This is the actuator...do not have to pull transmission out

Call them to look at my washing machine and they charged me $89 to say it's the motor. Didn't look at any of the parts, didn't make the sound that it normally make, nothing, just said it's the motor and it would be $300-$500 to replace. Looking online for the same problem found out on several sites it could be the actuator which is a $26 part and 4 screws to remove and replace it. Took all of 5 minutes for 3 guys on 3 different pages to replace, Robert (the supervisor) is still saying it l'll $300-$500 to replace. Remove 4 screws and 2 parts...that's it. $300-$500. The scam is charge you $89 service fee say it the motor and say it'll cost you $300-$500 to replace. And anything dealing with it will cost the same.

Mary's Appliance

(203 reviews)

My LG front load washer was making some terrible noises. Called Mary's Appliance based on Yelp…read morereviews. - Answered the phone promptly. - Fit me in with 24 hours - Diagnosed quickly and provided an estimate that was comparable to what I was expecting from internet searches. - Reasonable diagnostic fee that applied towards final repairs - Shared other random appliance related advice like buying leak detectors from Amazon and how to best prevent the slime build up you get in front load washers - Genuinely a nice guy and I felt 100% safe being in my house with him - Weeks later and everything is working just like it should be. There are some "different" things about working with Mike. It appears to just be him, so everything is handled a little loosely. Most communications are through text. I did most of the following up since we had to wait to order parts. He answers the phone "appliance repair" so I had to confirm I was speaking with Mary's. Preferred to be paid with a check. None of this was a deal breaker - just not my usual experience. I would absolutely use Mary's Appliance again. Mike nicely asked me if he could put a sticker with his information on my dryer. Since is said yes, his number is handy for me when/if I need him again. Thanks, Mike!

Came out to fix fridge, was not cooling. Replaced compressor, worked for 45 days. Not cooling…read moreanymore. Now they want to charge a service fee AGAIN to come repair. They say labor is only covered for 30days. I will tell u, if the soldering wasnt done correctly with a small leak, the coolant will slowly leak out just pass 30 days and they can repeat the process. CROOKS!!!!! What a SCAM! Do NOT USE!
