(The coarse was wet but I'd take that any day over dry!) I asked the Ranger on the first tee how to navigate as there was no map or hole markers at the tee boxes. He said just follow the cart path except for two areas & sure enough, we got lost twice & asked other golfers. As a first timer, I would have given it five stars except for the lack of hole identification.

Difficulty: 9/10 This is one of the more challenging courses in the state. Very narrow fairways & challenging greens, with lots of water features and thick brush. Service: 10/10 There we're 2 cart girls when we played who came around frequently. They even provided the number for the cafe to pick up lunch at the turn- loved that!! Members of the pro shop were professional and courteous. Price: $85-110/round. Affordable lunch, drinks, and snacks! Pro Shop: 8/10 Lots to pick from here! They had awesome vest, quarter-zips, hats, and more! I was surprised with the lack of variety: no lefty clubs, very limited women's collection (gloves, shirts, skirts). Overall, we loved the way the logo looked on everything! Pace of Play: 4 hours 30 minutes. I've played at Oxford Greens a few times now. Be prepared for slow play. They have a great starter who lets people out timely and rangers monitoring play. Seems as though things get slowed due to the difficulty of the course, nonetheless playing here is guaranteed to be a blast!

Tee boxes were a mess, dirt and mud dominated the designated teeing areas on most holes. Fairways were soggy in many places ... even though there hadn't been significant rain in three days. Greens were very slow and not well maintained - unrepaired ball marks, etc. Finally let's talk cost - $128.50 to ride 18. There are several municipal courses in the area that play better, are in better shape, and cost less. The only highlights were the friendly staff - starter, cashier, drink cart driver, and cart wranglers. Management needs to fix the course before they can demand these prices.

It's like a different place altogether. The fairways are now covered in actual grass. The greens putt consistently and at a proper speed for amateur golf. The tee boxes are decent, and the sand traps have actual sand in them! Even the two putting greens near the clubhouse are pleasant and well-kept. While we didn't partake in food, they do have a menu available. I really like how the stalls were paired so that there were two stall in each room making it perfect for hosting events. I didn't have much success in hitting at angles so I suggest that you hit straight on all shots and just move the mouse so that you are pointed in the direction that you're hitting. I also recommend the maximum putting gimmie range as short putts are challenging as the depth within 6 yards is tough to get a feel for. I also had a challenge with chips and don't recommend putting from off the green even if it's fairway. After 1 hour we were able to complete 5 holes as a foursome so I'd recommend 3 hours to play 18 holes and throw in a gimmie per 9 for hits the computer is too penal on.

Biggest issues I had was a ball that was perfectly still not moving would be registered as a hit. So good thing we had mulligans on to reset this or it would tank your score during a 9/18 hole play through. The only issue I had with the screen/ball net is there was a hole right in the center of the screen which also caused the screen to wrinkle up due to the hole. This should really be replaced. The overall cost is about the same for any other simulator in the area. 4/5
