After a couple of months of considering, I made an appointment. I arrived at their facility and checked in with the front desk. From that point through the original check up and the following visit I have been so impressed and feel so comfortable. I have never felt that about a dentist office. I have had some real bad experiences in the past but I have finally found a place that I can look forward to going and feel comfortable doing it. Thank you so much and we will see you again soon! They've typically gone above and beyond, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I've had to reschedule my three kids' cleanings a couple of times due to illness, and this time I left work early and picked my kids up from school early to make our 2:00 PM appointment. My middle daughter was delayed returning from a field trip, so as soon as we got her, we headed straight to the office. I called right away to let them know we'd be about 10 minutes late, and was told there is a strict 10-minute policy. I said I would do my best to make it within that window. We arrived and walked in at exactly 2:10 PM, but were immediately told we'd have to reschedule. I explained the situation and asked if there was any flexibility--even just to have two of my kids seen--but was told no. I understand having policies in place, but it was frustrating that there was zero flexibility, especially when we made every effort to get there and communicated ahead of time. What made it more disappointing is that we've had multiple visits where we've waited 10+ minutes to be seen without issue. It felt like there wasn't the same consideration given in return. After years of being loyal patients, this experience was really disheartening, and unfortunately, we will not be returning.

Then the worst thing happened. My tooth broke and even though I babied it for months so I wouldn't have to go see a dentist, it eventually fought back. The gums became infected and then one day the nerve touched the infection and I felt a pain I had never experienced....and I have four children. I was desperate and called JL Dental. Dr. Laura Mears fit me in right away and everyone in the office was amazing. After getting rid of the infection she brought me in for a root canal. It really was a breeze. She and her assistant were kind, gentle, and explained every step as they did it. I felt very comfortable and I am extremely pleased with the care I received. I will go back for my crown and will likely continue my care to avoid emergencies in the future.

My husband was…read moredue first and when he came home from his cleaning appointment he kept saying " they are really nice but the whole process was strange" over and over again. Today was my cleaning appointment... I was called back and the two assistants took my panoramic xray and then pointed to a room and said " youre going to be in there", so I walk into the room and seat myself- wait a few moments and then the same two assistants came back to take a full mouth xray. As they were finishing, the doctor came in and introduced herself, examined my teeth and said everything looked great. Then the hygienist came in, took measurements of my gums and then said "ok the doctor will be in shortly". I thought it was strange since I had already seen the doctor but I waited a little while longer and then the first assistant came in and polished and flossed my teeth. Again I thought that was weird, in my experience that always happened AFTER the cleaning. When she was finished she said " let's go up front and get you scheduled for your cleaning". I told her I thought that's what I was here for and she explained that they only have one hygienist on staff except for Wednesdays when they have two. I was literally there for an hour and twenty minutes but I never had a cleaning. The front desk tried to schedule my cleaning for tomorrow but I will not be going back, the time management at this office is HORRIFIC. If you don't have to worry about your schedule and how many times you have to go for a cleaning then sure this is the place for you but for normal people who have to take time out of our day for these kind of appointments I would highly highly suggest going elsewhere as this office does NOT care about your time.

Being they are listed as a pediatric dentist, I'm pretty surprised this isn't already a no-brainer policy - minors should definitely be accompanied by their parents at all times... for everyone's sake and liability.
