We live up on a steep hill and have always had trouble keeping up with our curb appeal. From idea conception, to design planning all the way through execution Ken and his team went above and beyond and more than impressed my husband and I in our very extensive backyard landscaping project. Our new build was a clean slate for Ken's creation and what started as me calling him to do some privacy/perimeter landscape turned into our own woodland wonderland. I'll called Ken at Total Concepts looking for info on a basketball surface and ended up removing 20 trees and re-designing the entire front and perimeter of our new property...as Phase 1! I had researched plenty of Landscape Architects, Engineers, Experts etc. But after our initial consultation with Ken, we found a partner in designing and MAINTAINING a quality and visually stunning landscaping package. Some years back I was planning on doing a major construction on my back yard in Wall N.J. I started off by using a landscape architect for a large project. After all the designs were done a gentlemen hired Mr. Ken Lerner to do the landscaping part of the job. Well after about two weeks watching Kenny in action, I had fired the architect and hired Kenny to take over then whole project. Once the completion off the project, my back yard was in Design New Jersey and was so incredible from the outside Kitchen that Kenny Built and The pool which Kenny designed was so Beautiful that I would sit under the waterfall for hours just loving what he had designed and built. To say I'm thrilled with my stunning landscaping, would be an understatement! Ken and his team are the definition of professionals. From the removal of all of the old trees and bushes, including a 35yr. old dead ash tree and a 15ft. Japanese Maple; saving a dwarf Japanese Maple to be replanted elsewhere to planting redbuds and crepe myrtles; boxwood; hosta; knockout roses, daylilies, barberries; etc., all planted with extreme care and a critical and seasoned eye for placement. The name says it all....Ken provided the TOTAL concept for a desperately needed redesign of our backyard. He really is like an artist and stopped by to see the property several times while iterating on the plan. He was completely open to our ideas and needs but provided the level of expertise that we needed. He wasn't looking to just get orders and go...he is really passionate about his work. We just completed a major project in the front of the house. The steps leading up to the front door needed to be replaced. Total Concepts created the most beautiful masonry and landscaping design. The project included the addition of a front porch (Suggested by Ken of Total Concepts). The finishing touch was the inclusion of the perfect lighting along the steps. Everything was just perfect.
