Called the manager, John, twice. Left messages. Never got a call back. Just called the number on the Groupon again today, the guy hung up on me. Lucky for me, Groupon's customer service is AWESOME. I reported the company and they gave me my money back. For those that are looking to book this company, I would say spend your money somewhere else. Total "Quality"? This business is a total JOKE! I booked a deal though Groupon for a gutters and windows package. Since they only had week-day appointments I booked one and took a few hours off work to meet them at my house. Not only did they miss my appointment, but they didn't even call to let me know. I had to call them to find out that the "tech" assigned to my job (Mike is his name) was MIA that day. I rescheduled with the woman on the phone for two weeks later. That is today, at 9:30 am. It is 10:30 am as I write this review and it is not because they were late or because they didn't confirm my appointment, or because they don't have an answering machine or reply to any customer e-mails or concerns. This review is because the woman answering the phone hung up on me twice while I was trying to get an estimate ETA and when the tech Mike showed up after I had just canceled my appointment, he said to me: "shut the f_ck up and go to hell-you'll never get a refund" because he had made the trip to my house in vain. Dear Total Quality Cleaners--send your staff (or yourselves) to a business 101 class, customers are the heart and soul of your business and without them you are nothing. To be this rude to any customer (let alone one that you stood-up previously), is simply absurd. I would not recommend this "business" to anyone. This was the worst customer service I have ever seen. We purchased a Groupon deal for gutters and window cleaning. The person who showed up had poor business skills as did his associates when we called the company to question extra charges that were not explained up front. Then the work itself was terrible, sloppy and rushed! There were extra leaves left on the roof and all over the ground, and all of this was after many reschedules and late arrivals. This place is nothing but an awful headache. I too purchased the Groupon, and it was by far my worst Groupon purchase ever. They will not let you make an appointment over the phone, even though I was already speaking to a customer service rep. The rep said I could have the gutters cleaned when I wasn't home. However, I was then told this was not possible, unless I posted the Groupon on my door (I was out of town). They wouldn't let me fax, email or mail it in. The woman I spoke to was incredibly rude, and called me a liar and a b---h to another rep when I was supposedly on hold, and completely denied that she did. Also, I'm pretty sure they ruined one of my gutters, which will cost way more to fix than I paid for (and thankfully was refunded by Groupon). read more

My experience is the same as every other one listed here so far. I bought a groupon from this company back in November for gutters and windows. After several attempts to contact them, in April, I was finally able to reach someone. They scheduled the gutter cleaning for early July, and assuted me that they would still honor the groupon, even though it expired in May. The date of the cleaning came and went, with no word from these guys. I made several more attempts to contact them - the one phone number (267-975-2796) goes right to voicemail, but the mailbox is always full, and when I call the number listed on the groupon (267-975-1925), and explained why I was actually HUNG UP ON - TWICE! Can only agree with all the previous writers. This "business" sucks. Though the Groupon advertised gutter cleaning, the actual deal was for windows only. John called when he was supposed to have been at our house to say he had a "family emergency" taking a kid to the hospital (Give me a break!) Then, at the later time, he called to say he was having problems with his truck. (Oh, how tragic.) He showed up late for the re-scheduled appointment and informed me that the upper sash of a window counts as One Window and the lower sash counts as Another Window. Extra for removing and replacing screens. Glad my dogs were barking and he seemed scared of them because this guy is full of it. So is Total Quality (???) Cleaners. I'm starting to wonder about EVERY company that sells vouchers through deal sites. I purchased a deal for 5 room carpet cleaning. It took multiple tried to get someone on the phone for the appointment where I was directed to their website to schedule online. When I went to the website, the only appointments listed were for evening hours and said ($80 cash). I assumed that this was the regular price, but I had the deal voucher. I even placed in the comment section that I had the voucher with it's number and asked them to call and confirm. I never got a call back and I tried multiple times to call the phone number again. I finally got someone to answer the phone this morning (the appointment was for tonight) who said "you know there's an $80 evening fee associated with the appointment." I explained that I had the voucher and he claimed the days are all booked until June because it's "spring cleaning time. 6pm is after hours so it's a premium fee." When I said I would cancel the appointment and that I would be contacting the deal site because there was nothing in the fine print about additional fees, he hung up on me. I can't comment on their actual cleaning since I got a refund on the voucher, but their customer service is awful. read more

I am calling Groupon tomorrow to get my money back. I have been trying and trying with that jerk John to make an appointment and either he doesn't answer my messages or he says he doesn't have time to talk, or whatever. I've had it. I came on here to warn others against this company only to find that ten people before me have already described its miserable service. Groupon certainly got burned by dealing with this company--who knows how many refunds they've had to make? And John says they are booked for all of May and into June. Total Quality Cleaners does not know the first thing about running a business. I called for weeks before I even got someone on the phone. Then they inform me I had to go to the website to make the appointment which was fine but they could have just put it on the voucher and saved me time. My appointment was for Jan 21 at 3:00. At 4:00 I tried to call the number on the email they sent me, no such luck. By 5:30 I started to put all my furniture and nic-naks back. At 6:00 I realized that the number on the voucher is different from the email so I called the voucher number and I really don't think the "so called" answering service even knew someone was coming to my house. I called Groupon and got my money back. I just wish I though to go to Yelp first. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! As others have said, they are scam artists. I too purchased a Groupon for a "Total House Gutter Cleaning". I read the fine print carefully before I purchased it. No limitations were listed. I called the company a day before our appointment to confirm the appointment and ask them if I should leave the Groupon for them in my mailbox and he told me someone had to be home when they come. I asked him why - since I've never had to be home before to have a gutter cleaning. He said it was because they would have to "go over the job" with me. Red flag. So I took a half day off from work to make sure I was home when they came. The day of the appointment, their worker shows up and before I can even hand him my Groupon, he hands me a big price list and says, "People get mad at me when I hand them this list". The list outlines a bunch of limitations on the gutter package - that it includes only first floor gutters and only up to 200 linear feet and outlines a bunch of "additional charges" such as charges for 2nd story gutters, extra linear feet, etc. Essentially, the Groupon was a scam. They sold these Groupons as a Total House Gutter Cleaning with no limitations, and then attempt to charge the customer for 2nd floor gutters and linear feet over 200. The gutter cleaner that came to our house told me he was a subcontractor, so I called the owner of the company who proceeded to argue bitterly with me on the phone accusing me of "taking advantage" of them by trying to get the whole house gutters cleaned for such a cheap price. Um, the Groupon I purchased was for a TOTAL house gutter cleaning. It wasn't FOR a 1-story gutter cleaning with limited linear feet. He was unprofessional, angry and nasty with me and it is only because I am smarter than him and would not give in that he finally agreed to give me what I paid for, but not without a big fight and trying to make it sound like I was asking for something I was not entitled to. read more

I called after 15 minutes of waiting and spoke with someone on the phone who actually assured me that they were on their way...LIES. Do not use them. They run a scam. I purchased a deal from KGB Deals for carpet cleaning. When the cleaner arrived, he told me there would be a charge of $40/room to pretreat the spots. I paid it because I was desparate to get my carpets cleaned before the holidays. The worst part is the carpets are still dirty. I tried to called Total Quality Cleaners and there was no answer. KGB gave me a refund but I am still out the money I paid the subcontractor directly. read more

This company doesn't even do gutter cleaning. They sub leased this group on to some other company and they subleased to somebody else. They showed up after an hour late and told me only the front gutters and one window is counted as 2 windows. I asked him to give his office number and he wouldn't do so. I finally used my Groupon for house cleaning. The cleaner, Christina, was very efficient, polite, informative and thorough. I hate cleaning and she gave me inspiration to do more in my house. She suggested cleaning supplies that I could use on my own. She knew what she was doing and seemed to enjoy cleaning (thank God for people who really like to clean!) She didn't make me feel bad about how dirty my house was so that was a plus right there. I would have her back so I can get my house back to clean, entertaining mode. read more

Well, the final service was Good, but the total experience was not. The carpet technician - Robert - was excellent. The carpets were clean when he left, and he was polite and on time The reservation process with TQC was a challenge TQC has no real ability to book a reservation successfully. I booked in December 2011, and they did not come - seems there was a mix up that may have been my error, but they made no effort to contact me. I rescheduled for January. To be sure they would come I called Tuesday, before my Friday appointment. On no, I was told, you do not have an appointment this Friday, but I can schedule one next Friday. I was considering requesting a refund for my coupon. On first Friday, before I requested a refund, I was called by the technician to confirm I was available. I shared with him my frustrations, and that I was considering a refund. He sounded honest, and offered to make things right. I said yes - sure come. Then I was called by the reservation person and reminded there was an appointment this afternoon, I shared my frustration and that the current appointment was next week. She didn't want to hear it. Well, later that afternoon the Technician, Robert, came. He explained to me the pricing, and assured me that for the coupon, he would clean 5 rooms. I was interested in adding my sofa, love seat. He offered me a good deal to include my step, and some area rugs, and he was generous 'counting my rooms' suggesting one power room was too small to count as a room. He did an excellent job. He explained to me that the carpet cleaning was included in the coupon, but that scrubbing the floors was an extra charge. He did not suggest the scrubbing for me. His water based solution cleaned my carpeting, and he did my family room twice 'to get it clean'. I am very pleased with Robert (in NJ), but found the experience to get him to my house (reservations) to be painful. I was not burned by this company! But I will think twice before I call them again. I used a groupon coupon from Total Quality Cleaners. Christina was my cleaner and she was great. I was home on maternity leave and my house was in desperate need for a cleaning. She did such a great job that we are thinking of using them on a monthly basis. The service was very professional and I had no issues with the appointment or scheduling on line. read more

This company avoids you, doesn't show up, lies to you and yells at you for trying to use a groupon. Calls you a cheap ass. I had this scheduled for 3 days prior to our daughter's 1 year old birthday party. I was counting on them and when I called 3 hours prior he said that the groupon is not valid cause groupon is not paying them (most likely cause they kept screwing customers). So he said call someone else. I argued that I'd pay a higher price and not even use a groupon, but he insisted he wasn't coming out even though I booked over a month ago the service. Ray screwed me and avoided phone calls and I called from another phone and we argued and he kept saying that groupon customers are cheap and that to find someone else.
