Had a crown fall out and they fit me right in. I had it back in within the half hour. Courteous, friendly, and gentle as usual.

Having just moved back to St. Louis from the east coast, I unfortunately did not have a dentist…read morewhen I took a 6X6 wood post to the face during a construction job. One of my 6 veeners (one right in the front, of course) was the unfortunate casualty. I made a couple of appointments for consultations in the area, one of which was at Ballas Dental Care. I had feared that I would need to replace more than one veneer in order to get them to match, but when I spoke with Dr. Haines, he seemed certain that he would only need to replace the chipped one. His chill personality and understated confidence made me believe he was the man for the job...and apparently I'm an amazing judge of character and skill because the replacement he put in blended seamlessly with the existing 10-year-old ones. :) Side note: I also received my first ever filling at Ballas Dental Care and have concluded that the dread that I felt every 6 months that my cavity-less streak would end was completely unwarranted. The process was very quick and nearly painless. Overall, I love the staff: from the doctor, to the hygienists, to the front desk folks and would highly recommend Ballas Dental Care.

However, this facility does not have any privacy and has a fully open floor plan. They don't even utilize partitians. The online pictures are fake. The online room layout pictures are also fake. Also, from my understanding the new office building will be even more open. So, if your looking for a quiet, private and calm experience, look elsewhere. I am autistic level 2 and this dentist office is not for people like me.

I needed a root canal and was referred to Sage Endodontics. I've never had this type of dental…read morework performed on me before, but I have a vivid memory of my mother crying after she had a root canal some 50 years ago. After reading other reviews that all indicated how quick and relatively pain free this procedure was at Sage Endododontics, and reminding myself I've had two total knee replacements, with months of pain, I assured myself that this wasn't going to be too bad. I was still nervous about it. I shouldn't have been. From the time I called for an appointment to the actual root canal, everything went smoothly. The staff couldn't have been nicer, or the process easier. When I called for the appointment I was told since I had no dental insurance that the cost would be $1700 and that was all inclusive. I arrived early, and was told that the person scheduled before me never showed up, so I was taken earlier than my appointment time. First, they took some x-rays in the chair, and then led me to an adjacent room where they took 360 degree x-rays. I returned to the chair and the assistant put the x-rays on a small illuminated viewer for Dr. Corretjer to review. (They referred to her by her middle name, Dr. Garcia). She came in a few minutes later and looked at the x-rays and asked me if I had any questions. I only had one, "How long will the procedure take?" She said, "About 20 minutes." Amazing! I was offered a blanket, which I accepted, as well as watching Netflix or the HG channel while the procedure was done. I decided just to close my eyes and try to relax while it happened. I was told by the assistant that if I felt any pain to raise my hand, and if I needed them to suction any excess salava to raise my index finger. During the root canal I didn't have either of those things happen. They put what looked like dark sunglasses over my regular glasses and then Dr. Garcia applied some numbing gel to my gums. Then she injected the local anesthetic in 3 spots around the affected tooth. Even the injections were about half the pain I remembered having when I had a crown installed years ago. My root canal only took 20 minutes as predicted by Dr. Garcia. Other than the numbing injections, it was completely painless. When it was done, they took a few more x-rays in the chair, and that was that. I was given a sheet of post operative instructions, and told I could return in a year for a complimentary follow-up exam. I was directed to contact my dentist to have a permanent filling put in within 2-4 weeks. If you need a root canal I highly recommend Sage Endodontics as the place to have it done. I had a five star experience there.

BEWARE of Insurance Charges, I only gave this one star because the staff was so nice and…read moreaccommodating. I had 2 insurances and one of the insurances was going to end at the end of November. I had one root canal that needed to be redone and I wanted to make sure that I completed this before one of the insurances canceled. They should have been able to submit to both insurances and my payment would have been minimal. I had another root canal that also had to be redone right after this one and I knew that I would receive bill for the 2nd one in full. The day I walked out at the end of November, I asked specifically to the Dr. Maher and the receptionist (for billing purposes) that they had completed the first redo of the root canal in it's entirety and they both said YES, then I asked do you need anything more from me and they said NO. A few days into December I came in for the 2nd one to have redone. I received a bill 3 months later stating that nothing had been submitted in November due to the first redo was not done until December. I called them and stated that I asked Dr. Maher personally that he had everything done and needed to finish billing the insurance in November and said that he agreed. The billing person stated that the tooth was not done until December (they can't bill until the tooth is completed). I was devastated after asking personally about this and receiving over a $1000 bill for something that I should have only received about half. I could not believe it! Make sure you get anything in writing from them, as a conversation meant nothing.
