I have had small torn labrum for years that causes intermittent problems. I am a Pilates instructor, a swimmer, and an aerialist, so I use my upper body A LOT. Dr. John helped me get my shoulder out of a chronic state of annoyance into a calm and steady state where I don't really have to think about much if I keep it strong. It only took a few sessions and I just go back every now and then for maintenance. I highly recommend Dr. John. He is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. read more

Easy to schedule, friendly staff and most importantly great results. Highly recommend

This place is a joke. I have PPO insurance and they were unable to tell me my coverage, so I refused to schedule a 2nd appt. 5 months later, they try to bill me in full for the initial appt, without entering a claim into my insurance. During my first visit, I wasn't given the dry-needle technique I was told I'd get by phone. The quack there says "we'll consider that after a few sessions" right before asking to see me 3 time a week. Awful place. read more

Updated review 10/4/18: Andrea Shavitz is wonderful! The practice is warm, inviting and all encompassing. The chiropractic care is from head to toe, very invasive and thorough. Every need, want or desire is paid attention to and a comprehensive plan is personally made for you to succeed - from twice a week to a once a month maintenance plan. There's also an in house massage therapist (Shelley!) that MAY be covered by your insurance! I have to say, one of the best focused massages I've had. I'll preach that the massage is key to your chiropractic care and success. I've had a full body 60 minute, or even a 30 minute focused on the head/neck/shoulders when I had a nasty sinus infection - and it HELPS. On another note, Dr. Luke saved my feet. I've been a dancer my whole life and plantar fasciitis is such a nuisance. After multiple cortisone shots in each foot, the pain returned and I wasn't sure what to do. With a recommendation from Andrea, I started seeing Luke for dry needling (or more invasive acupuncture) twice a week. I can't say it's comfortable getting needles worked in the bottom of your foot, but it was worth it - the pain is GONE. I don't even have to think about it anymore, worry about taking that first step of the day, or just having agonizing pain getting out of my chair. About 8-10 treatments with Luke, and I'm pain free. If your looking for chiropractic care, reach no further. Make sure you tell them I referred you!! read more

Dr Andrea does awesome work, especially in the soft tissue. I wish I've gone to her sooner. The office is extremely clean and they keep their office sparkling clean and disinfected during COVID. I feel safe going here. read more

Dr.Luke is incredible! I recommend him to all of my family and friends. He is incr knowledgeable and really takes the time to fully understand any pain or issues you have. I recently moved to Chicago and had a hard time finding a Chiropractor that I liked. Once I found Total Balance I knew I was in good hands and won't go anywhere else. read more

Dr. Andrea is great! Welcoming, easy to schedule, takes most insurance.

I was very afraid of going to a chiropractor because I didn't want to be "cracked" into place and have it not work. However, Dr. Sarah Weber used the highest technology to show you me my initial scan and my progress every 6 weeks, which made it very practical to see what was going on with me. She also conducted a nutrition analysis and now has me on different digestive enzymes that are helping me to build my immune system. We have targeted the areas in my health that need improvement and we are slowly building my body back to homeostasis. I have more energy now than I did a year ago and my energy levels continue to improve. I am satisfied with my physical results, the friendliness and the consistency that Total Balance Chiropractic has provided me. read more

Shining reviews for a reason!! I had been going to a chiropractor my whole life (with about a 6 year hiatus). I've never experienced anyone like Dr. Weber. She's patient, smart and sincerely cares about my well being. I even feel like we could be friends! She's so comfortable to be around and talk to. I came back to chiropractic a mess!! After around 12 treatments my scans and overall self has improved!! Now on to upkeep and digestion! I'm really happy for the referral (from my acupuncturist Dr. Monique Wheeler) and I know that I am on a great path to improve my body and health!! Side note: Sarah at the front desk is a sweet addition to the positive energy at the office!! read more

I had never seen a chiropractor before. My lower back and hip pain was gone in 3 weeks with minimal discomfort. To my surprise my neck and shoulder stiffness also went away. This had been a significant issue for several years, which I had been treating with streching and massage with limited success. I am very pleased with Dr. Weber's care and treatment and would recommend her. She and her staff are very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. read more

Dr. Weber has been treating me for over a year now. I have visited a number of chiropractors throughout the Chicagoland and she is one of the best. I appreciate the holistic treatment I receive. It is never just a "back adjustment". I have gotten excellent advice regarding what I eat and drink, how to stretch before playing sports and to maintain flexibility, allergies, headaches, and a number of other ailments. A focus on health at every level customized to the needs of my body is exactly what a doctor should provide and it is what I find every time I visit Dr. Weber. In addition, the office staff is excellent. My busy schedule means that I often have to change my appointments. Every time I have to change an appointment, come in early, or call to say I am going to be late, the ladies who take my call are so accommodating. I encourage you to visit this office for your health needs! read more

I wanted to update my review, because I'm so proud of Dr. Sarah Weber. She's going to be on ABC News, talking about ergonomics in the workplace. Dr. Weber challenges herself to keep learning new chiropractic techniques, and by expanding the boundaries of wellness to prevention, hence, ergonomics. I have been seeing Dr. Weber for 5 years, even though she "fixed" my problem after just a few months. I am almost never sick -no flu or colds - and I feel great. Her staff, Susan and Amy are also wonderful caring people who really do want you to have a great day. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Total Balance. I became a patient there several years ago after breaking my pelvis in a bus accident. It was the only treatment that stopped -- yes, I mean completely -- my chronic residual pain. Before going to TB, I couldn't stand for more than 20 mins, I couldn't exercise, and I was always uncomfortable/in some level of pain. Fast forward to 2016, I ran the Chicago marathon and I truly believe I wouldn't have been able to do it (or to recover) without TB. In 2017 I became pregnant with twins! I had a very easy, pain free, healthy pregnancy and again, I owe it to the care and treatment at TB. Now I am post Partum and getting adjusted back to my normal self. My 3 month old boys are also getting adjusted and I've noticed an improvement in their digestion. read more

Dr. Luke and the entire team here are incredible. I came in skeptical of chiropractic, but with a neck issue I could no longer live with. I also happened to mention wrist pain I had for years just in case he could help. After a thorough initial visit, Luke detailed a 4 week plan for me to correct both issues. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he could correct both within 4 weeks. Although I began to feel improvement after just 1 week. As someone who was hesitant to try chiropractics, I will proudly say I am now a believer. Total Balance Chiropractic has been a life saver and I would recommend this practice and Dr. Luke to anyone who wants to better their body and quality of life. read more

Total Balance Chiropractic is legit. It's the real deal. Look no further. Take my word, I've been there and done that... Dr. Sarah (chiropractor and digestive specialist) is knowledgeable, caring, thorough, and, also, importantly, upfront about her charges and willing to work with you and provide all needed forms and proof when insurance and FSA drama kick-in. I must also mention that she was very reasonable and compassionate working with my limited resources. She works diligently to lesson her recommended number of visits as patients improve. Dr. Sarah is the real deal. She takes into account all aspects of my health - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual. I feel that I can talk to her. In fact, as someone else said, I feel as though we could be friends! She is dynamic. While personable and friendly, she is no nonsense and performs very specific, calculated adjustments; whereas other chiropractors I've been to have over-adjusted me. Dr. Sarah's chiropractic method is such that sometimes I go in and she checks me out and finds that she does not need to adjust me! I have never.. I am convinced that Dr. Sarah is truly looking to get me "totally-balanced"! :) She is also helping me improve my digestion. I underwent an initial digestive analysis and have received subsequent prescription of digestive enzymes, which has helped me heal from the inside. My improvement with these supplements under her care has been dramatic. I must add.. Sarah in the front office is delightful and lovely. She brightens my day! To boot, Dr. Sarah's office is beautiful. No harm spending a bit of time there. Do this. GO THERE. You will not regret it. History I was in car accident, rear-ended on freeway in 2008. I received outstanding help from Dr. Foudy in Orange County, CA -- highly recommend him. He is caring, upfront and thorough. Then I moved to Chicago in 2012. In Spring 2014 I found Dr. Sarah after working with three other chiropractors in the city. read more

This is the place to go for all your pain needs. The staff is very professional and make you feel welcome. I particularly love Sarah Fiorello, the office manager. Reason why I love this place is because it is a full service office. There is no need running to three different establishments to get medical/ pain assistance. I see Dr. Luke Gellis and he is phenomenal. He makes sure that I feel better than when I come in because he employs not only chiropractic maneuvers but also acupuncture and physical therapy; and massage as well (if necessary). One can't ask for a better Chiropractor. I highly recommend Total Balance Chiropractic for all your pain exigencies. read more

Dr. Andrea has been unbelievably helpful. She quickly identified my problem and then solved it. So many chiropractors out there are dishonest and looking to take advantage of people. Dr. Andrea and her staff have been consistently honest, easy to work with, and always recommending exactly what I need to see improvement - no more no less! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Dear Yelper Singles and Families, I have found your Chiropractor. When I first went to Total Balace I did not know what to expect. I had gone to a Chiropractor before, but it was a sterile office experience and I never went back. Dr. Weber took time to get to know my history and began to explain why getting adjustments are so important. She was so caring and compassionate that I decided that I should get everyone in the family checked. We are a family of 3 (one of us is a toddler) and are regular patients. She desires to follow my son as he grows up and watch his spine grow through baseball, martial arts, etc., to ensure that there are no problems that arise without our awareness. Dr. Weber doesn't just treat you like you're just another patient before the next visit, she genuinely cares about the work that she does and your well being. 5 stars doesn't do justice http://www.getfave.com/locations/97672-total-balance-chiropractic read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Weber since 2007. Not only have my back issues improved, but my overall health is better. When I first started going to Dr. Weber, I was in the throes of one 9-month-long sinus infection that ultimately required two surgeries in two months to cure. Since that time, I have been healthier, gotten over illnesses quicker, and without antibiotics! This was truly a first for me. I credit Total Balance for helping me find my health again. It sounds cliche, but Dr. Weber truly cares about the overall health of each patient and provides the resources and treatment to enable us to feel better and be healthier. Dr. Weber and the entire Total Balance team are excellent to work with! read more

Dr. Andrea is one of the best chiropractors I've been to and I have been coming to this office for what seems a year now. They have great massage therapists and Sarah at the front desk is stellar. I always leave in a better mood due to how friendly everyone is. They helped me walk better with custom inserts and working out is better on my flat feet. Lastly, they don't try to push products to the point where it's uncomfortable but rather provide information and options. read more

I had some tailbone pain and Dr Luke showed me some exercises over a virtual visit. He was WONDERFUL. He was very understanding, knowledgeable and amazing to work with. He went over some great techniques I can do at home during quarantine and I can already feel a difference. Dr Luke is the best. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

I met Dr. Sarah Weber about 5-6 years ago. I had never been to a Chiropractor and didn't really think I needed one. Then....my lower back went out. I had my back go out before, tried pain pills, physical therapy and occasional massage, but they were all temporary solutions. I decided to try Dr. Weber and Total Balance Chiropractic. I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with Dr. Weber. I also became such a believer in her work that I started using her experience to help other health issues beyond my back. Taking this holistic approach to my health has helped me in many ways and I would highly recommend her to anyone. She simply is THE BEST!! read more

I just returned from another adjustment with Dr. Sarah Weber. I'm still her patient 2 years later and my body feels great. My back and neck continue to do well - I no longer fear that I will suddenly "throw" my back out. I can still exercise regularly with no pain. I've also noticed that I feel so much less stressed after an adjustment. Dr. Weber's care has such a huge impact on my health and my life, I can't recommend her enough. read more

I love Total Balance Chiropractic. The office and the staff are amazing. Dr Weber is the best and I love her approach to health. She educates you on how stress and nutrition play a role in what is going wrong with your body. I have to admit the thought of getting adjusted made me nervous at first but it was a breeze and I felt better instantly. read more

Dr. Luke is amazing. He really listens to what you concerns are and I feel completely revived upon leaving my treatments. The office is great and the staff are absolutely wonderful. Also, highly recommended during pregnancy. read more

Was looking for a chiropractor in the area for bad lower back pain. To be honest, I came across this place and figured I'd call because of the amazing reviews. When I spoke with Sarah over the phone I immediately knew this is where I wanted to come because she was very sweet and concerned about my pain. With my first visit, Dr. Shavitz openly listened to my pain, concerns-- and guided me the direction to be pain free. I have never felt so comfortable and "at home" at a doctors office as I did here. After my second visit my pain was gone by at least 80%. A month later... I am pain free! I have already recommended 2 new patients because i was so pleased with my treatment and now my friends are pain free too! read more

Dr. Weber is fantastic. I have seen major improvements in my back and neck pain as well as my quality of sleep from regular adjustments, but I am even more grateful for her expertise in digestion. I've been struggling with my diet for a few years and have had little success in finding a solution. After listening to her explanation of how my body works as a whole to use food as energy I finally felt like someone was understanding my problems specifically and not just categorizing me. After the initial consultation, I finally felt confident in finding a solution. Two months later, I understand what my body needs and what it struggles with. I have supplements to help, but I finally have the knowledge to make good choices in my diet for my body specifically. Every time I see Dr. Weber for an adjustment she follows up on my progress with my digestion. It feels great to know that she is as invested in my success and well being as I am. read more

Friendly and helpful Chiropractic office. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes when showing up at my appointment times.

I love everything about coming to Total Balance Chiropractic. I love the staff and how knowledgeable and passionate they are about health, chiropractic and nutritional. Though I started going to Dr. Sarah for a hip problem, I have reaped the benefits of better posture and quicker recovery from a sinus cold. I not only visited Dr. Sarah, but Dr. Riley as well. Dr. Riley worked on my muscles and then gave me great core exercises that will help me improve my posture and make me stronger and able to handle the stresses that I put my body through. I work out pretty intensely and I often have to lift heavy objects for my job. It's been 7 months since I started going to these wonderful doctors. I still do the posture exercises because they actually help the tingling go away and I notice a huge improvement in my posture. I am now very aware of how I should be standing and how it should feel to be in good posture. Quite often Dr, Sarah says that she wants me to be able to exercise and run and that I should be able to! Some doctors just tell me to stop running. Dr. Sarah and Dr. Riley understand my need to exercise for my physical and mental health. read more

I love Dr. Sarah! I used to see a chiropractor when I was younger, and decided to come back due to really frequent headaches. It's 3 weeks later and I've just had 2 headaches since, when I normally would have had 6+. They are so friendly here, and make sure to greet everyone by name. Dr. Sarah explained everything to me so that I always know what she is doing and why. I love love coming here! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Sarah for five years. She is very thurough and much fun to work with. She was great to keep me in line during my pregnancies. Both of my kids see her now and she is wonderful with them. My daughter has had uneven hips/legs since she was an infant. The pediatrician recommended that we get an ultrasound but didn't have any recommendations when the ultrasound came back normal. Dr. Sarah was able to "balance" her hips in a few treatments. read more
