It's not a 5-Star resort golf range but it offers the services you need to work on your drive. They also have a small miniature golf area too. The owner seems very sociable when a conversation was started with him by other pateons. Prices are VERY reasonable and I was able to get some more use out of my clubs before the winter hit. It wasnt very busy when I went after work so I was able to spread out far enough to socially distance. It's easy to get to and it's right off a main road the leads right in/out of Waterbury. If you are looking a quick and low priced place to stop to work on your swing, Prospect Driving Range isn't a bad option. I will definetly be back again when the weather gets warm again.

Farmingbury Hills is a 9-hole golf course. The golf course is carved into Southington Mountain. The parking lot is LARGE so parking is plentiful. The course has the East Street Eatery located on its premises for a food option. Unfortunately when we went last Sunday the restaurant wasn't open (perhaps COVID related) but the food has been generally very good when I've eaten there (except for one Easter dinner debacle). My cousin booked ahead on the site for a tee time and prepaid $10 (although you can call to reserve as well if you want). When we arrived we were in the parking lot gathering our belongings. We were 10 minutes early but had to wait for one party member. We went to the man to check in. We were one minute late and the man had said that he just crossed off the list. We explained that were gathering our belongings. He was unhappy but said that he would add us back in after the party after us started. No worries for us, not in a rush. It was absolutely our fault that we were late but thought that tee times usually had a minute or two leeway. So found it a bit odd. The rest of our interaction with the man was pleasant after that. I recommend to take the cart for this course. It's a bit rough to walk. It's very hilly and it has a lot if up/down. I'm a hiker and I see myself getting tired walking the course (and keeping pace for the party behind us). The course is beautiful during the season when I've driven by and it was still in decent shape in December. One of the holes gave me a bit of scare as a new golfer because you have to golf over Old Mountain Road which is pretty active and one angle hit to could be a YIKES but I did fine, and got a beauty right across to the green below. I waited for the least busiest point to hit the ball just in case (no cars when I hit it). One of the next holes you have the option of playing up a Hill and getting the ball trapped past a mound to play from there or a hole that you could play from the side. We voted to play the hole from the side. All in all it was a beautiful day. Next time I might play the course 2x for a full 18 hole experience.

Where to begin?…read more Let's start with the process. Easy-peasy to use their scheduler, make a change in date. Done. Then the fitting itself. Connor Murray was assigned to me. The boy knows his stuff! Whether it was the latest equipment, using the Tracer to analyze my swing mechanics, or giving a couple of tips on swing path (without giving instruction, since he doesn't yet have his credential and I don't want to get him in trouble, haha), he knows what he's doing and talking about. And last, there's the Ethics and Integrity thing. After spending sufficient time watching me, Connor's suggestion was to work a bit on my swing and maybe take a couple of lessons, rather than buying expensive new equipment. He said he could sell me something, but Chris's (Cote, the owner, I presume) philosophy (and his, Connor's, as a credentialed PGM club fitter) is to only sell equipment if it's going to improve what's in the bag. Connor said the clubs I have are excellent, fitted to me, and there's no newer technology that he could sell me that would be an upgrade to what I already own. He gave me a big bucket of balls, his card, and the card of their head pro instructor with a suggestion to set up a couple of lessons. Call me jaded, but in an age where someone's always trying to sell me something I don't really need, this not only impressed me but has now turned me into a raving fan of his and Chris Cote's Golf!

Overall my experience was alright. They use 3Trak software for the launch monitor and system. It appears to be semi-accurate. Biggest issues I had was a ball that was perfectly still not moving would be registered as a hit. So good thing we had mulligans on to reset this or it would tank your score during a 9/18 hole play through. The only issue I had with the screen/ball net is there was a hole right in the center of the screen which also caused the screen to wrinkle up due to the hole. This should really be replaced. The overall cost is about the same for any other simulator in the area. 4/5

He is very knowledgable and is very good explaining at concepts along with how to improve. My evaluation session was impressive and I am looking forward to my future training/teaching and practice sessions. GolfTec offers the ability to view and record on video to help evaluate your swing while in training or during your practice. It is very helpful to be able to view your swing real-time and make changes to help improve. There is also an indoor putting green that is available. You want to improve, you should check it out. Hogan's Cider Mill is located on freshly cut, beautiful green grass and plenty of it, in the small, rural town of Burlington, Connecticut. If you had no idea Connecticut had a town called Burlington, well Hogan's will be your intro to it. What an absolutely adorable place and so picturesque! The truck with every imaginable sized pumpkin is so cute! Inside you'll find a little cottage store with all sorts of goodies, from local snacks, to candles, wine, hoodies, all of it. You may get your warm apple cider donut here. Upstairs is where you may get your hard apple cider, or just apple cider. There are so many nooks and crannies that are also decorated for fall, where you may enjoy your cider of choice. We brought ours outside. The donut was warm, fresh, soft and so tasty!
