Excellent. They installed a heat pump for us in Kent, as promised and at a good price.

We have an automatic refill contract with Tower and they were unable to completely fill our tank last delivery and promised to return to fill the remainder, "soon". Ultimately, they never came back and our tank ran dry leaving us without heat on a Friday in February. I contacted Tower and spoke with the manager. His response to the situation was dismissive, saying there is no need for a filter change or a system check, these run outs "happen all the time". In a situation like this, when a company fails to meet their guarantee, the expectation is the company will go out of its way to remedy it; regardless of the severity. But to have two consecutive failures is simply pathetic. showing a lack of integrity and no desire to stand by their guarantee. Tower Energy has 2.7-star rating on Yelp with 7 reviews in total, 4 of which are 1 star with a detailed explanation of their unique situation. The 1-star reviews had a common thread of Tower not fulfilling their contractual obligation, very similar to my recent experience. I would read the others as well I cannot recommend Tower Energy and advise against it. Research into customer experiences elsewhere.

I recently ordered 100 gallons of oil for my tanks before the big snow storm we had. We were told…read moreit would get delivered before the storm and then kept getting pushed back. (no big deal we understood they were busy) When they did finally show up the next week they they said they couldn't get the cap off to put the oil in and left. my husband got home and tried and the cap came right off without any elbow grease. they said they would be back the next day. They showed up the next day (Friday) and put the oil in. Well my husband pulled the driveway in from work as they were finishing and had to wait for their truck in the driveway for what seemed like a while for only 100 gallons. As soon as he pulled away my husband went down stairs to our double oil tanks and saw the man filled both tanks. (Over 400 gallons) he immediately called the office and was directed to the emergency line because the were now closed for the weekend. We left a message with the emergency line operator and he said he would let the office know Monday. We told him thank you and by all means come take the oil back. Our original receipt says the order is for 100 gallons and the rate we ordered it at. Our card was charged the following week for that amount and we recieved a confirmation email. I go to check the mail and now have an additional bill for $1,600 for the additional amount at a higher rate. my husband called right away and explained the scenario again to the front desk lady who said they had no idea. She said a manager would call. No manager called, but we did receive a very rude and nasty call from a front desk lady today trying to tell us we need to pay our outstanding balance. My husband explained to her, AGAIN....We were over charged because we only ordered a certain amount and according to her that's not their fault it's our responsibility. He said I would like to speak to a manager, so she put him on hold then came back and said he will be calling you and hung up on my husband. This whole experience has just been terrible with this company. We have told them plenty of times mistakes happen we get it, please come take your oil back. Now to have an attitude with us this is uncalled for.

The diagnostic fee was very competitive at $69 (diagnostic fees usually run around $90 in this area). However, once the diagnosis was made, the cost to fix the issue was VERY HIGH. Given the estimate of the fix, I decided to get a couple different quotes. SolvIt's quote was double the other two companies I called. It's a shame because everything else about the company was good. However, I will probably never call them to address any other issues in my home because their prices were so far out of their competitors range.

I understand the "cost of doing business" but that is absolutely absurd. This should cost no more than maybe 500-600 at the absolute most. They could've left with 500-600 and instead they left with 122 because this business is extremely overpriced. But again the techs were very nice and friendly. --Techs would get 5 stars..you can tell they get this response quite abit. --The pricing is the 1 star, it's far past the point of price gouging and I made sure I was right before posting this by having a couple other estimates (those were free estimates by the way, the fact this was paid should've been a red flag. that part is my fault.

Just before the New Year this past winter we had Call the Bee (a plumbing company we'd used in the…read morepast) come out for a whole house main drain clog. We received a call back right away and they sent out a technician that afternoon. He was clean, courteous & upfront about the plan to clear the clog and the companies pricing. After the snake didn't clear the clog he used a camera and then a water jet to clear our line. Unfortunately the problem returned very shortly after and having lost faith that Call The Bee was able to fix our problem we called another local company. They came out same day, cleared the line and charged approximately the same price. Feeling like we shouldn't have had to have another technician out so soon and incur another charge, we reached out to Call The Bee and spoke with them. Yes, we should have given them a chance to fix the problem instead of calling another company but as I stated, we'd lost faith in them. But, we , I, was wrong. They (Call The Bee) were more than responsive to our problem. Took the time to hear us and wanted the invoice from the second company we called. Lo and behold one week later a check for the ENTIRE amount of our second plumber (slightly over $1,000) was sent to us. Call the Bee truly did all they could to rectify the situation and leave us as satisfied customers.

My heat pump was blowing warm air on cool mode and cool air on heat mode…read more After having checked everything that was suspicious and not being able to identify what was causing the problem and exhausted, I called Call The Bee. It was O/B reversing valve setting on the thermostat that was causing the problem. My stupid housemate changed the setting without knowing what it does. I think this is a setting one can not intuitively think existing. Without related knowledge, it's like a setting that tells a heat pump to run in inverse. Also, of all the search results, videos, Reddit posts, no one mentioned to check O/B reversing valve setting. Anyway, a technician named Jonathan came, spent like 5 minutes at the thermostat and about an hour testing parts and stayed in his car, doing nothing work-related, for a little more than 30 minutes while his refrigerant pressure measuring device was running on my heat pump. At the end he said my thermostat configuration was wrong and asked me total of $380 (which he said was 15% discounted price). Normally, I try to solve problems myself, but I was exhausted and didn't want to bother about the heat pump anymore. I asked lower price, and ended up paying $330. While he was diagnosing the cause and fixing the problem, I saw many illogical behavior of him. 1. O/B reversing valve setting is the easiest thing and the first thing a technician should check when a heat pump runs in inverse. Jonathan did spend about 5 minutes at the thermostat right after he came in. At this point he must have known it was the wrong setting that was causing the problem. But instead of changing the setting and running the heat pump, he went on to test other parts. 2. He cut the insulation tape around the seams of my blower motor cabinet and tested blower motor. Why did he do that? Blower motor has nothing to do with heat pump running in inverse. 3. He checked inside the cabinet where my capacitor, contactor, etc. are installed. Does it have anything to do with a heat pump running in inverse? 4. He took out condensor fan and looked inside where my compressor was. What does it have to do with a heat pump running in inverse? 5. After he tested some parts, he asked me a few questions regarding my thermostat and did not pay attention to my answer at all as if the answers do not matter at all and he already knew what was causing the problem. 6. After payment, when I asked him what was wrongly figured on my thermostat, he told me it was the installation setting and I had better not know the detail as, if I know, and thus somehow change the setting, the problem will occur again and I wouldn't know how to change the setting back and would have to call a technician again. Can you believe what he said? It's obvious he didn't want the customer finds out he charged a few hundred dollars for one small change in the thermostat setting. He probably guessed it right what was causing the problem when he heard the problem and confirmed his guess was right at the beginning when he took a few minutes at the thermostat. What he did in my condo was all acting. Why did he do all the acting? 1. He thought asking a few hundred dollars just for changing a setting that takes 20 seconds was not something to be accepted by the customer. 2. He wanted to make the customer think he worked and therefore the money he is asking would sound reasonable. 3. If customer ever finds out the truth, he can claim that at least he did something. 4. He checked to see if there are some parts that need to be fixed so he can make money. 5. He had time to kill before next appointment. 6. If I think very positively, he may have felt a little bit of guilt which made him do testings on other parts. 7. etc. There are more. Why does he check refrigerant pressure twice? When not even once is needed? I don't want refrigerant leakage from my heat pump. There is something I'm unsure of. He did something many times that looked like cutting or grabbing with a tool to the wires of my blower motor. I wonder what that was for. I hope everyone who deceives people gets cancer.
