One of my associations had a twilight golf event here and Miner Hills was terrific to deal with, they easily worked with us on the catering and food service. A short 9-hole course that's not as easy as you might expect…read more Miner Hills is a family run course (and driving range) that has a very friendly staff. The atmosphere is laid back, as this is very much a course that's welcoming to the general public. It's a Par 30 with six par 3's and three par 4's. Every hole is under 300 yards. However, the par 4 7th is straight uphill and the par 3 before it plays close to 200 yards uphill from the white tees. The course is kept in fairly good condition and there was a crew leaf-blowing when I played there. It's hard to play with a yellow ball and hit into all those leaves! While there are not too many hazards here, most of the fairways and approaches are relatively narrow. There are some small greens too and the slopes can be tough to judge. The prices are fair, but when I saw a deal of $9 for 18 holes and a cart (seriously?!) on GolfNow, I could not pass it up. I believe the rate is usually $21 or so. The cart also had a lot of pep. Probably the fastest cart I've used on any course! I will be coming back here in the future!

Pros: -9 hole course with carts for $30-35 a person…read more-Every hole is different and a mix of difficulties Cons: - Most of the greens are cooked, the are scalped down to dirt in 25%-50% of the total green - The fairways and rough is very tall, I've never played on a course where I can't find my ball on the fairway - Pro shop is small offers very limited balls and brands - A good portion of the Tee Boxes are just dirt and gravel, great way to destroy your drivers. I would only play here if it's the only place you can get a Tee-Time.

Just be prepared to walk alot and to sweat! The course is larger than I expected so it is a lot of walking and maneuveribg. Add in a hot day June day and it's exhausting It's really great to see the players and have a variety of fun things to do Drinks were expensive like at a concert venue. $10.50 for a coors light and $4.50 for water. Got a decent turkey sandwich and a friend has the Southwest burger. He said that was unexpectedly delicious. Bottom line to really enjoy the day is dress cool, bring a cooling towel, wear waking shoes and brings lots of cash for food and drinks. I'm definitely going back

They advertised their fall rate of $45 for 18 holes with a cart…read more We made tee times for 8 senior golfers, and when we arrived from as far away as 50 minutes, we were charged $50. They should have taken the $45 and told us that the future price would be higher. No apologies were offered. In fact, the Manager (a lady) was rude and arrogant. She claimed they were the cheapest (false) and best conditioned (false) course in the area. I informed her that we play all over the state and she is neither cheap nor top conditioned course. In fact we used to play there 5-10 times a year before they raised the prices nearly 100% over the last 5 years, and only went there today because the advertised price was more reasonable. The course was nearly empty but it was windy. There was no drinking water or ball washers. Leaves were every where. The carts are sub standard. They use yellow flags on the greens and there is no way to know if the pin is in the front back or middle. I play 100 rounds a year and we used to enjoy this course, and considered it a value and centrally located. I understand their costs have gone up but no more than other courses, Our players come from Milford, Oxford, Burlington, The shore line and eastern CT. We are retired on fixed incomes and look for value so we thought we would take a chance with their new advertised fall rate. The regular summer prices here are exorbitant for a course that is no better than average no matter what the manager thinks.
