Why would anyone use this rag-tag outfit for blood work? There are other labs in Washington, people, don't waste your time and money on Quest. You will be treated badly and not in a very timely fashion. Especially if you're lucky enough to draw Myla as your phlebotomist.Then, you're in for a treat. This woman told my wife, after waiting a half hour past her appointment time, that her codes weren't right for her test. So we went back up to the Dr.'s office and was told the codes were absolutely correct. We then went back down to the lab and knocked on the door (as we were directed to do). She came to the door shaking her head as though we were putting her out, in some way. Then, she again told us the codes were wrong, to which we replied, can you call them and tell them what you're looking for? Myla said its a waste of her time. It would take her ten minutes. WTF? Back to the Dr.'s we went. They told us she needed to refresh her computer, but when we got back down to the lab (the third time) my wife was told that her data had been erased and she needed new blood work orders. I think I might have been in the chair for thirty seconds when "Kayla" called me. She was professional and pleasant. I'm one of those people with needle anxiety, so Kayla's no nonsense approach to get me in and out of there quickly helped a lot with my anxiety. Wow, she is a pro at it, finding the right "spot" easily (not usually the case for me) and with an accurate aim. Yep, it hurt a little, but not the worst I've ever had. I hate it when they try to put you at ease, I guess, so they chat with you while they casually go ahead setting things up and then they talk with you, telling you you're going to feel a little "stick" etc. I'm always thinking - shut up with the small talk and get this over with! This time I was seen within minutes. I gave the co-pay and she took my blood. The used a thick rubber band to take my bloodwork. The wrap she used afterwards was the elastic type I appreciate (doesn't stick to my Wookiee arm hair). Then quick bathroom visit (regular labs) and I was done. The whole visit was less than 15 minutes and highly professional care.

My wait time was about 5 minutes. The technician was gentle and pain free. They are always pleasant. Thanks to their help, I was able to provide good pharmacokinetic (drug concentration in the blood steam) to the sponsor of the study.
