After a couple of months of considering, I made an appointment. I arrived at their facility and checked in with the front desk. From that point through the original check up and the following visit I have been so impressed and feel so comfortable. I have never felt that about a dentist office. I have had some real bad experiences in the past but I have finally found a place that I can look forward to going and feel comfortable doing it. Thank you so much and we will see you again soon! They've typically gone above and beyond, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I've had to reschedule my three kids' cleanings a couple of times due to illness, and this time I left work early and picked my kids up from school early to make our 2:00 PM appointment. My middle daughter was delayed returning from a field trip, so as soon as we got her, we headed straight to the office. I called right away to let them know we'd be about 10 minutes late, and was told there is a strict 10-minute policy. I said I would do my best to make it within that window. We arrived and walked in at exactly 2:10 PM, but were immediately told we'd have to reschedule. I explained the situation and asked if there was any flexibility--even just to have two of my kids seen--but was told no. I understand having policies in place, but it was frustrating that there was zero flexibility, especially when we made every effort to get there and communicated ahead of time. What made it more disappointing is that we've had multiple visits where we've waited 10+ minutes to be seen without issue. It felt like there wasn't the same consideration given in return. After years of being loyal patients, this experience was really disheartening, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

The gums became infected and then one day the nerve touched the infection and I felt a pain I had never experienced....and I have four children. I was desperate and called JL Dental. Dr. Laura Mears fit me in right away and everyone in the office was amazing. After getting rid of the infection she brought me in for a root canal. It really was a breeze. She and her assistant were kind, gentle, and explained every step as they did it. I felt very comfortable and I am extremely pleased with the care I received. I will go back for my crown and will likely continue my care to avoid emergencies in the future.

I told them I don't believe in root canals with all the info out there on them and my previous dentist (who moved states) also didn't agree with doing them and they literally laughed at me. said the dentist must have wanted to go a more expensive route... I left there after 2 hours, yes, just for a cleaning, with a treatment plan of $3900!! that's with insurance. I couldn't believe it. I went and got a 2nd opinion from a dentist who didn't take my insurance and walked away with a successful filling (no root canal needed) and only $110. ** Be aware of what they say needs to be done! Might be to pay for all their unnecessary technology equipment **

Procedures are exorbitantly priced and seem like overkill to justify a 'digital' system. I asked for a quote before my experience - it was less than half the actual price. But wait, theres more! Payment is expected in full - and there are no options for a payment plan. You can buy one of their personal Payment Advantage Plans to make up the difference. I have been seeing a dentist at this location for over 40 years, and the third time (third dentist change) is a charm as I will not be coming back. I cant afford to. Let's just call this what it is, jacked up, corporate sponsored highway robbery.
