I was staring longingly at their specials posted on the window, but I saw they were closing in half an hour. I didn't want to disturb them, so I made a mental note to come back. I was just about to leave when the owners' son, Antonin, stepped outside and asked if I wanted to come in for food. I was starving and didn't need much convincing. I was the only customer, and I was treated like a VIP. As a dog lover, I absolutely adored their whimsical French Bulldog decor created with a 3D printer. You can even purchase one to take home. Sinful Crepes is open for breakfast and lunch. The menu is divided into sweet and savory crepes. You can build your own or choose one of their signature crepes. I chose the La Parisienne, a delicate, rich crepe with roast beef, melted cheese, cornichons, lettuce, and tomato. They added honey mustard for me, and all of the crepes are customizable. The perfectly toasted crepe arrived chock-full of savory filling, and I enjoyed it down to the last scrumptious bite. The sweet crepes they offered to make me were very tempting, but I was too full. They sell tea, lemonades, smoothies, milk shakes, waffles, and sweet and savory crepes. The crepes with fresh fruit and ice cream looked amazing but I was still full from lunch. I ended up ordering a strawberry tea with mango popping boba. It took awhile to make but I think it is just because they put so much care in crafting their drinks. After you order they give you a beeper that goes off when it is ready. My strawberry drink was amazing and worth the wait. It's more of a to-go coffee place than a sit down given the limited seating, and not really a place that encourages lingering for too long. They make very good iced coffee, we asked the waitress for the brand (LaVazzo) and we bought a bag ourselves after we got home. The crepe was somewhat lackluster, the crepe itself came out soggy instead of fluffy, and the jam was also very watery and didn't have much flavor. Servers were very busy, so service was just ok. We were originally going to get coffee to go, but changed our mind at the last minute while ordering, and was told that we would have to be rung up as sit-down service if we chose to sit. Which we didn't mind at all, but the man at the counter was very curt about it.

No frisée or yard plants here, thank goodness. I got their blue cheese dressing that was rich and chunky. The salad was large and very good. This is a luncheonette/diner style place. Casual but comfortable. They had a good breakfast menu as well as an extensive lunch one. And we also had very good service from Laurie (sp?). My girlfriend and I probably spent nearly a thousand dollars at this place over the course of two years. Toward the end I did think it was odd that only one of the cold cases was being used to store gelato. At first the owner said the one case was broken. But month after month passed and it was always "broken." He would have 8-10 flavors available for sale and that was it. Doesn't seem like enough for a place that specializes in gelato. Anyway, one day we go to this place and there's a sign saying it's temporarily closed for some remodeling or whatever. Weeks go by and I occasionally drop by to check on the status. About two months go by and I visit only to find that it's no longer Capricci. Apparently, the owner sold his business. Instead of being just a gelato place, now it's an "everything-under-the-sun" place. You can order crepes, sandwiches, blah, blah, blah. I walked in for giggles and the guy working behind the counter just didn't seem like entrepreneur material. I walked out without ordering anything and will not be visiting that retail location ever again...unless something completely new and different moves in. Don't know what happened to the old Capricci and its owners but it really seems like they gave up on a good business. Really disappointing.
