textiles, to rebuilding your house. If you read his contract carefully, if you sign that day (and I cannot imagine how many traumatized home-owners have made this mistake) the contract pretty much says you give him the right to work directly with your insurance company, take the money directly from them, name the cost, etc. Of course people who are still watching their houses burn want to hear this and I'm sure so many people get sucked in. Also, if you're not careful, his crew will just start boarding up without asking. But do not sign or make any decisions that day, you have time to decide. Call your insurance adjuster and ask who THEY recommend. You WILL get ripped off. They are taking advantage. I smelled a rat from the beginning and stood by my relatives and made sure they only will get billed for the boarding up, which, as you could imagine, was marked up ridiculously high. We had to cross things out, initial, them, change stuff, etc. Unfortunately for us the fire company had already called the in, but please remember - YOU can send them packing!! My suspicions were confirmed later when friends showed up, one who is an independent claims adjuster and one working in commercial insurance, they both said companies like this were just "vultures" and will take you for all you have at your worst moment. Please make sure to protect friends and neighbors who may be in a disaster situation. Other companies with different names who claim to do the same thing are also just as bad, so please watch out. read more

If I could give lower than 1 star, I would. My family was devastated by a flood and experienced heavy water damage to our basement. TRC came out to our home and told us and our neighbor that they could help us but they refused to quote us. They practically strong- armed us into their service by saying that they were the only ones that would be available for weeks (we were struggling to find other people) and that the job needed to be done "immediately". TRC people came to our home and ripped up 2ft off of the walls around our entire basement- only to have another TRC rep come hours later and tell us that they didn't need to rip up the walls at all and said that the workers should have waited for the companies Water specialist before they ripped up the walls. This was clearly upsetting and it was only made worse by how hard it was to get a hold of anyone from the company. The company withheld giving us a quote for a MONTH. We were only able to get a hold of the owner once and he told us he'd "make it right". The bill came in and we were charged 3k on the invoice for the destruction they caused our home and then left us to fix by ourselves. They took advantage of us in our state of disaster and only caused more financial and emotional stress. Our insurance was denied (something TRC knew from the beginning) and this was a big dent in our wallet- on top of the cost to fix the walls and the rest of the damages. They fucked up and then didn't even have the common decency to correct their wrong doings. Scam of a company- shame on you read more

I cannot say enough about the dedication and professionalism from Total Restoration. We had 3.5 inches of rain at our house in less than a half hour. Of course with all that rain the pump in our basement could not keep up. We ended up with over 4 inches of water in our basement. We called Total Restoration at 10:15pm for help and within a half hour they were at our house with the equipment necessary to not only get the water out of basement but also help remove any items that were damaged. The two gentlemen were attentive to the needs that had to be handled and made sure everything was complete and cleaned up as soon as possible. They left high speed fans and dehumidifiers to run to make sure all wetness would dry up. The owner followed up with us several times to make sure things were progressing. We had a flood on 12/20/14. We had a company Serv Pro do the clean up and that was perfect. They do not do rebuilding work. We found Total Restoration of Limerick. Dave called right back. He came out and said everything was going to be fixed. He would send an estimate. I waited 3 weeks. I emailed no response. I called the office for a return call, no call. I called his cell. He apologized and said he was so busy he would have the estimate to me tomorrow. I waited another full week and called. He apologized again and said the estimate would get to me tomorrow. He said they where so busy he did not blame me if I got someone else. He could not even do the work for 3 to 4 weeks from when I sign the contract. I am now looking for a new contractor and going through the process that I did the first week. I had two other contractors bidding, but Dave told me he works with our insurance data base so it would be much easier. Here we are February 4th and my house is still in disrepair. It has been frustrating and stressful. I am appalled that a professional can not make a return call when promised. Stay away if you want great customer service. read more
